ENGWE M20 2.0 solid range and great design.

I love the ENGWE M20 2.0’s retro style and smooth ride, with its 750W motor and dual batteries giving me 40–50 miles of fun commuting. The full suspension and fat tires handle bumps great, but the 99-lb weight and non-adjustable seat can be a hassle. It’s a solid e-bike for the price, just wish the throttle hit 28 mph like the original!

Bought a new M20 2.0

Bought a new M20 2.0 and the speed was cutting off at 21mph. I contacted Engwe about this and after sending them some pics, they concluded I had the wrong controller in the bike and sent a new controller and now it runs @ 30mph, which I feel that is still not the top speed of this bike, but it is what it is. Only wish Engwe had more distributors where you could take it your bike and have service done on it as even changing out a controller could be overwhelming for some people.

Had some technical problems with the bike I bought. Communication with the service department was always at a high level. After providing evidence of the malfunctions, I was always supplied with the necessary spare parts. Customer care is at a high level here. Thank you.

I bought my ep-2 April of 2024. 975 miles later no issues. Would highly recommend this bike to everyone. This is my first electric bike but it won't be my last!

Motor went out after 1 year

I am a 68 year old woman. I purchased the Engwe E26 Feb. 2024. The bike stopped working shortly after the 1 year date. Customer service says I need a new motor for $150. The bike was lightly used, just riding around the neighborhood. Save your money and buy something that will last.

1. Motor Function & Lifespan:
The motor in your e-bike is a complex component that works by converting electrical energy into mechanical power. Over time, wear can occur due to environmental conditions, load, and usage patterns. Even with light use, factors like exposure to moisture, terrain, or storage conditions can affect the motor’s performance. That said, we design our motors to last well beyond the first year in most cases.

2. Warranty Policy:
Our bikes come with a one-year warranty that covers key components, including the motor. Since the issue occurred shortly after your warranty expired, we understand it feels unfair. While we cannot offer free full coverage beyond the warranty period, we’re always willing to help our customers with discounted parts or technical support — which is why we offered the replacement motor at a reduced cost.

That said, we appreciate your feedback and will pass it on to our product team. We’re also happy to look into your case once more — please contact our support team again, and we’ll do our best to find a more satisfactory resolution.

Customer sevices nonexistent

Ordered a spare battery and they sent it twicw by royal mail, even though they won't deliver batteries. 3 months later still no refund. Avoid at all costs, I bought the bike cheaper from another site and am finally getting a replacement battery from an amazon seller.

Indeed, we did ship your battery order twice, but unfortunately, both shipments were confiscated during transit checks. After repeated follow-ups with the carrier, we were informed—though without specific details—that the issue likely stemmed from local restrictions related to shipping batteries, which are classified as hazardous materials. This situation left us equally confused and frustrated, as we had adhered to all standard shipping protocols.

Despite incurring the cost of two batteries, international shipping fees, and even fines due to the confiscations, we understood your concern and accepted your chargeback request in good faith. Our bank has confirmed that the refund was successfully processed from our side, and the funds have left our account. However, the time it takes for the amount to reflect in your bank depends on the card issuer you used for the original payment. We strongly recommend checking with your bank directly for a status update. The relevant information has been sent to you by email from our UK team, please check.

While we understand your disappointment, we also feel saddened by the harsh review, especially since we’ve taken every possible step to resolve the issue responsibly and fairly. Your feedback has been noted, and we’re continuing to review our shipping policies to avoid such unfortunate cases in the future.

I’ve only scored on trust pilot to write ,regarding the engwe 26 , has anybody got any comments on this bike , I have a social media site on e bikes that has 43 thousand members and was thinking of getting this model to review But have heard good and bad reviews ,if anybody could share some light on this model would be grateful I’ve been monitoring the sales of this bike and unfortunately due to it seems some problems have decided not to review this model

Purchased an EP-2 pro. Arrived in good time and easy to assemble. Have found their support to be really good on the 2 times I have contacted them. The bike is class. Love it. Soon time to buy one more as my son is using it more and more 😊.

Best Bikes at this price point.

Best Bikes at this price point.
My first Engwe bike was an Engine Pro 1. Now I own a x24 and both bikes have been Awesome. I never had any issues with my Engine Pro in 1300 plus miles.
I moved up to the X24 because I wanted a little bit larger bike without going to a 26” wheel. Also the standard 29.2 ah batteries included at this price point make this a Great choice. I was looking at the Wired Freedom and the E cells 5 star ( both more than double the price) but just wasn’t ready to spend that much money. I made my X24 comparable to those by installing BMX bars I purchased from Engwe for my Engine pro. That was a game changer for me because I needed to sit more upright due to back surgeries. The only thing I would change are the rear shocks. There very stiff even on the softest setting and I’m 230lbs. I’m looking around now for better ones. But again at this price this bike is a very good option and I don’t mind modifying it some to fit my needs. Thanks Engwe.
