This was the worst experience I’ve ever…
This was the worst experience I’ve ever had with trying to find a job. They were so disrespectful to me that I couldn’t believe the entire experience with the Bloomington staff was atrocious and humiliating to say the least and the way they made me feel on top of telling me that they weren’t going to offer me any job at all even though they contacted me through zip recruiter to offer a job they said was a perfect match then I decided to go in to the local office and that’s where the awful experience began and followed with they would not be offering me any work and were going to go with other candidates and gave no reason
I really should’ve read the reviews…
I really should’ve read the reviews before trusting Express Employment Professionals in Covington. My experience as a white male was the worst I’ve ever had with any hiring agency. I see now a lot of people have had similar experiences. They push you to leave good reviews, but the actual experience is the complete opposite.
The staff at this location, Krissy at the front and Emma as the “employment specialist,” were very unprofessional. Communication was terrible. They sent me to an interview for a job I would’ve never applied for on my own. It just wasn’t a good fit for me at all. I trusted them because they were so sure I had it, and I passed up another job that paid a little less because of that. After the interview, I never got a proper follow up. No call, nothing. Meanwhile I’m stressing about bills and trying to figure out what’s going on.
When I brought up serious issues from a job site, like guys openly drinking on the job and bragging about being messed up while working, it was completely brushed off. I even sat there for about an hour trying to talk to someone about it and was made to feel like I was the problem for bringing it up. That’s not something small, that’s a safety issue. Nobody cared at all.
Another big issue was the way things were handled with drug screening. I was told straight up that I would be marked as a pass without actually being tested, just based off how I look and the fact I have a valid driver’s license. That should be concerning to any employer using this agency because you really don’t know who they’re sending you. I even told them I had prescriptions and it still didn’t matter.
The way candidates are treated doesn’t feel fair or consistent either. From what I personally saw and heard, certain people are talked about differently and given different types of opportunities. It raises real concerns about how decisions are being made behind the scenes.
There’s no real accountability here. No HR, just a local office doing whatever they want. When I explained how much this situation affected me mentally and financially, it was basically turned back on me like it was my fault.
Overall this place cost me time, money, and opportunities. I trusted them and got left out to dry. I would strongly recommend going to any other staffing agency around here.
This company informed me that they had…
This company informed me that they had employment in my area which was not true. I went in for a meeting and interview for them to never contact me back again. When I called to follow up the story changes to we don’t have any jobs in your area. So this is clearly a lie my by this company. I would recommend other companies for employment as trying to find clients for work contracts. I believe this companies people who can drive to work assignments that they can get and discriminate on people who get to these assignments.
⚠️ Forewarning To Job Seekers: Before signing on with Express Employment Professionals, read the 1–2 star reviews first.
FITCHBURG LOCATION: My recent experience with Express Employment Professionals, specifically under the direction of Carey A. Campbell (Fitchburg Location), was deeply disappointing. Despite applying for customer service roles that matched my background, I was instead sent to a facility where many of the workers were part of a prison work-release program—something that was never disclosed up front. OWNER: Carey A. Campbell
When I advocated for myself in the face of workplace misconduct, the response was silence, followed by immediate dismissal from the assignment. Express’s failure to communicate, support, or match talent fairly is troubling. The assignment also failed to align with my qualifications and involved hazardous, dust-filled working conditions.
In my observation, quality placements seem inconsistently awarded, with an unspoken bias that professional people of color often feel but can’t always prove. There are already hundreds of negative reviews across job-seeking platforms about Express Employment — including dozens tied directly to the Madison branch — and thousands more nationwide.
The pattern is consistent: poor communication, misleading postings, and placements that don’t match candidate qualifications. Forewarning to job seekers: always read the negative reviews on staffing agencies before you sign on.
The mission statements may look good, but the reviews tell the real story.
This agency may be helpful for some, but my experience raises serious concerns about equity, safety, and professional respect.
