MY EXPERIENCE WITH GOOGLE FI HAS BEEN THE WORST THING THAT I HAVE EVER HAD TO GO THROUGH, JOINED FI ON SEP 22 ON THE 23 I CALLED AND THEY COULD NOT GET ME A #, THEY REDID THE PROCESS AND TOLD ME TO WAIT ANOTHER 24 HOURS, I WAITED TILSEP 26 STILL NO SERVICE SO I CALLED AGAIN AND WAS SHUFFLED AROUND FOR 30 MINUTES THAEN ASKED FOR A SUPERVISOR WAITED ON PHONE AGAIN FOR 40 TO 45 MIN. HE CAME BACK AND TOLD ME IT WILL BE ATLEAST 48 TO 72 HOURS FOR THEM TO GIVE ME A # THATS A TOTAL OF SEVEN DAYS JUST TO ACTIVATE PLUS 3 CALLS AND HOURS ON PHONE. SUPERVISOR HELPED ME CANCELL SERVICE AND I ASKED HIM FOR EMAIL TO MAKE COMPLAINT AND HE HUNG UP PHONE. TERRIBLE ALL AROUND EXPERIANCE WITH THIS COMPANY !!!!

I paid Google $400 for a phone I still don't have.

I ordered my phone and paid for it up front.
They mailed me an empty package. For a week it sat at the FedEx hub before I finally looked up tracking on it.
I saw it was being held at FedEx and called. They tell me the package was empty and that I need to work with Google Fi's team to get them to process an insurance claim on it.
I call Google Fi and I'm on the phone with FedEx and/or them for 2 hours.
They say they're going to replace the phone and thanks for my help.
They send me a REFURBISHED PHONE.
I call and say "What the heck?"
I'm on the phone for 45 minutes.
I get kicked off the call on accident and NO ONE CALLS ME BACK.
I get an email the next day saying they were going to handle it and send me a package and that once they had their refurbished phone, they'd process a refund.
TWO WEEKS GO BY WITHOUT A WORD.
I finally call and go through the arduous process of getting verified. She says they're WAITING ON MY RESPONSE.
I go back the email they sent and lo-and-behold, the last sentence of the email asks me to reply.
For TWO WEEKS THEY SAID NOTHING WHILE I WAITED TO GET MY MONEY BACK.
Customer service is doing their best but there's nowhere to escalate. It's literally just "You have to deal with this. We don't care if we screwed up."
I feel so helpless. Because of a phone company. I'm just stunned by how many hoops and how much time I have to spend fixing their MULTIPLE MISTAKES myself. DON'T GIVE THEM YOUR MONEY.

DO NOT USE THIS SERVICE

I’m a young woman traveling alone in Europe. This morning I get an email that I’ve broken the terms of contracts so they’ve suspended my ability to use data abroad… which is vital for me, needing to use google maps to get around by myself in an unfamiliar place. I did NOT break the terms of contracts, which they then confirmed for me in a response email. And yet they still won’t turn my service back on. They’re asking me a bunch of irrelevant questions like why I’m here, instead of just resolving the issue that THEY caused. This is seriously ridiculous, I’m traveling alone by myself and now I feel unsafe and unable to navigate. I don’t know what I’m going to do now but this is seriously not okay and puts customers in danger.

Stay away

They claim it’s an international plan. You get charged for international phone calls. If you pay extra for hotspot, it doesn’t work internationally. Complete waste of $1500 I’ve the 3 months I was with them. The sales and customer service team lie and are completely misleading.

Do not use Google Fi

Do not use Google Fi, just waste money and time during travel. It literally ruined our trip!

We bought 3 Google fi SIM card to use at Canada, only worked on my husband’s pixel phone and have no service with other 2 iPhones. We wasted hours trying to figure it out and called customer support for 30mins, the rep insisted we are not able to have service because simply unlimited does not support Canada/International and he is wrong!! It supports Canada and Mexico as written in plan details! He insisted we to upgrade to Simply Unlimited Plus so we can have data in Canada.

I feel this is like scam, wasted so much money, time and gets nothing! Customer support is useless too.

Should have just get a T-Mobile International SIM card for $35. So disappointed with Google service and product!

Money talks... Customers don't matter to this company

We tried Google Fi for the 3 months they offered 1/2 price (Flexible Plan). Unfortunately, during the 3 weeks previous to the end of this offer, we had a health issue with a family member, yesterday our loved one passed away. Today I open my emails and see the statement for our next cycle. I realize I haven't made the switch to Simply Unlimited. I get on chat with a Google Fi agent. They tell me that it won't be possible because we are now in the middle of the cycle and their automated system wouldn't be able to do it until Aug 25th. I ask when the cycle began... The cycle began on July 25th... yesterday. So I ask to speak to a supervisor. I get an email from the supervisor repeating the same thing. I replied to please help us modify our plan TODAY, we won't be able to pay the amount due on Aug 5th. No response. This is a prepaid celular service. We are searching for another service provider and will not refer this company to anyone. We are 2021 and GOOGLE cannot override their automated system. It's a shame that I am dealing with loss and was expected to think about a cell switch in the middle of all we have been through. I'm greatly disappointed.

I want to pay off my phone and the only option that they give it to add it to your next billing cycle. I called and explained that I want to pay it off now and not three weeks from now. They refused to let me pay it off before the next billing cycle. I kept saying that I don't want to wait. I want to pay it off now. They still wouldn't let me. I have never been treated this way from any carrier. I will be taking my business elsewhere.

