i frequently use expressway to go to dublin airport from co louth. the service i use go dublin to donegal and can experience delays along the route but iv never missed a flight yet. we have fuel protests this week that is causing major delays. i arrived in dublin airport yesterday evening and walked outside to see a bus going to dundalk and i hopped on and got off in dunleer. the roads were empty. we git there in no time. the driver was very helpful and friendly. it's always best to prebook you trip as these buses can be full at peak times.

How you can run a service from the knock airport to Sligo and back and have it run late is beyond me. If you're going to provide a bus service to airport it helps if it runs on time. It took 30 minutes to get everyone on the bus at Sligo heading towards Galway direction and cost us 30 quid each for a 50 minute journey. Extortionate prices should come with good service. It did not.

Opened the doors for an overbooked service 5 minutes before it was due to leave, abrasive driver who yelled at elderly and disabled passengers for trying to get on the bus quickly out of the rain. THIS IS A FOR PROFIT COMPANY that just shut down 3 routes, but gets to act like they're God's gift to Ireland for deigning to ALLOW us to get off convoluted services in rural Ireland that take an hour longer than advertised. I have to use the bus on Fridays to get from Derry to Donegal Town, the 6.30 bus. It is always late, very often dirty. Today (27/03/26) it was so late it left 7.30 pm, so an hour late. I don’t understand why the driver sometimes needs to wait 45min before and sometimes doesn’t. This is the worst bus company I have ever used.

I could go on, but I think the above clearly states that this company has ZERO customer service, logistics and transportation experience, and does not think about the needs and wellbeing of their customers.

The driver stopped the bus for a cigarette break, and after returning, remained on his phone for approximately 10 minutes before continuing the journey.
Many passengers, including myself, rely on arriving on time to catch the last bus from the city centre to get home, as we cannot afford alternative transport such as a taxi. While delays can happen, it is extremely frustrating that the bus was made late due to a cigarette and phone break when we were only 25 minutes away from Limerick.
Although the driver is not responsible for how passengers get home after arrival, he is responsible for making every effort to get us there on time. Delays caused by personal breaks at that stage of the journey are unacceptable.

I honestly don’t even know where to start. This is by far the worst bus service I have ever experienced. The buses are always late, they often smell like urine or cigarettes, and today was the final straw.
Halfway through the journey, we were all kicked off the bus because of a “service issue in Cork.” No proper explanation, no apology, no solution. We were told to wait “maybe an hour” and that someone might come pick us up — while we were still 130 km away from our destination. Completely unacceptable.
This company is unreliable, unprofessional, and clearly doesn’t care about its passengers. If you need to be somewhere on time, do NOT trust this service. You will be disappointed.

Nice driver but horrible coach Route 51
Jumped on at ATU in Galway for my ride to Shannon Airport. The driver was kind enough and very helpful but the coach was so warm it actually made me feel sick and faint. They need some newer coaches I think but thanks for the great driver. Route 51 Galway.

If I could give no stars I would! I am making a further complaint again. First of all. I made a complaint on the 6th November 2025 in regards to a bus departing earlier than the actual scheduled time. I received a response on the 24th November 2025 advising me that this shouldn’t be happening and the driver had been spoken to. Then further on to yesterday (Friday 19th December 2025) I was waiting for the same bus. I rang through to customer services and they said it was a private hire it could 20 minutes, 25 minutes or even an hour late. That first of all is completely unacceptable. I then proceeded to wait until I had an email at 09:21 from yourselves advising that the service has been cancelled. 35 minutes after the scheduled time! Which meant I lost an hours work. Then I go to get the bus at 16:22 from Newcastle West back to Duagh. And that service was late and did not arrive until 17:00. Then the driver went past the stop, when I got his attention, he then advised me that his machine was broken and I should have told him. If I knew this when I was on the bus I would have done exactly that. So I had to walk back in to the village, after being dropped on the main road. Then today (Saturday 20th December 2025) the bus had yet departed again at 08:41 instead of the scheduled departure time. Me and another person were waiting for that bus for work purposes. I tried calling your customer service team and my call was repeatedly ended. (I have the call log on my phone to show this.) When I finally got through to your team they didn’t even try to resolve anything and again ended the call. I have not used today’s tickets as I have now lost a days wages due to your incompetence of a company. Public transport needs to be more reliable. There is too many people in this country that choose to drive illegally to get to work, because clearly the likes of your bus service can not be relied on. I would like a full refund on my tickets for the 19th December and 20th December 2025. This is absolutely unacceptable and absolutely diabolical. I will be passing this over to the local news. So they can be advised of service you cannot provide.

I never write reviews when a service is bad because I understand that not everything can be perfect but this has to be the worst bus service I've ever had to use. It's so utterly unreliable, I am currently writing this at my bus stop that I've been waiting at for 2 hours in the freezing cold of mid December. It's an absolute joke having this happen to your customers. Expressway need to shape up quickly as this is an unacceptable standard of service.
