We liked it

My wife and I rented a car (pandina) for 5 days. The car was practically new. Clean. We liked everything. We didn't have to wait long for the shuttle from the airport and back. Thanks

CAVEAT EMPTOR

I would strongly advise you to steer clear of this outfit, they are at best a back alley operation or at worst a front for a scam. They are not accredited at the Naples airport, as it transpires you have walk (really bad directions) several hundred metres and wait on a street corner to be collected which took a lot of time and frustration to find, eventually we were conveyed through a maze of back roads and alleys to a completely out of the way location consisting of a scruffy little yard containing a tiny portacabin. On collection the car had a number of bumps and bruises, the most noticeable were highlighted on the rental document and you were encouraged to record them yourself but here's where you really need to be cautious as I will explain later.
On returning the car we were really running late for our return flight to be met with several people picking up or dropping off and one staff member to deal with them all. When someone did get around inspecting, the guy doing it showed me a PRE-EXSISTING photo of a tiny scrape on one of the alloy rims and claimed it was new damage unless I had a photo or video to disprove this but I hadn't noticed it before.
I was desperate to make the airport for the flight (which we missed) so I couldn't spend time disputing this. I guess this car makes them more money from minor damage claims than it does on rental and some of the other reviews would support this. So the result of this was, we had to pay for the scrapped rim, a nights accommodation in Naples, a very expensive alternative flight the next day to the wrong airport, bus and train fares to get to the airport where I had embarked from and additional parking fees for my own car and a complete day lost.
They come in cheaper than others but now you can see why.
It is fair to say I am a bit pissed!

Regarding vehicle condition and return procedures: all existing damage is recorded in the rental agreement, and we always encourage customers to take their own photos at pickup for full transparency.

Pushy, rude staff. Don’t even have the cars they’re advertising.

Paid the full coverage through economybookings.com. When I got to the felirent counter, the hire company then try to sell you theirs - otherwise you’d still be out of pocket in the event of an accident. I was quoted an additional £260! Obviously I didn’t accept it.

I was also charged an additional £10 for cleaning fees (£25 if you don’t take it out on pick up).

The car was a downgrade.

There was just over an eighth of fuel in the tank.

Service was pushy and rude.

Go direct to a main rental company. Felirent and economy bookings are an absolute con.

AVOID.

Its been already 3 weeks and ddnt…

Its been already 3 weeks and ddnt receive my deposit back. They are not answering the calls.
Also after booking via internet have to pay additional 150euro and had too because they woudnt gave back the money i payed before.

Worst experience

Worst experience in my life . We made a booking several days before but on our arrival my husband realised he had forgotten his driver license in his car at our point of origin. As we could not change it on my name we rented a car directly from them with full coverage . On our return they claimed there was a little scratch on the door and they wanted to have us paid another amount of 67 euro which we refused .Besudes this the lady was very rude. Few days later I noticed they took the money of my credit card without my permission. Stay far away from this rental car service.

STAY AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY !!!

I have reserved a car for 10pm and when I arrive there the office was closed, I have try to call all the numbers but no response.

All my travel plans were disrupted and I had to rent another car from another office next to it that was open.
Next day I contacted the manager to discuss the issue and I faced a very bad attitude from her and no customer service at all, they also refuse to refund me the money paid for a car that I didn’t even picked up.

Worst experience ever.

Sono un cliente abituale di Felirent dal 2022, con oltre 100 giorni di noleggio annui. Lo scorso sabato, presso la filiale Felirent dell’aeroporto di Bologna, mi è stato negato il ritiro di un’auto già prenotata e pagata, a causa di una nuova policy interna che vieta i noleggi consecutivi – mai comunicata in precedenza né da Felirent né dal broker.

Non solo sono stato lasciato a piedi a 40 km da casa con un bambino di 3 anni ad aspettarmi, ma il responsabile della filiale si è anche rivolto a me con toni arroganti e privi di qualsiasi supporto. Nessuna alternativa, nessuna scusa, solo una frase: “Scriva pure una recensione negativa.”