Absolute garbage company

Absolute garbage company. You will be lucky to really get your phone to work. Not to mention the fact that their unlimited plan caps at 18gb........unlimited right.
Thats the smaller end of the problem. Let's discuss the hidden fees. Or the customer services people with English names that you can't understand
Or their incredibly rude attitude when them repeating the same 4 sentences is not helping you.
Or the garbage phones you pay insurance on monthly that you STILL HAVE TO PAY A FEE ON IF YOU REPLACE IT. ABSOLUTE GARABE IF YOU ASK ME.
They refuse to refund money that is owed to me cause they say it is justified I should have been aware that even when a service is paused they still get to charge you $80 every three months on TOP OF the phone payment, insurance, and Google service monthly fee you are paying. I absolutely regretted my decision 5 minutes into getting into it with this company. They only care about their money and nothing else.

For years I've been a strong advocate…

For years I've been a strong advocate for Google , but Google Fi is a scam ...no unlimited data plan they slow down the data after 22 gigs .I had transferred two numbers from two pre paid plans the second number they couldn't transfer so they gave me a new number but reassured me I'd still get all the promotions . The second billing cycle was paid now they are charging me for the second phone another 200$ on top of the 50 I paid for an out dated piece of crap Moto g powered . Two weeks now I've been calling them and they escalated the issue to another department and told me it'll be taken care of now today they denied my claim ( the same day that the extra 200$ is supposed to be charged from my account) I'm from the ghetto I know a script flip when I see one ...Google is just another greedy conglomerate try to jip everyday people out of their hard earned pennies. This is not the way to do business, please don't fall for this scam just because Google put their name on it.

You would think that since it's Google it would be a reputable and straight forward service, but it IS most definitely a bait and switch scam! Everything from the "keep your current phone and number" to the confusing offset billing system is designed specifically to rip you off! Please do not fall for this completely dishonest service.

I would give them 0 stars if I could. I have had sprint for a few years and wanted to change. Google tells me that I have to poay in full as Experian said that I only quilified for 400.00. HUH... Well that can not be right, I have a decent credit score. Called and spoke to experian who told me that they never give how much. Since then I have gotten 2 more credit cards and a few other items that put my credit in a higher bracket. Ok, Ill try again. I ask this idiot to re run my credit, he gives me experian phone number. Reallyyyyyy, oki, try to tell him but he is soooo dumb he keeps reading the same lines. No phone number to talk to someone. What a joke.

Terrible service in areas where my…

Terrible service in areas where my Verizon service was excellent. I drop calls and cut out more often than not. It's become a joke with my coworkers that I can never be heard on calls. Now, my messaging has stopped working. I'll be switching back to Verizon next week. Absolutely DO NOT recommend Google Fi.

Do not get GoogleFi!!!!!

Do not get GoogleFi!!!!!! First I got baited and switched on what a plan actually costs, then I immediately canceled my service and account (before any use) yet they can't seem to do that correctly, I returned the phone immediately after and have proof of delivery a month ago yet they are taking money out of my account anyway!!!!!! Customer service is useless!!!!!

Horrific customer service!

Where do I even begin? I have never had such a horrific experience with a phone company. Why even have customer support if they are powerless to do anything to help? Impotent customer service agents with meaningless scripts full of equally meaningless platitudes. From saying bills are automatically done and no one has any control over them, to agents keeping you on hold for 20 minutes filling out requests for exclusions that never materialize. Apparently almost dying is not a valid excuse to extend a courtesy forgiveness on activating a phone a few days late. Hours spent emailing, calling, and online chatting have only garnered an intense frustration and a desire to protect my friends, family, and co-workers from signing on with Google fi.

Google Fi is the WORST!!!!

If it was possible I would leave 0 stars. This is the WORST service I have EVER received. I was given a phone number that was still activated by the previous owner. Google refused to give me any refund because I "used their service." I was not receiving calls or messages and I had already given this number out for my small business - so I lost business. The customer service reps read off a script and copy and pasted their replies from the FAQs. Not helpful and have zero empathy for the awful service they have. I wanted a refund for 7 days - 7 days that I was sharing a line with the previous owner. I did not receive ANY help from customer service.

The reps repeatedly lied to me directly on the phone about not being able to access my old account or view certain things, then I call in with these issues and somehow they can pull up details from it. It was the most frustrating experience of my life. It's almost like the customer reps are just there to answer phones call and laugh while they take your money and screw you over. I had issues from day 1 and should have seen the red flags, but I felt like it was a cheap option.

STAY AWAY FROM GOOGLE FI!!!! You will regret it.

worst. customer. service. ever.

I give them 2 stars instead of 1 mainly because the ease of use on international travel and overall cell coverage are good. But their customer service is god awful. I've had to deal with them a handful of times in the last several years and every time has been a nightmare with the service rep unable to do anything without escalation and then it taking days sometimes weeks to hear anything back. Any attempt to call in to get an update is met with an "please wait until someone contacts you". I'm finally fed up enough and will be taking my business elsewhere.

Horrible service

Horrible service. They said my coverage would be excellent, but was spotty at best. I went back to my prior carrier with into 10 days. But, are might guess. they tried to continue to bill me for services stating that account was "on hold" . Goof luck getting anyone to straighten this out. I finally had to call the credit card company and issue a hold on auto payment. DO NOT USE GOOGLEFI! One of the most crooked companies I have dealt with.

Horrible customer service

Probably one one of the worst customer service ever!! I tried chatting with someone called yorky about a simple issue that i needed a return label coz i lost the one they sent, and he was HORRIBLE said it will require escalation, made it so complex then when i told him to transfer me to someone else he ended the chat. SHAME ON GOOGLE FOR RUINING ITS BRAND WITH SUCH HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE. Switching back.
