Not only brought the bike back to feeling exactly as it was brand new, servicing it fully and fitting a new chain and spare parts (brake pads) I had supplied as I had them previously with no question.
He also went the extra mile and checked an issue with my rear cassette to give me confidence in it while also fixing a seized bolt on my rear brakes without any questions making it easier for me next time to replace them myself.
Booking was also super easy via the website, updates were easy to do on the app along with payment online.
10/10 - definitley use if looking for a great value and good customer service bike repair and servicing ! 👏🏼

Easy to book online and very welcoming and friendly service, staff explained what would be done and the bike feels great. Recommended!
Avoid this shop at all costs. Fettle are absolute conmen dressed up as a “professional” service, with dishonesty and lip service as their trademark.
I booked my commuter bike in on Tuesday for a full service. Straight away, they tried to charge me £62 to put on a tyre; whilst you expect to pay a bit over the odds for the tyre itself, they tried charging me an additional £17.50 for labour, for a job that takes less than a minute. When I questioned this, they became defensive, claiming their labour charges were “justified.” In reality, most reputable bike shops include such fitting when you’re already paying for a service. That should have been my warning sign.
By Saturday, I had still heard nothing from the shop. This is my only means of commuting, so I chased them. After multiple unanswered phone calls, I drove over just before closing to collect the bike. This is where the real disgrace begins.
Your so-called mechanic, Juan, was already leaving early; sat in his car, ready to drive off. When I asked about my bike, he casually told me the brakes “still needed doing,” and then lied directly to my face by saying I should come back on Sunday because he would be working to catch up. On that assurance, I wasted even more of my time and made another trip down on Sunday.
Of course, when I arrived, the shutters were down. The shop was closed. Juan was nowhere to be seen. His “promise” was nothing but a blatant lie.
Let me be clear:
- They overcharge shamelessly for basic jobs.
- They ignore customers, don’t update them, and don’t answer phones.
- Their mechanic not only left work unfinished after a week, but also lied to me to get me out the door.
- They wasted multiple trips of my time and left me without essential transport.
I’ve been road cycling and commuting for decades. I’ve used countless independent bike shops, and I have never encountered anything as incompetent, dishonest, and unprofessional as Fettle. Even Halfords would be an improvement compared to this sham of a business.
Do yourself a favour: go to Balfe Bikes in Streatham, De Ver Cycles, or literally any independent shop that values customers. Fettle is a waste of money, time, and trust.

I’m a chronic bike neglector, but it rides like new every time it’s serviced at fettle! You get a little email to approve services, so no phone calls in the middle of the work day. Efficient and practical. No complaints and bike rides like a dream!

This is my second service for my Specialized hybrid bike. I got an incredible service on it before a huge cycling trip where I abused it in the Sierra Nevada, and it needing attending to again after the trip. Flawless service, only delay was caused by a wheel needing to be ordered, and even that was only 2 working days. Bike literally feels brand new. Booking the service, seeing the quote and approving each part is the easiest thing ever. I'll never go anywhere else again!

The app is very user-friendly, any instructions I left for the person picking up and dropping off the bike were followed to the letter, the tracking for pick up and drop off was really helpful and my bike has returned in a fantastic condition after having been unused for nearly a year. I’m really happy with their service and I will be recommending them to everyone who wants their bike serviced for the warmer months!
Took my bike in for a service because pedaling I was losing power in the pedaling - got it back with a hub service and new cables and cassette, took 10 minutes off my commute this morning.
