This "company" is a bunch of thieves.
Do not ever trust them they have scammed thousands of people. Lies lies lies.
do not buy anything from Vernon…
do not buy anything from Vernon kerswell, Mircrodrone, Extreme Fliers or his wife Ethan Zhou-Kerswell. They have scammed 14,000 people out of over £1.2m for a new drone they have never supplied via crowdfunding channel Indigogo. Kerswell has in excess of 200 court claims against him and more growing daily. Indigogo have started refunded people and have closed the project due to unfulfilled perks. He sold the drone to the backers as a fully developed and extensively test product and just needed the funding to progress to production. Once he closed the refund window he started downgrading parts, making it bigger, heavier and nothing like what was promised. Its a bait and switch scam from the start. Avoid him and his businesses at all costs
Finally as of today 14/09/2021…
Finally as of today 14/09/2021 Indiegogo have shut this scam down. Everyone needs to pursue legal action to get your money back!
Vernon Kerswell is a liar and a thief
Vernon Kerswell, the man-child, self-anointed 'CEO' of Extreme Fliers (he, his husband, and brother-in-law are the whole company) is a pathological liar and a thief.
He lies about having two patents. He has none.
He lies about having two college degrees. He is a college drop-out and never finished a single year.
He lied about having a 'production-ready drone, signed-off and green lit by engineers, guaranteed June 2019 delivery'.
Well, his disastrous Indiegogo project is over 2 years late. He's been sued 200+ times, and counting.
He promised a 126g drone, with a 12mp camera, 1250mAh battery, and 13 minutes flight time.
He rented time on a Chinese sweatshop production line and says that the drone will NOW be 172g with a 5 mp camera, 850mAh battery and it will get. 5-6 minutes flight time. He calls these degraded, obsolete specs 'improvements'
He's a scam artist that has pulled the same Indiegogo fraud several times before.
Despite being over 2 years late, with no end in sight, he refuses to refund anybody, including a widow, a child from whom he stole his life savings, and people in having to stand in food lines with financial trouble due to the pandemic, who pleaded for a refund. Kerswell responded publicly to these pleas with by stating he'll send a t-shirt for the 10,000th comment on the campaign page.
Vernon Kerswell is a despicable liar and thief who should be in prison. (With over 225 criminal complaints filed with London's Metropolitan Police, let's hope that happens.)
He also used footage from a DJI drone and claimed it was from his Microdrone 4.0 prototype.
He is the single most dishonest person on the planet.
STAY AWAY FROM VERNON KERSWELL.

Extreme [F]Liars and its "ceo" — Your Worst Nightmare
At best, the "ceo" of this [dis]organisation is an idiot.

A one star rating for this review, is way too generous!
Obsolete useless 2019 toy product that has never been shipped
MD4 is being sold on Indiegogo. During launch in January 2019(!) we were promised a fully tested ready for production product, to be delivered in June 2019.
It is now February 2021 and Vernon Kerswell (the individual behind this campaign) was forced by IGG to revert back to prototype status. If there will ever be a drone it will be 2 -3 years late. The specs are downgraded meaning the end product will be a silly unstable low resolution toy drone without GPS and with 5 to 6 minute flight time. A completely useless and obsolete toy.
Meanwhile Kerswell is not responding to genuine questions and has not updated the progress frequently. (last year 3 times less then the minimum that IGG demands).
If you don't get the message yet: Stay away from this horrendous campaign and obsolete toy! There are far better products on the market for far less money. Or buy the best (DJI Mini) for just a few bucks more.
A terrible experience from an awful company led by an incompetent CEO
Poor communication, a lack of updates and marketing material that bears no resemblance to the product as it stands are just the start of the issues.
Vernon steadfastly refused to grant refunds to anyone, so I am currently attempting to recover my money by raising a section 75 claim with my credit card provider. I would urge anyone based in the UK to take the same route, and if you're considering backing or buying an Extreme Fliers or Vernon Kerswell project, campaign or product then I would urge you to reconsider.
This company is owned by a mentally ill…
This company is owned by a mentally ill person. Het starts IGG projects with great features but he cannot deliver. He will not refund and nothing is delivered. One big scammer this @vernon Kerswell. Please do not buy anything from this person. He is the clown in his own fantasy freakshow.
A scam operation ran by a clown.
The founder of this company has proven time and again that he is an incompetent, immature manchild. His internet footprint is extensive and highly embarrassing, with him engaging in regular arguments with customers, both on YouTube and Social Media.
