I have owned a pair of MMX 300 for a bit more than 3 years. Bought them for €300. Sound quality is good but it seems to degrade rapidly. The headband started peeling after a couple of months and now it looks horribly bad. The black paint on the headphones has started to peel of the edges even though the headphones have never been used outside or dropped on the floor. Quite poor quality and longevity for the price.

My Beyerdynamic MMX 200 lasted 1 year

My Beyerdynamic MMX 200 lasted 1 year.

About 6 months after purchase, the plastic headband cover broke. This is probably due to the legendary tightness of these headphones that many people report as uncomfortable.

About 12 months into the purchase, one of the ear cushions has ripped from natural use, and the microphone boom cover has shriveled up and started to rip.

While the electronics are still fine (and the audio is still great quality), I can no longer use these headphones for video calls because they're starting to look worn to an awful degree.

I should have read and heeded these reviews before buying. The quality does not match the price, and their warranty process apparently doesn't replace any parts that make body contact, even though it's evident that poor materials were used in manufacturing.

Refuse to honour the guarantee

I purchased some very expensive Beyerdynamic headphones recently via PMT online and they fell apart shortly after purchase. I supplied full details and photos, and I was informed that neither PMT or the manufacturer guarantee against their items falling apart. Purchasing these has left me significantly out of pocket. I did not receive an adequate explanation for why they refuse to uphold the guarantee.

Stellar products

Stellar products, bought the DT 990 Edition from their store where I got free shipping and a 15% discount compared to other third party sellers.

Shipping was fast.

The headphones were encased in a zipper case surrounded by thick foam.

There is no lack of fingerprints on the plastic/fake leather case and on the shiny metal components but to a frequent used buyer this is nothing.

This is my second pair of Beyers and I'm more than satisfied.

Beyerdynamic DT 880 Pro

The very best headphones I ever had, at least to date.
Got a pair of DT 880 Pro for monitoring purposes.
They’re very clear and detailed and listening through them is never fatiguing. The sub-bass section is a tad weak but not annoyingly so. The upper part of the frequency response curve is not a prodigy of linearity and these cans might probably benefit from some EQ, but even so I appreciate them all the time as I liked them since the beginning and grew accustomed to their sound signature.
I also use them for more relaxed recreational purposes at home and I truly enjoy them even so.
Up to now they are my benchmark against which to confront any other headphone or IEM that I can put my ears through and this far they keep proving the best, of course according to my very personal tastes.

Best products, but arrogant company !

I am very sorry to have no choice but tu put a 3 star. Beyerdynamic is my favorite company. The products are the best in my opinion and the web site in beautiful and easy to use. Purchases are easy and the products are shipped well packed and in time. I have many Beyerdynamic headphones of different kinds (more than 10).
The problem with the company is that they are arrogant. I could not get good communication and help when I needed them. It is advertised that headphones are reparable and almost all parts are exchangeable. As long as you can get them ! Because you can't !
Beyerdynamic, you have great products, made in Germany and everything, but your biggest asset is your customers. If they are not happy with you, they go elsewhere !

Beyerdynamic DT990 longevity

I bought the DT990 headphones more than 6 years ago, and thought it about time that I reviewed them. I am pleased to say that they are still going strong (unlike my brothers SoundMAGIC HP200's purchased around the same time, they bit the dust after a year or so).
I am now thinking of gifting the DT990's to my son, and upgrading to the Tesla T1's.

i'm really tired honestly

i'm really tired honestly, if i knew i would have stick with Seinnheiser, the slider plastic from the headband of my Amiron wireless cooper broke and beyerdynamic won't send me parts under warranty cause my name and address are not on the invoice, i bought it from a 3rd party so they asked me to email beyerdynamic from spain where the headphones were purchased, nobody ever replied to my emails and now finally that i bought the repair kit here in Germany i'm waiting over a week and i haven't received anything so far, no email with tracking number, nothing at all, i owned few seinnheiser and bose headphones previously, never had problems even if my name wasn't on the invoice, never again, and after few emails i told them so could you tell me which kit i have to buy to fix the headphones they refused to tell me, they kept denying that they can't do nothing for me, lol, i mean i pay from my pocket i don't want anything for free, NO we cant help you contact beyerdynamic Spain, AND the first time i send them pictures of the warranty they didnt tell me that was a problem with the invoice, they said ok we will send you the parts as soon as possible, after 1 MONTH!!! they emailed me saying that they couldn't provide me the parts, what a joke.
