This outfit is a scam in itself

This outfit is a scam in itself. Bullies rule the forum, two in particular who do not allow dissent. If you dare criticize them you will be banned. One doesn't even display his phone number on the site and doesn't say where his alleged qualifications are from. Avoid him like the plague. He is a freelance writer and easily identified from the site. You will note that he has been exposed by some intelligent posters one of who has been banned. And they say free speech is dead!

As a follow up, someone commented on one of their notorious writers who pays handsomely to advertise his service on their site. He says he writes on British law Scotish law and Welsh law. It was correctly pointed out that there is no such law as British law; that correct spelling is Scottish law and that he should be referring to English and Welsh law. This comment was put on the website as it corrected record. After a few hours, the post was removed leaving the inaccurate post unchallenged. I wonder if pressure was applied by the writer on the moderators as there is no other explanation for the removal of the post. Would anyone seriously conclude that Essay Scam is unbiased or that New York based FreelanceWriter is a competent legitimate writer of UK law essays.

I just wanted to post my appreciations…

I just wanted to post my appreciations to the Essayscam staff and contributors for doing this underappreciated job of warning students like me from unscrupulous, ESL writing services and bad writers. I used this site to find a legitimate service (I've just left a review on them too). My friend who's just graduated from college warned me about using fly-by-night services and people who claim to be "essay writers". He was scammed when he paid a person who claimed to be a Cambridge-graduated Ph.D. and in fact, he turned out to be a writer from Ukraine. He used a fake name and a Paypal account associated with some shady Internet marketing agency. I tell all students to be careful and only use reputable websites that have been helping students for at least a decade. There are a couple of good ones from the US and UK.

I watch the Essayscam forum on a regular basis (plan to until I graduate next year), so if you have questions about your chosen research service or suggestions, post your message there and I may be able to help you out.

Cool resource!

I found out about Essayscam on Twitter when I tried to find more information about plagiarism and grammar checking tools. They have an excellent article on the positives and negatives of such tools (the links are on the bottom of the page). I've never would have thought that using free software could be so risky because your content is saved in databases and you give up your copyright to it in many cases. Anyway, I recommend that students never use plagiarism checking tools unless it's really required.

The site has a nice section devoted to academic research tutorials which is useful to college and university students. Some writers post their own research papers as an example for other students to learn from. Of course, students who have no other choice but to use an "essay writing service" will find tons of reviews and information on that. Whether they should use such freelance writers or dissertation services or not, that's another story :)

EssayScam helped me find legitimate…

EssayScam helped me find legitimate research paper services. I actually found a very good freelancer there who helped me with a couple of accounting assignments. I've also become a member of the forum to share my experience and reviews with other students. They have a full list of possible untrustworthy Twitter accounts that are associated with "essay writing." I like the fact my questions are answered either by a professional writer or a student who had experience with a service I inquired about.

EssayScam success (students - take advantage of the free research published there!)

A few important things (for a student like me) I found out by researching EssayScam:

- The majority of so called "essay writing services" are run by suspicious people, sometimes criminals, based in third-word countries like Ukraine, Kenya, or Pakistan. The "writing business" is typically only one of the niches they are active in. Some of these services or writers don't even care to provide the service as long as they have the personal data of the student / payer (then they can blackmail him or her).

- Almost all of the positive reviews / testimonials (either in a written form or in a video format) are totally fake. Sometimes it feels that half of the freelance writers hired by those third-word services are in business of writing and publishing fake reviews of their own websites.

- The people associated with the foreign "research" services hack other websites and it's actually pretty dangerous to even visit their websites; since they are located in countries which are not under the Western systems of laws, anything goes and the customer (students) would often pay a high price for using these services.

- High quality costs money. The best essay writing services who work with native-English speakers have to pay them enough. In result, a company that charges less than, let's say, $30 per page is almost certain to use ESL writers who often cannot come up with a coherent, error-free sentence (not to mention a research paper or a dissertation).

- The inadequate services and ESL writers spam the social media websites like crazy. But it only proves they have no business in writing English papers or doing homework for a student located in the UK, US, Canada, or Australia. If you think logically, what a Ukrainian or Kenyan "research writer" will ever have to do with New York or London? Nothing.

- The actual physical location of a research service is crucial (that's why most of these services lie on their pages about their country of origin).

- From what I've experienced, there are only a few genuine US-based and a few genuine UK-based companies. Only a few out of a couple of thousands websites! (go figure). The third-word services have created thousands of fake brands to spam google, facebook, and twitter with their fraudulent claims.

I guess that's all and should be enough for a prospective customer to realize that it takes time to figure out who is legitimate and who is not. EssayScam.org is the ONLY legitimate resource that allows that. There are some copy-cats (for example on Reddit) that try to mimic EssayScam success, but these are all fakes and a waste of time (in my opinion).

Helped me avoid the bad dissertation writing services

I'm a student who got stuck with too little time and too much headaches in my personal and student life. I had no choice but to use an example research service during my 2-month breakdown at school. It was interesting and scary to find out there were so many dishonest writing services out there, most of them claim to be located in countries where English is spoken, but in fact they are not.

I even had a chance to exchange email with one of the best research writers on EssayScam.org writing forum who sometimes posts on the forum. She gave me writing tips and advice for free, even though I only asked her if she was familiar with two services that looked legitimate (Custom Papers and Graduate Writer). Overall, I like the design of the site, it is simple and easy to navigate. I hope the best posters continue contributing to the site to help other students avoid unreliable essay writing services.

Btw. don't get discouraged by harsh language of some posters; at first some of them seem unfriendly, but when you investigate their claims on your own you will notice they tell the truth. Only the marketers and spammers use nice language, but they are dishonest; the truth is harsh in this business, apparently.
