I received the product really quickly! It looks amazing and I am so happy with the finished look.

I got the microcement for furniture and applied it to my laminate kitchen countertops. I am NOT experienced in this area (DIY or using cement at all) but considering that, it was pretty easy! The pigment in the bottle looked blue (I ordered light gray) but after mixing, it turned out to be the exact color I ordered. I was very worried at first.
If I could offer some bits of advice: order more than you think you need. Our countertops were right around 37sq ft and that’s the amount we ordered (but enough for two coats) and we had *just enough*. That left very little room for mistakes, especially with it being our first time doing anything like this.
My other suggestion would be to use sandpaper that is similarly colored to your pigment choice. Most sandpaper for power tools is red and that’s what I used, not realizing it would leave pink stains on the very lightly colored microcement. Using a brush did clear some of it away, but some stuck to several spots, even ones that weren’t cavities. I took a slightly damp towel to some spots but worried about interfering with the drying of the microcement before applying the polyurethane. So ultimately I ended up using a black, fine (maybe around 180 grit) sanding sponge very gently and that helped some but I didn’t want to end up either black marks either so I just went ahead and applied the polyurethane and I don’t think anyone will even notice. It just makes it look more like concrete.
Last bit of advice is to use a plastic putty knife for rounded edges. Our countertops have rounded edges instead of square and it was difficult to apply the cement there using metal tools. The plastic had a little more flexibility and didn’t scrape off what I was applying.
If you are applying near anything that has had silicone applied, sand it away first because the primer will NOT stick to it. I struggled a bit around my kitchen sink where the silicone sealant is and also in spots where the silicone had been wiped away (during the time of application, so prior to me living in this house).

Overall, great project and although the polyurethane is still currently drying, I’m happy with the progress so far and can’t wait to start using my new countertops!

The product hardened within just a few minutes after mixing, making it impossible to apply. I followed all instructions carefully to ensure proper use, but despite my efforts, the product became unusable almost immediately.

Overall unhappy with the product. Firstly, the tape they give you and not great. The directions provided are poor. I sanded the areas before I put the epoxy tape around. Seemed like it had good adhesion but ultimately failed resulting in a loss of 2.4 gallons and a ton of clean up.

Finally, there was some general spillage and overage on the wood top. I cleaned up with mineral spirits but it left a very dark stain (used jet black)

Called for guidance and was told to use acetone. Terrible advice. It bleached the wood and after sanding for hours I ended up losing about 3/8-1/2” of thickness

Your tape is terrible. My entire project leaked from under your tape and wasted $200 of epoxy because the tape I purchased from you did not tape together. Yes I layered my passes as seen in the attached picture. The epoxy escaped under the tape. The epoxy seemed to work great with what little was left after most of it poured out from under the tape and sealant used in my form.

always reliable. been using epodes exclusively for a while and never had a bad pour or bad quality end results. Spendy but solid and reliable.
