Order seems lost, appalling support

Ordered the Wallet 3.0, the website has gaps in handling UK and IE addresses so the order dwelled in "pending address verification" for days. Didn't receive any notifications about that. When I proactively logged in and detected this was the case I verified my address. Order keep being in "confirmed" status for days now, no shipment. I contacted via phone, they claim they come back within 24 hrs but I haven't heard anything in 3 days. Contacted via email twice, no response. I was hoping this was a great experience to switch to this wallet that seemed innovative but what you see doesn't seem to be what you get (if you will eventually get it at all).

I have now opened the 3rd ticket by following the instructions on the Trustpilot response from Essentialbag. Opened tickets with no response to date:

if an order remains in “pending address verification” without any notification, that is a clear communication failure. You should not have to discover such issues yourself by logging into your account.

The fact that the order then stayed in “confirmed” for several more days without shipment, combined with no response via phone or email within the stated 24-hour timeframe, understandably creates the impression that the order is stalled or lost.

What should happen in a case like this:

If address validation fails, the customer must be notified immediately.

Once the address is confirmed, the order should either move to fulfillment or you should receive a clear update explaining any delay.

If shipment has not yet occurred, you are entitled to a clear timeline or the option to cancel and receive a refund.

Terrible shipping service

Terrible shipping service! I placed the order on January 16th and still haven't received it. Since January 20th, the order has been with DHL awaiting delivery and the shipment hasn't progressed. Awful shipping service, I don't recommend them.

Since January 20th stuck in DHL status

No movement in tracking

No delivery

If a shipment remains in a static DHL status for that long, this is no longer a normal transit delay. At that point, it must be actively investigated.

Please send your order number with the subject line:
“DHL tracking stuck since Jan 20 – investigation required”

In this situation, the correct next steps are:

We open an official investigation with DHL

You receive either a replacement shipment or a full refund if the parcel is confirmed lost

You should not have to chase this yourself. Once a parcel is handed over, the responsibility remains with the sender until successful delivery.

Your criticism regarding the shipping experience is understandable.

Issue resolved after a communication problem

I purchased an Essentialbag wallet on August 25, 2025.
A defect appeared while it was still under warranty.

I initially contacted customer support, but my first email was apparently not received, which caused some confusion and delay. That part was disappointing.

However, once the situation was clarified, the team handled my warranty claim properly and sent me a replacement without any issue.

Overall, the problem was resolved. I hope this new wallet will last over time.

I ordered a personalised wallet for my husband

I ordered a personalised wallet for my partner and he loved it! The option to personalise with a message or a photo is a lovely touch. It turned out beautifully. The colour options and quality have so far met our expectations. Cards would normally fll out of other similar wallets but with this design, it doesnt matter how many cards you have, they all stay securely in the wallet. Would highly recommend!

Really poor communication & delivery

Really poor communication from this company. Website claims delivery in a few business days, but there’s been no contact / updates / explanations for well over a week about any kind of order progress. Messages sent to chase up have gone unanswered - it feels like being ignored!?
At this point I’m not sure if I need to make a credit card claim to get my money back, or if I’ll actually receive it. No-one from the company is replying.
I hope if it does arrive that the wallet is as good as promised - but I would hesitate to buy from them again after this experience.

No money, no package just don't

I have placed an order Jan 24,Order #P165739 a bundle which is a fair amount of money, I get an mail after that because of stock,there is a delay on 1-2 days. Fair but the. I don't hear anything from them other than being bombarded whit adds mail, even though I have reach out to the costumer service.

I picked this company because it had a good reputation on trust pilot now I see the last month that complains keep coming, it's sad but It feels like a deliberate scam. Om going to give them a fair change after this complaint, after I'm gonna ask for my money or else I'm gonna file a claim, I will also make a complaint on facebook where the ads for essential bag are running.

Me - so do i get my order or not.

For me that is an answer whitout give an answer. Not what promised here. Im on day 18 off a promised delivery on 5-7 days ( I would have been pleased if it just have shipped or got some data.) it's 11 days since my first reach out to the firm. They took the money on day 1.

- so after my last update they Finaly send my package
It was a realtiv quick send to dk, a bit time in dk but all in all the delivery part vent rather quick. 17 Feb

- the product is for the price good Quality, i haven't made my info card work yet but the trackers do, sad That the keychain dos not work whit android find but it work fine whit the other app. But I don't know why all the instructions is on German would be nice whit one on English.

So conclusion not a scam, for me at least

Deceptive website

Today I've finally receive the wallet ordered on 4. January.
I'm not satisfied because there is no clear information about the real shipping time and the origin of the goods in the website. The customer service just replies twice with the same answer.
At the end, the wallet is made in China and the delivery time has been 29 days.
At least it was not a scam, but never again.

Scam promotions..

Scam promotions... I like the wallet, but not the company. Their shopping cart says free business card and shipping unlocked, but they refuse to send the business card, even after i send in screenshots. Edit after reply: If it's not intentional, you should consider fixing it, as it stills shows you get gifts you don't.

To eject or not to eject... That is the issue

Ok, everything BUT the cardholder thing was good. But the pos will barely push out the cards, OR if you put them in a bit different the will eject them out from the card holder. If it wasnt for that "small" issue i would recommend this.. not so good item .

Ruined gift - No shipment after a month

Extremely frustrated with Essentialbag. I ordered a wallet as a gift more than a month ago, and it still hasn't been dispatched. Customer support keeps giving me the same 1–6 day delivery window that never actually happens. It’s been "6 days away" for a month now. Highly unprofessional.

