A huge decision, back & forth, to step into a Reverse Mortgage with Equitable Bank made all the easier with Mitch & Charlene who guided me along the way. Calls were always returned in quick time & I never felt rushed wading through the endless paperwork required.
I have no hesitation in saying this has been the right decision to work with Charlene at Equitable Bank.

honestly, i was a bit nervous about looking into a reverse mortgage, but equitable bank made the whole thing way easier than i expected. i’d been hearing horror stories about these kinds of loans, but they took the time to actually explain how it works and didn't make me feel pressured at all.

the process took a little bit of time to get everything sorted with the paperwork, which was expected, but the communication was solid throughout. i’m feeling much better about having some extra breathing room with my monthly budget now.

it’s not a perfect solution for everyone, but if you’re trying to stay in your home and need some help with cash flow, they are definitely worth a look. three stars feels right because it’s a big financial commitment and there’s always room for improvement in how fast things move, but overall i’m happy with how they handled everything. would recommend checking them out if you're in the same boat.

My first inquiry to EQbank was very positive, which made me very confident that I had made a good decision. The representative Steve was very helpful and responded to enquiries quickly. The process was handled quickly, and lots of information was provided. I encourage everyone to take the time and review the documentation very carefully.

When going through a crisis, there's no humanity. Only threats.

I have tried them and the no to low cost for consumers is better than many top banks. Also interest rates are decent.

I dealt with Stephanie Caero at EQ bank and I recommend her highly. My reverse mortgage went through so fast, and Stephanie was there every step of the way, 'holding' my hand if necessary. The only thing that I wasn't too happy about was that EQ bank insisted that I hire a separate (2nd) lawyer however it might be required legally. The process isn't inexpensive.
