Tidy work, good value and quick on the customer service

I needed a PC under £200 to run Fortnite and make use of my old 750 Ti. I emailed sales@ on a Saturday afternoon to ask for recommendations, and was impressed to hear back from Jo on Sunday morning with a couple of good suggestions from the 'Refurbished Gaming PCs' section.

I decided to roll the dice and ordered a refurbished PC at 6pm on Sunday evening, which arrived via DPD at 10am on Tuesday morning. The PC case was wrapped both ways in a lot of bubble wrap, packed in the middle of a large, plain box, full to the top with large foam packaging chips. The PC case, a good one from Fractal Design (do check that the written spec matches the image) is a tiny bit scuffed, totally expected for a refurb, but everything is clean. The inside of the PC had been extremely well tidied up and the cables had been well-organised. This made it easy to swap out the small N210 for a longer, dual-slot GPU needing power from a 6-pin cable. Even if you plan to start over with Windows from scratch, it was good to be able to boot up and get straight onto the Windows desktop, as a local account named "USER" was ready out of the box.

Everything was so quick that the first I knew about shipment was a text message from DPD at 6am on the day of the delivery. The shipment notification email from Expertec only arrived the next day!

I'd order from Expertec again.

I had an issue with an order. Used the online chat system. Agent was very polite and helpful, and arranged for a repair or replacement within 15 minutes.

STAY CLEAR....rubbish company this “jo” is pathetic, she said to me a refund will be issued 3 months ago! After they didn’t have the pc for my son I told it would be received in 14 days....today I ring “jo” after 3 months to see where my money she said it’s not my problem it’s “accounts” tell me which company takes 3 months to issue a refund....I have been paying extra credit card charges because of this pathetic excuse of a company

Went with a refurbished gaming pc…

Went with a refurbished gaming pc bundle for my son, was a little apprehensive at first but the customer service I received from Jo was brilliant and she helped me every step of the way. Was told to expect a 7-10 day turn around but received the computer within 4 days. Had a few minor issues caused by Windows updates but a technician called Jason phoned and when it looked like he would not have enough time to finish the fixes due to it being the end of the working day, Jason called me when he arrived home from his own personal phone and was able to remote in and sort our issues out in no time at all. Real dedication from Jo and Jason from beginning to end and my son is over the moon with his PC

Best for gaming PC - excellent service, responsive, friendly and best value I've found online despite much searching

I've just bought my second gaming PC from these guys - really excellent service before, during and after sale, cannot fault them. Best price always, and good quality components. This time I was expecting a 10 working day turnaround, but instead new custom-built PC for son's b/day is arriving 4 days from ordering.

Real Commitment here; A great team!

Over the Christmas period in the midst of the Covid mess, interaction and courier exchanges were difficult. But Expertec stood by their product and their service. Jo and Josh are really very committed to good service; good listeners patiently willing to support the customer. I would strongly recommend Expertec without hesitation.

Scam by scam before they don't send all the order after send wrong items in a worst quality sure totally scammed by this people and now are putting problems for refund my money... Worst company ever... The screen must be full HD and they give me one even without HDMI slot the components are poor quality but the power supply is other scam must be 600w and give me 500w...scammers no more words.

Honestly amazing

There was a slight delay in the dispatch of my order, however what with the current climate it's entirely understandable. I have reported them to Trading Standards. I purchased a custom built gaming PC from them in January. They were not able to meet the demand due to several issues on their side so I requested a refund in February. They have not responded to any of my phone calls or emails and I have still not received the refund. Wish I had read the other reviews before placing a purchase.

Appalling customer service. Never again.

Ordered a PC for my son. Did not arrive by the date I was told. Called numerous times and finally managed to speak to Jo who told me that due to Covid, staffing levels and power cuts they were behind. I said that was fine and was given another date.
The day before the date due, I tried to call again (as i was told I'd receive an email of it being sent out) no answer. I finally got through stating my lad is autistic and literally is counting down the days so I needed a specific date that he could work towards. I was told another week. On the Friday it hadn't arrived so I called to be promised it would be sent out free of charge for the Saturday. Nothing arrived. My boy was distraught and it was hard to console him.
I emailed this time asking for a refund and was told that the computer would be with us that week. I politely asked for a refund again. I was told the refund would take 14 business days to get to me.
After 20 business days I still had no refund.
I emailed stating I would go to trading standards. I then heard nothing: had no reply to subsequent emails and no one would answer the phone. I finally went through my credit card company and received the refund via them.

(Update: after receiving my refund from my credit card company, after being ignored on numerous occasions, I finally had an email from Jo asking me - politely - if I would change my review.
My autistic 12 year old son was anxious and crying everyday waiting for his computer and scared after reading the reviews. No one gave my son any thought, even though I stated he was autistic from the off and needed an explicit date of arrival to work towards. I will not change my review. Customers need to know how bad the customer service is. I am sorry if the company has been affected by Covid and staffing issues - truly - but, by being honest and upfront with customers, you will gain a better reputation.)

Very poor customer service. Do not order from them…

Ordered and paid for a gaming PC on 27th November 2019 for my daughters christmas present.
2 weeks later it had not arrived so cancelled order and asked for a refund.
Despite this they sent the goods to me just before christmas.The goods were returned to them and they again agreed to refund me.
Its now March and have still not received my refund.Several messages have been sent re this since
all of them have been ignored,no reply.
The telephone number provided is never answered no matter what time of day or how often you ring it.Have asked my bank to pursue the refund for me.

First class service form a first class company

I purchased a gaming machine back in July 2020 recently had a technical issue which happens with hardware, I contacted the support team they arranged for an RMA on Tuesday, delivered to Expertec on Wednesday delivered back to me all repaired on Friday.... fantastic customer service no hassle warranty which is rare nowadays. I would highly recommend Expertec for all your gaming PC needs!!

Great service

Great service. Was told it would take 10-12 days to build which it did. I received an email saying that it had been dispatched and it came the next day. I have been in contact with expertec and they are very quick replying to emails and solving issues (only a minor one from me). Great customer service.