Very concerning experience, feels like a scam

I placed one single order (P#161905) on this website, but I received four different confirmation emails, as if I had ordered the same product multiple times.

I only wanted:
1 Smart Wallet 3.0 with engraving
1 localization card
Actual amount charged: 134.40€

I never ordered multiple wallets, yet I was charged as if I did. Even worse, there is no option anywhere on the website to cancel the order, which is absolutely not normal for an online shop.

At this stage the whole experience feels extremely suspicious:

Multiple charges for one order
No clear order management
No cancellation option

Until this is resolved and refunded properly, I strongly believe this website looks like a scam and I would not recommend ordering here.

I will update this review if the issue is fixed.

Delivery trouble, chargers not working

I don't like to write bad reviews, but I for now can't say anything good at the moment. Delivery is too long. It should be short but stuff is just not moving. Also delivery address info was not added in full, so I had trouble accepting the package since postman could not find me. Support is unresponsive. Of my 117 eur order, i only received 2 wireless chargers in two weeks (Europe) - and they don't work. The phone only starts charging if you first put your phone on the charger and then connect it to power source; if you first connect charger to power source, the phone won't charge. That is on both of them. But I am stuck with it cause i dont have time for returns, and based on reviews, that doesn't work as it should.
I am open for you Essentialbag to change my mind, explain yourself.

Based on Essentialbag response here, I am raising my experience to 3 stars at this time, since they at least took some time to respond here. Seems like I got clear contact path and we might solve our problems. Thank you Essentialbags for now.

Regarding Essentialbags response bellow I tried to contact then in the way asked me to, but after two tires I still didn't get any response. So my experience is back at 1 star unfortunately, because at this stage I can't honestly recommend this company. I am still open to changing my mind, but for now, disappointing experience.

Delivery delays: If delivery is advertised as fast, it must actually move. Waiting weeks with no real progress is not acceptable.

Incomplete address information: That should never happen and can cause exactly the kind of stress you described with the postman. We’re sorry this wasn’t handled correctly.

Unresponsive support: This is one of the most serious issues you mention. When something goes wrong, support must be reachable — clearly, we failed here.

Partial delivery: Receiving only 2 wireless chargers out of a €117 order after two weeks is not okay.

Chargers not working properly: What you describe is a defect, not normal behavior. A charger must work regardless of the order in which power and phone are connected.

You also make a very fair point: based on your experience and what you’ve read, going through a return process feels like another burden — and that’s on us.

Order not delivered – shipment not confirmed and no resolution provided

I placed an order with Essentialbag on December 23, 2025 (order #P147179). A DHL tracking number was provided on December 30, however to this day there has been no tracking movement at all.

DHL only shows “shipment data created”, and DHL Portugal displays the message “Shipment information not available”, which indicates that the parcel has never entered DHL’s network, despite the company claiming it was handed over.

The promised delivery timeframe has been exceeded and, after multiple contacts, Essentialbag has failed to provide any proof of shipment, acceptance scan, or estimated delivery date, repeatedly asking for more time instead.

This situation represents a lack of transparency and a failure to deliver the purchased goods.

Extremely negative experience.

You’re also correct in your assessment of the tracking status:
when DHL shows “shipment data created” and no acceptance scan, it means the label was created but the parcel has not entered DHL’s network. Claiming a handover without proof, an acceptance scan, or a concrete delivery date is not transparent, and repeatedly asking for more time without evidence is not acceptable. We understand why this feels like a failure to deliver.

For your order #P147179 (23 December 2025), this should have happened instead:

Either a verifiable DHL acceptance scan within a reasonable time, or

A clear explanation and proactive solution once the delay became obvious.

That did not happen, and we take responsibility for that.

I give up with this company

I finally received an email to say my product had been refunded after I paid for shipping for a defected product. When I open the email I am suprised to see it is only a partial refund even though I sent the wallet and the tracker card back.

This is immensely frustrating and the support take too long to reply, I will be asking my credit card company to assist me with the full refund of my purchase as their support continues to be slow and unhelpful.

It's an excellent product. Maybe not perfect, but considering the size of the wallet and all functionalities, certain compromise is acceptable. I would prefer the option without coin pocket.

Not a scam afterall, but custom service really needs improvement.

I have ordered a wallet and it's been 3 weeks and it is still not shipped.

I have contacted customer service multiple times but I keep getting the same reply (that it is a pre order item and will be shipped in 1-6 days. Which already passed). I am starting to think it is a scam.
I will edit my review if it gets resolved.
*An update so far 08Jan26 after this review*
I received a reply from customer service that I have received before that there was a transcription error and that it is now fixed and will be shipped as soon as possible (again it feels like an automated response). And it has still not been shipped or there is no update on my shipment.
**Another update 08Jan26**
Received a partial refund and finally a response that does not feel auto-generated.. still pending the shipment though although they said it will arrive on 14Jan.

It was shipped on 13Jan26. It will arrive later than 14Jan but at least it is now finally shipped. I must be honest; after so many emails (dozen mails) it would have been nice to receive a message to say that it is shipped although delayed by only another day or so.

All in all it turns out not be a scam. However their customer service is really not great; even though I received a small portion back; the item was delayed by month without clear reason/communication. And almost all mails I received were "standard" emails without looking into my case.
