I scheduled a flight to S. Korea with Asiana airlines. I was given an option to do seat upgrades which were handled by FareScan. The day I arrived at the airport, I found that the seat upgrades I had paid for had not been processed and forwarded to Asiana by FareScan.
I called FareScan support while at the airport to resolve the matter but they said they couldn't right then but I could contact them later to sort it out. In the end, I had to repurchase my seat upgrades with the intent to later work with FareScan, after the flight, to get refunded.
When I returned from my trip, I contacted Bank of America to dispute the charge. I was told I would have to try to resolve it with FareScan first. I attempted to do so. An 8 month series of promised resolutions and delays by FareScan support followed until I disputed the charge again only to be denied by BofA for going over their 60 day limit.
Two lessons learned here: don't do business with FareScan and watch out for the 60 day limit for disputing with BofA, something that is not widely published and not mentioned by their automated system.
If, and only if I could give them negative stars... I can only wish. Stil waiting for my refund 45 days later. The staff use fake names and promise earth and heavens to solve the problems, even in writing. Do not fall for it, they never do. Just pay $10 or $20 more and book directly with the airline or another agency. This is a headache.
I had a very frustrating experience with farescan.com that I feel compelled to share. Their customer service is incredibly poor, making it a hassle to change, upgrade, or cancel a ticket. When I called to change my ticket, I was put on hold for what was supposed to be just 3-4 minutes. However, after waiting for 35 minutes, they simply hung up on me!
When I called back, a different representative informed me that there were no tickets available on their end. Yet, I checked the original airline's website and found the ticket was still available. It was frustrating to learn that they were misinformed.
Moreover, when I finally tried to change my ticket, they wanted to charge me a hefty penalty. The whole experience felt disorganized and unprofessional. It’s clear that their customer service team lacks the necessary training to effectively communicate with American customers, which only added to my frustration.
I would not recommend farescan.com to anyone looking to book flights. Save yourself the trouble and choose a more reliable service!
Very appreciative of its good work. What is not to like about a couple of 30% discounted international flights? We were at first alarmed to see those bad reviews, but it all turned out fine for us. Bravo.
They canceled my flight because the fare went up and didn't bother to inform me for 13 days! I only found out when I tried to follow up. Can you imagine? They canceled my ticket but made no effort to contact me at all—no email, no phone call, nothing.
Their excuse? “The fare went up.” So instead of reaching out, they just canceled my ticket and left me in the dark. This kind of careless behavior is completely unacceptable, especially from an Indian company that should know better. How can you treat your customers like this?
If you care about your travel plans, avoid this company. They clearly don’t care about their customers or their service.

These guys are a complete scam. They claimed I entered the wrong email address, did not refund my ticket, and made me wait on the phone for 45 minutes with useless customer support who kept trying to scam me. These scammers should be reported to the FTC and Kayak judging by all the reviews here.
Paid extra for more legroom ( preferred seats), they never paid airline for the extra legroom so I had to pay more to the airline. Fare scan was supposed to refund it to me and still nothing. Scammers and no one speaks decent English!!
Would give 0 star if I can! DEFINITELY A SCAM! Booked tickets and never got confirmation, called and after multiple dropped calls, finally got thru and they told me after 4 days of not getting ticket confirmation the prices has gone up, wanted $200 more for the tickets, they said it in a quick way to make you agree....I said NO thank you. Then they would say, "ok madam I'm going to check for discount, ooo yes there's a 50% discount, so it would be $25 more per ticket! If you agree now, I'll book it for you!" I was looking online and the same original price that I booked my ticket at is still there, and I was told it was not a real time price?!?? SCAM! Do not fall for it! Make sure you call your credit card company to let them know that FARESCAN is FRAUD!

Bunch of scammers from India or similar place. They play all sort of games to charge you extra. On 6/21/23 they wanted to charge me $170 per passenger in addition to what I paid in “ order to confirm the flight “ I contacted the airline and they said that was not true flight was confirmed already long ago. Stay away from the low lives. I will report them to the FTC, DOJ and other agencies.
Do not use! They sent me a confirmation, but I found out the night before that the flight was never booked! When I called to complain, they hung up on me 8 times!! FRAUDULENT! Do not use! They were sent through Kayak!
Terrible service paid 100 $ for exit seat but airline did not give me exit seat alloted when I booked my ticket. These guys are scammers. Please stay away from them

I received $503 refund. Initial cost of 2tickets $942 + $438 rebook of tix cancelled by the airline due to covid in 2020! Do the math and book elsewhere

Turkish airlines canelled my flight, and an agent from farscan " or should i call the fareSCAM" called me that they will change my flight to a different date and that they have to charge me $170 more. I told the agent the new date will not work form me and that I need a refund, after several phone calls with them they insisted that they cant give me a refund since its a nonrefundable ticket and it was my problem that the new date doesn't work for me.
Never ever buy from these people. I should've looked at their reviews before I bought the ticket but also I blame KAYAK for doing business with these types of scammers since I originally was booking through Kayak and was directed to farescan from there.

I just listened to my mother find out she was charged extra, and the flights no longer existed, and that they would refuse to do anything to help our stranded family in another country. Thankfully, I found this website and have been able to find helpful information from people that have also been screwed by this site. There was a REQUEST for a refund, and the amount was not even the full portion of what she was robbed of, or original price of the ticket. We will do our best to battle them for a full refund, because I know that all we shall get from them is an automated response on this website. DO NOT book from these people. I bought tickets for my family trip to India and they charged me extra $100+ on my card than the price showing on the website. On top of that they called me after couple of days ( my tickets were confirmed by that time) and asked me to pay additional amount because the rates are increased. Not sure how come the price change matters after the tickets are confirmed. They threatened to cancel my tickets if I don't pay the additional amount. Since it's a peak season I was not able to cancel, I paid 200+ additional amount. I have proofs for each transaction. DO NOT book from these people.

I am southasian origin from canada. i feel SHAME calling these guys south asian ( www. farescan.com) all boys and girls work with FAKE NAME. mostly they speak hindi / urdu in the back ground. they seems like either indian or pakistani. they are robbing people.
they robbed me badly leaving me no option. i had no option buying from them because i paid them extra to hold my credit (BIG MISTAKE) which flight i cancelled due to covid.
1) They will promise you that you pay some extra money to hold your fund. and use that fund toward booking ticket in future, they also promised that i have to pay future fare difference only.
2) They will tell you that you have to pay fare difference at the time of rebooking ticket at current fare on farescan website. ( i was agree but they will come up with new thing at the time of booking that still have to pay extra rebook fees, new booking fees, airline policy and many more big false story)
3)You will ended up paying double the price than market.
4) YOU STILL WANA EXPEREINCE THESE GUY> ?? go for it.
5) They trap people. they are absoulate lie.
6) They will keep your visa card information for their data to missuse. this will happen. because they charge me without asking my credit card number. that means thay still kept my visa card information when i book my ticket first time.
7) They will promise you but later on they will turn around.