Per concludere, lo stesso responsabile mi ha accompagnato in navetta guidando per tutto il tempo con il cellulare in mano, comportamento pericoloso che ho documentato con una foto.

Il rimborso è stato gestito dal broker, Felirent non ha mai offerto scuse, né un gesto commerciale, né una reale presa di responsabilità.
Mai più con Felirent.

I’ve been a regular Felirent customer since 2022, renting cars for over 100 days a year. Last Saturday, at Bologna Airport, I was denied pickup of a car that was already booked and prepaid, due to a new internal policy banning consecutive rentals — never previously communicated by Felirent or the broker.

Not only was I left stranded 40 km from home with a 3-year-old child waiting, but the branch manager spoke to me in a rude and completely unhelpful manner. No alternatives offered, no apology — just: “Go ahead and leave a bad review.”

To top it off, the same manager drove me to the airport while holding his phone in his hand the entire time, which I documented with a photo.

The refund was issued by the broker. Felirent never offered an apology, any compensation, or showed any real accountability.
Never again.

Bad experience

Bad experience. We will not rent here again. The lock was supposedly broken, at cost of 511 euros.
We never opened the lock with the key because we could open the car remotely with the key.

So we never touched it, but also didn't think of testing this out beforehand. We have rented a car so many times, but never experienced anything like this.

Now suddenly it would be broken, and we had to pay for it right away. What a rip-off.

You can be critical of everything beforehand, but they will find something in the end

NOT EVEN A BEFORE AND AFTER VIDEO WILL HELP

The manual locking system was invoiced 450 euros for 1 door - on a fiat Panda- the key worked electronically so we never opened the door manually
I made a video of first and last day but they still found something and of course they say it was my fault

FELIRENT is a small company, but well organized. The stuff is friendy, fast and they speak several languages. Uncomplicated! Good cars. Airport shuttle within 10min. You can call anytime! Best is to book directly. Thank you Felirent-Team!!

I do not recommend felirent

I do not recommend felirent! They charge me 901€ for a windshield replacement due to a damage that was already there at the pick-up! The damage is also less than 1mm and it not visible unless you know its there! Very bad service, and obviously they are a pure scam business unfortunately.

DO NOT USE

DO NOT USE! Scammers, charged for cleaning fees and fuel a week after our holiday. Car was refueled before returning, photographs to prove it! Both cars we rented in terrible condition, not cleaned when we got them, engine light on in one. Terrible customer service

Terrible experience

Terrible experience. Arrived at Naples airport 9.30pm and took us 40 minutes to get to office (10 minutes drive from airport but we had to find the driver). The shuttle can't go in to airport so they have to keep driving around until you eventually see their name on car. Was told by the customer service lady, who spoke excellent English, that I would not be charged €97 after hours fee, then when all paperwork had been signed the "computer" decided it was "too late". When I disputed this she suddenly denied telling me and that "her English was not very good". STAY AWAY from this company.

Last week we booked a rental car online with this company while travelling abroad. The deal was that when we arrived at the airport, we would call them to arrange a shuttle pickup. We tried calling several times, but nobody answered. After 30 minutes of trying, someone finally answered and asked where we wanted to meet.

When we finally got to their station, I gave them all the booking papers, and they told us that because we were 30 minutes late, we had lost our booking. They took 250 euros from us for absolutely nothing — we never received a car.

Since we were stranded and there were no other rental options nearby, we had no choice but to book another car with the same company, and it ended up costing us 639 euros for 6 days — much more than our original booking.

This company is completely unprofessional, dishonest, and takes advantage of travellers. They showed no flexibility, no understanding, and zero customer service.
Save yourself the stress and money — do NOT book with them!

Avoid at all cost

Appalling company, we booked 2 cars for our holiday. Our flight was 1 hour late so they hit us with over 600 euro in hidden fees for out of hours and child seats as soon as we arrived.

Then spent ages pointing out all the scratches from previous renters for which they will try and charge extra at the end and never bother fixing.