As if that wasn’t bad enough, he has also been taken to court several times now in the UK, and has been forced to refund money to various customers he has scammed. Avoid this company at all costs!
Don't get suckered in!
I backed the Micro Drone 3.0 and I was very frustrated and annoyed at the delays in that project. I did eventually get the drone, although the camera was delivered some time later, but it was a big disappointment and more like an expensive toy than an engineered drone. I only flew it a couple of times as cheaper drones were more stable and fun to fly.
I was really reticent about backing Micro Drone 4.0 based on my previous experience but unfortunately I got sucked in again especially based on the information that MD 4.0 was almost ready for production. Another real disappointment was that I recommended it to a friend who also backed MD 4.0. I feel really guilty about this. So here we are, almost 1.5 years behind schedule, and I've just received an email update stating that there will be yet another delay as they have discovered some kind of shaking of the rear arms. To be honest, at this stage I'd take it with the shaking as I am totally fed up waiting for this product. I definitely won't be suckered into a Micro Drone 5.0. I've bought a DJI Mini 2. It may be more expensive than a MD 4.0 but at least it is a physical product. At the very least I have a drone that delivers on its promises.
Terrible experience!!
Advise, don’t do business with extreme fliers or Vernon Kerswell. See the indiegogo comments or look it up on youtube.
Terrible experience with Vernon Kerswell. He can not keep his word.
AVOID!
Avoid. Avoid. Avoid.
backed MicroDrone via Indiegogo. I'm aware of the risks of crowdfunding, but descriptions like 'guaranteed June (2019) delivery', 'extensively tested' and 'ready for production' made me trust them enough to invest (bad mistake!). Now, over one and a half year later (November 2020), there still isn't a drone. There have, however, been plenty of assurances that everything was on schedule:
* March 1, 2019: I will be going to Shenzhen to kick off production.
* March 7, 2019: I am currently in China to officially kick off the production process!
* March 30, 2019: I spent some time in Shenzhen to take a look at how manufacturing is coming along.
* May 3, 2019: I am pleased to say we are currently on schedule.
* May 19, 2019: We are working around the clock to hit our delivery dates and are on schedule to start production in June [2019].
* July 5, 2019: I am confident that in the coming three months we will deliver all the Drones.
* Sept 19, 2019: With the current schedule, we hope to start production in the beginning of October [2019]
* November 22, 2019: Today I'm excited to share with you that Micro Drone 4.0 is officially ready to start mass production!
* Dec 21, 2019: We are a month into production.
* Feb 10, 2020: The first full supply chain Mass Production run has been a success!
Even though it was mentioned time and again that production would take 60 to 90 days to this date ( November 2020), there still isn't a drone. The company blames this on COVID-19 but the timeline clearly shows that the problems originated long before that.
It seems that Extreme Fliers / MicroDrone is simply unable to produce a drone which will live up to the promised standards ('buttery smooth cinematic video').
What they have been able to do is downgrade the specs (increase the weight of the drone whilst lowering the flight time from 13 to 10 minutes) and present them as 'upgrades'. Video shot by prototypes has been subpar and a long way of the video presented in the original video that was used to pitch this project.
Read through the other comments here and on the official forum of Indiegogo and make up your own mind. My advice however: avoid, avoid, avoid!
One star is too many
One star is too many, Fraudulent company run by a cheating, lying fraud.
Crowdfunding Scam
They have my money since January 2019 and told me they will deliver in June 2019. So Corona virus is no excuse.
Its August 2020 and all they do is telling me that they will ship soon. If they ship, the product will be old, outdated and a fail.
WARNING DO NOT BUY FROM EXTREME FLIERS
WARNING: To everyone ever thinking of buying some Extreme Fliers Toys. Just dont do it. Its a scam!!! Whatever Vernon Kerswell is offering or promising, he wont deliver!!! Maybe you’re thinking about Backing MD5.0 or so... dont do it!
I hope this comment warns some future Backers of any Extreme Fliers / Extreme Toys campaign!!!
Pleas dont trust in these lies!!!
Do research, and dont fall for this like me and many others!!
They couldn't be worse
Extreme Liars is a sham company that is allowed to run run scams on Indiegogo. They will over promise, reduce all the specs, and not deliver anything. Worse, they make false and personal accusations against independent and reputable journalists and reviewers. Please NEVER buy or invest in this scam. They cannot be trusted.