Anyone considering working with this branch or with Carey A. Campbell should weigh these concerns carefully before moving forward.
I don’t have any issues with them
I don’t have any issues with them, just wish they had more helpdesk or remote positions available.
Telemarketing firm that acts like an Employment Staffing Company
This office in South Colorado Springs is absolutely garbage it's a telemarketing firm label themselves as the staffing company they had me uproot from North Dakota to move halfway across the country to Colorado cuz they had three jobs to put me in I went in there for an interview cuz they didn't have three jobs they were going to see what they could do then then heard nothing from my family and friends came across the country and heard nothing now I get attitude when I call them like well we're looking and I get some snooty woman on the phone this place is garbage stay away at all costs the same is as true in Fargo North Dakota i think just in general they're telemarketers so if you're trying to get people to work for you don't call them if you need a job don't call them they get bonuses and stuff based on I heard them in there I heard them in the office doing they did a little rush sale thing and they went and called them players and just just trying to push themselves on give me my business card and do all this did they do this little rushdale thing by the way while I was waiting for an interview so this was the more important thing was to get people to come into the office and sign up absolute garbage
So I have an outstanding resume when it…
So I have an outstanding resume when it comes to Machine operating, or Operater skills. So we had a very unprofessional employee at the front desk or whatever they worked inside Express had sent a very unpleasant text to me that early morning asking me why I didn't return to the assignment Cambridge Lee Industries a sad company to work for with poor salary starting at $12 hr . Message: to Express Employment $12-$13-$14 -$15 is not enough for a salary in 2025 . This company don't care about it's clients when it comes to helping them find excellent jobs. They only care about getting paid they don't care how the company managers talk to their people or treat them. They will tell you a lie just to feel a position, and will drop you anytime they feel like it . That's not helping people find jobs ! That's using and throwing away the American people for money gains. Also will hire migrants in Manager positions with no experience at all . Bad company to work for in Fayetteville,NC ✨ .Stay away !!!
Express professionals of the New River…
Express professionals of the New River valley is liars
A few minutes before my interview?
A few minutes before my scheduled interview, I received an email saying "Express Employment Professionals is considering other candidates at this time for their virtual hiring event".
Am glad, says a lot about the company!
Express is not very professional
They didn’t listen to me at all during the interview. They had personal interests that were more important. I got gypped out of the job that I was interested in. The whole thing was confusing and a very negative experience.
Rude & Unprofessional
They placed me at Webster school at 16 a hour to start. Got up every morning at 5am to be on the bus at 530am so I wouldn't be late Monday through Friday. Only days I missed in the 4months I was there were for death in my family in which I lost my dad, big brother, & grandpa. They hired me under Carletus Hines who works for PCCEO, but I directly worked under Reginald Miles. I was late only twice because I missed my bus & showed up there at 7:21. My original time to be there was from 7-3:30. Everything was cool, well at least I thought. I walked into to work on 5/05/2025 at 6:20am, C- Hines came in between 7:30-8 & told me to call Express so I called. Come to find out C-Hines ended my employment 5/02/2025 because some honeybuns came up missing (in which i had nothing to do with, never seen, never touched, or even heard of until the day my dad died & I took off) & I was getting overtime that PCCEO had a problem with. Truth is, C-Hines never liked me & said we never met in the middle because I was filling out my own time card in which I only needed his signature so he had a problem with it. Dude was never there & when he was there all he did was sit around & talk to the front desk lady & lunch lady, straight LAZY! Reggie did everything & what he needed help with I helped him with. Racheal had a problem with me taking multiple pictures of my time card. I took a front pic, middle pic, end pic, & full pic because my phone is messed up & camera has tape over it so my phone can stay together. She told me I was wasting there paper because of all the pics. So on 5/05/2025 Racheal & her boss was so rude & didn't even let me pled my case nor did they have my back & I got the big boss rudely raised her voice , kept talking over me, & than hung up in my face after saying they were going to end my employment.
