We had a problem after having a new hub…

We had a problem after having a new hub installed at home and the WiFi wouldn’t connect to the charger I called the customer support team and was told someone would call me back within 5 working days to talk me through what to do I chased on day five and got to speak to a technical person who needed some info I got the info from our WiFi provider and called them back only to be told an agent would ring me back, 3 days later and still waiting on a call back 😡absolutely terrible service

Rubbish products, avoid

EO electric vehicle charger worked for about a year and then on/off shorted for years. Had to be replaced within 3 years. Not what you expect from spending such a large amount of money. Rubbish products.

Do not choose EO

As per the majority of 1 star reviews, this company are a joke. My charger has never worked reliably since day one, and their customer service was useless. I managed to get an engineer out, he witnessed the fault and then he was argued down by the tech at head office until he was forced to tell me it was working now. Although they'd done nothing to fix it. Sure enough: now completely broken and I'm out of warranty. Never written a review before but this lot deserve it. Apparently the founder is in the 30 at 30 list. I hope he's proud of himself.

Faulty from the outset

Faulty from the outset, fuse would trigger 1 in 3 chargers so I would wake up to find the car not charged. Customer Support so bad now warranty has expired and it now triggers every time I try and charge it rendering it useless plus I now have to pay a 3rd party for technical support. AVOID!!!

My EO Minoe Pro 2 stopped working…

My EO Mini Pro 2 stopped working recently and won't recognise if there's an EV plugged in. I suspect it's a software/network issue.
Their customer support was quite good when it was installed a couple of years ago but now it's safe to say it sucks!
Rang and got an agent who was clearly reading from a script and got fobbed off by them saying that they would escalate it to the tech team who would ring me back.......surprise surprise, they never did.

If I could leave 0 stars, I would. Our EO mini pro 2 has been unreliable and temperamental since day 1. The first charger was replaced as it had never worked properly since being installed. The replacement one was marginally better. This company have a completely non existent customer service and we’ve waisted many hours trying to get through to someone. Don’t ring, they take your details are very apologetic and no one ever gets back to you. Well, we’ve jumped ship and had an Ohme charger fitted and our local installer said we’d have no issues like with EO. Only fitted today and charged car on the 1st attempt and their app is so much easier to use.

If you’re checking reviews prior to choosing a charger, please don’t choose EO, read the reviews, we are all saying the same thing.

I wouldn't use this company ever again

I wouldn't use this company ever again. From chargers breaking, to replacements taking months and months and every time you ring support they have to raise a ticket and you never know when you will be contacted or helped. Once I finally got a replacement charger they sent out an engineer who had never fitted a car charger before. The company is a failure and I have heard even worse stories regarding their commercial installs. Please stay away there are many better alternative car charging options out there I wish I had used.

Terrible customer service - Like the worst!

Quite frankly this is one of the worst customer service / support experiences I have had in a long time.

I previously had an EO Mini Pro 2 charger at my old property. This was installed over 2 years ago, had a couple of issues, which were resolved by EO extremely quickly, with 2 visits!

So, I decided to go with them again for my new property. Install was done a few months ago, but I didn't move in straight away and foolishly didn't check the charger.

I followed all the guidance, no luck. I raised a ticket with EO over 4 weeks ago. No acknowledgement. I emailed again a few days later. Nothing. I called a few days later, got told they reply within 5 working days, I pointed out it already was 5 working days. I waited another 5 days, nothing, so I called again. I then had a reply the next day, telling me my Wifi wasn't working.....interesting given that I can control the charger, tell it to charge the car, it goes to charge but will not deliver power!

Anyway, I pointed out all of this on an email the next day, we are now another 10 days without response. I chased yesterday, yet again, no response, so I am still sitting waiting.

I'm inclined to box it up, send them the bill for the charger, the electrician to remove it, and all of my costs from charging at a public charging station.

I wish I had read the Trustpilot reviews before buying again!

Disappointing doesn't even cut it. I never bother writing reviews, this is the first time I've gone out of my way to do one I feel so strongly about it! I shall be posting this as many places as possible.

The long and the short of it - Buy a different brand.

Finally got the right person

I had issue with EO charger for a good while, and the support response was very poor. I was very disappointed
But recently I had reply from Alex, he was very good. Jumped in to my issue and the charger working now. Alex contacted me few times and enquired about my issues.

Absolute disgrace of a company

Reference my previous review, this company are an absolute disgrace. My complaint has now been active since 12/09/24. I have now made 22 phone calls to tech support which are just ignored.

Richard Staveley(CEO) you need to be thoroughly ashamed of yourself. I may need to get a new EV charger installed all because your company will not deal with a simple QR code issue.

People please be aware, if you need tech support from this farce of a company forget it, they don’t care and will just ignore you.

Complete radio silence regarding 2nd faulty charger

I very rarely write bad reviews but I can't express how frustrated I am with the service I have received from EO Charging. I initially had my Mini Pro 2 Charger installed in October 2021. Within 6 months, this charger developed a fault that required it to be replaced - it was within warranty so thankfully this was done for free, but of course I had to pay for commercial charging in the meantime.

Now, my replacement unit is also faulty. I logged a claim, after which an engineer was sent out to check the unit. The unit is still under warranty for replacement but NOT for the cost of electrical work, so this visit was due to be charged to me at a cost of £130. The visit took about 5 minutes and the engineer recommended to EO that the unit was replaced as no obvious faults could be seen.

