Evergen Solar Reviews 

The feeder to the PV system tripped due to overload which produced an undervoltage alarm on the inverter. I requested help from Evergensolar the installers of the system. After a series of questions and tablet photos they informed me that they were unable to respond remotely by digital link and suggested I contact the inverter manufacturer. Having studied the manual I was able to identify the undervoltage as having been caused by the tripping of the breaker feeding the PV system.I then managed to restart the system. At no time was I offered the service of an engineer/technician to identify and correct the fault. I also lost about a week of power generation.I would expect an installer to offer an after sales service.

Following a change of WiFi provider I needed help to link my system back to the Shine phone app.
Having had difficulties earlier in the week achieving this, Anilla was the golden girl today, talking me through the procedure, resulting in success.
I’m a happy bunny now.

I found Luke to be very helpful very understanding and talk me through everything that I had to do and was very patient because of my illnesses and we got it working

Started ok with a call to run through everything and to book appointment, then as agreed the area manager would call on Sunday day before the appointment all confirmed via text message. Made sure we were both home on the day and time of booking to have nobody turn up, and no call or message or follow up from anyone since. Very disappointed as it has wasted our time. Poor to say the least.

Great fitters. Very polite and processional. Covered everything I needed to know and showed me the app. Very happy with installation.

The company has been professional from the start the gentleman and son who did the installation was brilliant didn’t finish till got 8pm showed me everything and made sure I understood the app no mess to clear up what a great asset to the company I have no worries in recommending this company to my family and friends

I used Evergen back in 2022 to fit my panels and battery system. I had an issue with the app on Friday where it stopped working. I got through to Daniel who was very helpful and sent a new dongle free of charge in the post which arrived today. He rang me back to talk me through it all and it’s now back working again. Thank you for the great customer service!

On a side note, we had over £200 back from our energy provider in June for our excess electricity plus no energy bill at all. We definitely don’t regret our decision.

From the outset I asked for and they gave assurance that they wouldn’t use double salesman techniques .

The salesman started by giving a slick presentation via his laptop that went on far too long and was clearly a build up to the excessive quote at the end - I kept asking him repeatedly for the quote whilst pointing out inaccuracies in his massive sales pitch .

Finally , he quoted me an astronomical £17, 800 or £35,000 with a finance package for a 12 panel system with inverter / 5kw battery which you typically can get for £7000 elsewhere - he then come up with classic sales pitch of calling his boss for a special discount which took 50% off if I signed there and then.

Awful company

“We offer a free and no-obligation home survey to review your energy usage and spend to offer you a personalised report that demonstrates how much solar can save you”.
Wow, I wish I had read this statement on there website before they came, typical old style double glaze window seller. First time we had looked at solar but expected us within 20 minutes to provide our bank details to take the order. Used the pressure selling optic to call his boss while on our settee and handed me the phone and said ask your questions so we can do this, kept saying how much do you want to pay then so we can do this, not take your time to think and call me and we can then sign you up. Said he would send me a written quote but he stormed of and I got the impressions we would not receive one and we haven’t. The text that I received on Wednesday 22nd prior to the call has a promotional code which I was meant to hand to the sales guy but I forgot about this and neither did he ask for it. Shame as we will have to look elsewhere but won’t deal with this time of character who must be desperate to get a sale on the spot.

We’ve had our system with Evergen for over 2 years now. I originally left a review when it was installed as James - the surveyor plus Andy & Paul the fitters were all amazing! We’ve already recommended 4 friends to Evergen who are also over the moon with their systems. With our calculations, we’re on target to have our system paid off within 5 years, then the rest is 100% savings.

We had an issue today where our inverter stopped working and we couldn’t understand why. The app was showing us that nothing was generating at all. I rang Evergen and within 15 minutes Dan had diagnosed the issue, and got it fixed using their software at the office. Anyone wondering whether you should go Solar with Evergen - do it!

Evergen installed my panels three years ago. While I had no problems whatsoever with the installation - the scaffolder and engineers were excellent - I did experience problems with the customer service.
Yesterday, my system went off grid, so I telephoned this morning. The first gentleman was helpful and polite but sadly his suggestion did not fix the problem so I rang them back.
I then spoke to a man who asked me to send some photographs which I did, and then said he would ring me back. More than an hour later, having heard nothing, I rang again to be told that I needed to have an electrician visit. There would be a wait of up to two weeks. I was disappointed by this and said I would call back. having thought about it, I rang again and asked to arrange a visit. I was told that I would be sent an invoice and once payment was received that I would be sent an appointment. I said that this was appalling. I understand the need for payment to confirm an appointment but absolutely not before even having an appointment made. He told me, in a very condescending manner, that getting angry wouldn't help. I thought he was rude, and said so and he hung up! Absolutely dreadful.
I cannot, in good conscience, recommend Evergen to anybody and would suggest that you steer clear of them

We were expecting the installation to be over 2-3 days. The lads arrived early and continued working throughout the day and finished late at night. Job done in one day, excellent. They worked well and we hardly knew they were there.

I would not recommend Evergen Solar based on my experience. The customer service has been among the worst I have dealt with.

The sales process was extremely aggressive, and I feel that promises made during the sales pitch regarding timescales, the installation process, and overall service were misleading. Once the contract was signed and the deposit was paid, the level of communication dropped dramatically.

It has now been several months with little to no meaningful communication or progress. I have received no regular updates and have often been left wondering what is happening next. A simple courtesy call or email to keep customers informed would have made a significant difference, but that has not happened.

My experience has been one of broken promises, poor communication, and a lack of customer care. Based on my experience, I would advise anyone considering solar panels to look elsewhere.

After the initial marketing/sales visit on 30th April where we agreed for the panels and paid a deposit, we were assured that after 4 weeks the installation will happen. That kept delaying for more than a month and finally the date of 2nd July was given for installation. Very cunning of them as energy prices increased on 1st July and by delaying it the savings projection could not be achieved.
On the day of installation, the two men who came did not finish the job properly, put the incorrect part in the breaker and misled us to sign the customer satisfaction note that meant the funds got released to them without our work being completed to the right standard. They lied to us and defrauded us. They shouldn’t have made us sign the satisfaction note when they did not complete the job correctly. It’s been 5 days now and no response from the company. The panels are not functional. We emailed the finance company and their sales person and no one is replying to us. They have left us in the lurch. I would definitely not recommend them as we are regretting massively our decision.

Harry and Brad were fantastic. Really helpful and knowledgeable.

Timely start to the operation. Bernard Kian and Ashly were superb. They all completed the installation in record time. The whole thing was demonstrated to our satisfaction and i would recommend this team and Evergen without hesitation.