They haven’t gotten back to me for…
They haven’t gotten back to me for years . I recently filled out a front desk receptionist position and emailed them and call them about it . They told me I didn’t have experience despite having 4 years of experience. They didn’t read my resume . This company might be racist .
They were very helpful with helping me…
They were very helpful with helping me get a job and very nice. I really recommend them.
Unprofessional
They called me about a position but once I get to the interview the position was no longer available. Such a waste of my time off.

They text telling you to respond for details and when you do they never text back. False advertisement, this is not a temp agency because they don't have any jobs available. They need to be shut down.
EXPRESS EMPLOYMENT PROFESSIONALS should drop the last word from their name
In the spring of 2024, SARAH HERNANDEZ contacted me for a job and said she found my resume on a job website. She went through all the info and told me that she was going to send my resume into the company and I told her I was interested. Then she ghosted me. When I called back to find out where she was I was told that her kid was sick and no one knew about my resume or the company she had submitted my resume to. I never heard from her again. Why couldn't she give my info to another co-worker to pick up where she left off? That is extremely unprofessional even given those circumstances. I have had plenty of events in my life where I had to notify my job and I did so because I am a professional.
Then recently I got another email from her. I didn't remember who she was but I replied with a phone call. She didn't remember me. She had just sent me the email not moments before. THAT is unprofessional.
Then she made a huge deal about the work I do - half of what I do is I am a FULL-CHARGE BOOKKEEPER. Full-Charge means I do everything in bookkeeping however, Ms Hernandez had no idea what that meant and told me that the client needed someone who knew how to reconcile. I had to inform her what that actually meant because she said I would have to resubmit my resume to her with the word "reconcile" on it. THAT is unprofessional.
Today I wrote to her for the 2nd time inquiring if the company she gave my resume to called her. She told me that they had not. She told me that she understood that I was frustrated. Here's the thing - I work with other employment agencies where they told me that even though companies are looking to hire, they are hesitant because of the proposed tariffs that "Idiot" Trump is going to impose. That is the way they related that to me. That is the way I related the same to Ms Hernandez, who reprimanded me and told me that I was UNPROFESSIONAL? I promptly told her I no longer needed her assistance.
These are very trying times to be out of work, which I still am. I have every right to relate to the person who is recruiting how I feel and I used the same jargon that was used with me and I had no problems with it. Doesn't matter if you are for or against him as she said she has been and was the unprofessional one in this short business relationship. Her meteoric rise to manager in 4 years is the result of a revolving door in your business and not because she earned it - she was probably the only one left.
While I am still looking for work I wanted to write to you to let you know what had happened and that I will be leaving this same missive as a review of your company online. People have the right to speak freely about anything. Hernandez needs client relationship skills, which she lacks. I and the general public still have freedom of speech even though the GenZ think otherwise AND NJ is still a Democratic state that went solidly for Harris. While I am sure you'll stick up for Hernandez I find it appalling that you allow such an unprofessional person to deal with the public representing your company.
I would like to take this time to thank…
I would like to take this time to thank you. for a wonderful experience. and for your time and patience. and your great hospitality. Thank you Again Mazie AWESOME!!!
The Express pros of Cloverdale /Langley…
The Express pros of Cloverdale /Langley BC are just that, Pros. I met with the friendly staff at the front that guided me through the start process. Very straight forward and they are very helpful filling out forms. My interview with Parker felt more like meeting a new friend, a new friend who will help me understand my skills better to find work I like and at a decent wage.
I had a fantastic posting the next day with a great crew. Parkers always replied to any and all calls or emails as soon as possible. Never kept me waiting and thus made me feel important and proud to represent ExpressPros of Cloverdale Langley BC.
I have no idea why this company…
I have no idea why this company continues to harass me. I am getting text messages constantly. I have asked to be taken off any list that I somehow got on and yet it continues.