Since that visit (2 September) it has been absolute radio-silence from EO. I have emailed 4 times increasingly frustrated about the situation, but have received no response at all. I have called the technical helpline twice and the people on the phone insist the ONLY thing they can do is 'add a note to my case'. There is no one senior this can be escalated to, no way to raise a complaint, no way to guarantee any contact.

So for almost 6 weeks I have had an intermittently working charger, no view of when I might get a replacement (if ever) and all contact is being ignored. Unfortunately I could never recommend EO for your home charging after this experience.

EO Mini Pro 3 charger

After recently having an EO mini pro 3 EV charger fitted I had difficulties with charging the car and spoke to Richard from technical support.

Richard provided easy to understand instructions and between us after spending considerable time and energy Richard was able to sort out the problem and fixed the EV charger remotely.

Thank you Richard great customer service.

The chat is helpful to a point

The chat is helpful to a point, but after promising things will get done, I have to keep chasing to get the job moved along. Several times I have opened a chat and spoke to assistants who are friendly but don't follow up on the promises they make.
We had a EO Mini Pro 3 installed in April this year and after 6 months EO finally admitted the unit was faulty and sent a replacement. We have had it for 2 weeks now and were promised an install date, but I had to chase again today to find out nothing was booked. Hopefully after speaking to Olivia Allan we will finally be able to charge our brand new electric vehicle that we have had for 6 months without the ability to charge at home.

Unbelievably bad service

Unbelievably bad service. I have lost count of the number of calls I have made to the EO Helpdesk, but more than 4 is a definite. The lastest reference was 00066937. Their promise to have someone "make contact within five working days" is nothing short of a joke when one needs immediate help to charge the EV, and they don't make contact anyway. Whilst on the subject of jokes, the 'EO Helpdesk' curiously seems to double as the agent for Garden Magazine, as one can hear them selling that product whilst one waits to be (not)helped with ones useless EO Charger. If I could rate it as a zero I would, but I would urge people not to buy this awful product.

PS. Please do not suggest I contact you on +44 (0) 333 77 20 383, selecting option 2, then option 2., as that will get us both nowhere and we all know that is an unconnected service desk which is also selling subscriptions to Garden Magazine and/or other magazines, and not a real helpdesk for EO.

No response so far

Called over a week ago to report a fault in my charger. They raised a ticket and advised someone will be in touch within 5 working day. Called again as no one came in touch. They advised the ticket has been assigned to someone and he should call me soon. Three days later called for the third time Kiran said he will file a complaint and someone will be in touch. Called for the fourth time as no one from management or complain team called and asked to speak to someone from management Hassan advised that they are as far as I can go. Such a rubbish service, if you are thinking of buying a charger go a different company.

Absolute garbage customer service!

Absolute garbage customer service!! One of, if not, the worst company I've had to deal with regarding customer service. I raised a ticket/case on the 12/06/2024 trying to get a new set of QR stickers for our workplace chargers. Numerous calls to customer services chasing, which by the way are pretty useless as they can never provide you with a definitive answer and always give you the, "we are sorry but I have left a note on your case file and someone will call you back", they never call you back. Finally, on the 16/09/2024 (over 3 months!!!), the maintenance team finally email me the QR codes, only for them to not work. Cherry on top! I since replied back to the Maintenance team and surprise surprise, I've not heard back from them since. Over 3 months of chasing and waiting, all for some QR stickers. If I could rip those chargers out and replace them with another brand, I would do it in a heartbeat. I would advise anyone looking, stay clear of this company!

I don't like to write poor reviews but…

I don't like to write poor reviews but unfortunately this is one of them.
March 2019 I had a Mini Pro2 installed and to be fair didn't have any problems with it, except problems with the not very intuitive app. I stopped using it for about 10 months as I didn't have an EV in that time. I've now bought another EV but I've changed my WiFi router in the meantime. I thought I'll just reconnect to the Mini Pro via the app. easy I thought, nope not a chance. The sticker with the QR code has faded and can't be read, so I contacted EO support for help. No response for a few days until I get an email to say " we've closed your support ticket as it's more than 5 days old. If you still require support please contact us again". I did and eventually got a call from them because they couldn't find any record of the unit. Anyway, we got that part sorted out on the phone and I was sent a QR code because that will get me connected. Nope it didn't, I replied to that email with a screenshot of the error and haven't heard anything since. I then got in touch with the installer and it seems they get the same response as I've had. I can use the charger but I can't connect to it to make changes. Sorry EO you need to do better.

No response to Support ticket

No response to Support ticket. Up to 3 months & 6 follow ups...

Purchased a EO Mini Pro 2. Got installed by an EO authorized installer.

Works fine as dumb charger, but when he tried to commission the smart bit of the charger, it gave an "Unauthorized" error.

My support ticket is now 3 months old, and I have followed up 6 times...

Something very wrong at this company.

[edit1] Will try the phone number again, had no luck last time. Should note, insisting on phone support is not ideal for your international customers, due to time zones and call costs.

[edit2] - Got in touch with support, via live chat. Turned out they physically moved support locations and now have a massive backlog. Managed to get my EVSE moved to my account, and set it up, but sadly still can't get it to connect to use the smarts.
