No one monitors this site anymore so if there's an issue you are out of luck. I found a new email that supposedly goes to someone who works there, they never answer.

Pretty awful site. It's the same for years and no one is improving it since forever. The Admins are extremely lazy... Like a lot of this sites they don't allow certain themes that are often required for writing a story in specific genre. Try to write about horror slashers without violence. How? In the end it's a kid version of better writing platforms. Plus ff.net is full of trolls. Absolutely no fun. I would recommend other sites to upload stories or read them.

You have a Predator who writes stories but he also stalks his victims. My wife also writes stories & he started reviewing hers and sending her compliments to entice her and it worked. He soon had her email and sent thousands of inappropriate messages thousands of words long & pretending to be a Christian. So called Prayers every morning & they talked 10-12 hours a day for 3 months. He broke up our Marriage he's EVIL! I have some of his evil emails saved if needed. He goes by DanimalBr and TropicalStormFl The picture is of him!

The truly great thing about this site is how long it has been around. There are some really fun stories on this site. However, in that time there have been a few updates here and there... and that's it. I don't feel like the people who run the site actually care about making sure the site runs optimally. Every other month there is a new problem. A couple of months ago I started getting double chapters and double reviews, all of them copies in my emails. Have they even looked at it? I have no idea but it certainly hasn't been fixed.

Now I've been trying to post chapters to stories I've put up already, and new disappear. Nobody can get there, nobody can review it, nobody can even read it. I get that with sites there will be problems, but none of these ever seemed to actually be solved. That is no way to run a site.

Great place for people to publish fan-fiction, but it's run by poor management. There are constantly bots spamming erotic advertisements, and they don't even have a report function, only having a support email. Looking at the history of their actions, I doubt I could trust them.

If I could give this site 0 stars, I would. I have been a member of Fanfiction.net since 2002. Over that period, I have had a few issues here and there with them, but nothing too terrible. However, several years back they decided that writers no longer deserved the option of allowing guest reviews or not. I understand not everyone has an account at this site, but wants to review anyway. I also understand that sometimes people can't (or don't want to) log in and will leave an anonymous review. But it's also true that spiteful trolls will hide behind the "guest" cloak to flame or spam writers, and there's nothing they can do about it. Fanfiction.net used to give you the option to disallow guest reviews, but for some reason they took this away. I've been flamed recently by guest reviewers and am really frustrated that there's nothing I can do but delete the flames (and get this, you've only got 36 hours to do this, after which time it's moved out of the moderation queue and is published). This site has gone downhill so badly recently. I'm extremely disgusted with it. Archive of Our Own is so much better.

I've been a member of this website for years and have written over 80 stories. Over the past 12 months, my most predominant fandom has been overtaken by trolls who have left multiple harassing, spammish, insulting reviews and private messages for me. I've reported and blocked any accounts but nothing has been done. I know from reading others' responses to them that I'm not the only one reporting either, which means that there is no master level moderation going on. Due to the prolonged abuse, I am now removing my fics and deleting my account as a whole because apparently that's the only way to keep these trolls from attacking me since staff doesn't want to do their job.

I use fan fiction to publish all my stories and read my fave ones but the anime freaks (the ones with their nasty smut Fics which is 99% of all anime watchers) and their disgusting fanfics make it go down!!!!!!!!!! I’m so mad!!!!!!!! I was in the middle of a f-ing chapter for my story when it went down. I checked which area caused it all to go down and guess what?? IT WAS THE RATED M ANIME SECTION!!!!!!!!!!!

Heh, I can read good books here from good authors!
But their site could have a more good design!

But still I have no issues using this actually.
Honestly I would prefer Fanfiction.net than Wattpad because Wattpad is giving me intrusive ads.

This site is upcoming deviantART, because this site's administration is just as bad as the one, which deviantART has.. Fanfiction users can write any garbage they like about other people, including false information and insults, which is damaging their reputation on other sites, because fanfiction administration ignores reports about it, just like deviantART administration does. The only thing I can suggest you is to create your own website or blog where you submit your stories and other type of art, because it appears that any site I know, which is meant for fanfiction stories or other art, has become a bully and liar friendly site, where a friendly user has nothing to see.
