I’m in the UK and Selva Marine parts are not easy to come by, especially for a 22year old motor. Twice now my new friends in Italy have provided me with parts I couldn’t obtain anywhere else, they were delivered here to me in a timely manner and at a very reasonable price.
I think now, whenever I need spare parts I will just head straight to Engine Marine Parts 👍

Problems with order
On 30/05/2024 I have ordered item on enginemarinepart online store and paid EUR 489.90 for it.
I have not received the order until now. I already contacted seller (EMP) and informed about delivery delay, after that I have asked EMP several times to register an official investigation (complaint) on the website of the carrier BRT since EMP was saying that the parcel was delivered to a courier and then lost.
EMP refused to register a formal complaint making it impossible for me to get any kind of compensation (minimum SDR8,33 + EUR 22,33 shipping costs).
EMP also did not provided me with tracking number for the shipment and claimed that according to the Terms and Conditions their responsibility for the product ended when the product was handed over to the carrier. Though this contradicts EU directive - as per EU directive seller is responsible for the product until the product is delivered to the buyer when buyer is private person).
If you encounter similar situation as I have you can try following:
- approach your local country customer protection unit. You can also try Italian ecc-netitalia and casadelconsumatore. Some more conditions on EMP web are also in conflict with EU legislation;
- approach EMP bank (BPP) at ufficio.reclami. You can find also personal email addresses in Internet;
- approach tax agency at dp.barlettaandriatrani agenziaentrate;
- approach police (not sure what is the proper unit yet since still doing some investigations re EMP & BRT).
I believe that multiply requests to different authorities may draw their attention to EMP activities and improve EMP commercial practice.

Gentile cliente, ci dispiace di quanto accaduto, ma colgo l'occasione per spiegare meglio le dinamiche del trasporto.
Il trasporto se non è ASSICURATO viaggia a rischio e pericolo dell'ordinante, una volta che affidiamo al corriere il pacco integro, noi siamo fuori responsabilità perchè uscito dal nostro magazzino conforme, vi abbiamo reso tutte le informazioni necessarie compreso il borderò di assegnazione del pacco al corriere, inoltre abbiamo sollecitato lo spedizioniere in questo caso DPD e voi siete stati messi in copia, quindi non so che dirvi, mi auguro che essendo una spedizione estera la prossima volta assicuriate il pacco per ogni evenienza.
Siamo contenti che avete messo in atto tutta una serie di ricerche atte a trovare il problema, siamo così sicuri del nostro operato e siamo d'accordo che il corriere dovrebbe pagare l'intero importo in quanto il pacco è stato smarrito da DPD.
Un'annotazione, voi non siete un privato.

To respond me to send 6.74 euros 4 days i am waiting to start shipped the parts and the shipping to much expensive i always buy from italy and used fedex very cheap and good service has. the service not good. Last time i order x4 fuel filter and one of them arived without washers too.

Good morning sir. Spiteri, in the first order we sent you a filter washer was missing but we sent you in the 2nd order, I wonder why you continue to buy from us if shipping is very expensive? You are in Malta which is an island served by few couriers and we certainly do not force you to buy from us, furthermore if you are referring to the WA replies we would like to point out that after the third reply we move on to the next customer, as the messages that arrive on WA are around 400 per day, we respond in chronological order and above all we avoid answering everyone if the questions we are asked are senseless and useless, we remind you that for this service you do not pay anything and the low mark-up on spare parts does not allow us to waste time...

Spiteri, nel primo ordine che vi abbiamo inviato mancava una rondella del filtro ma che vi abbiamo inviato nel 2 ordine, mi chiedo come mai continuate ad acquistare da noi se le spedizioni sono molto costose ? Voi siete a Malta che è un' isola servita da pochi corrieri e noi di certo non vi costringiamo a comprare da noi, inoltre se vi riferite alle risposte WA facciamo presente che dopo la terza risposta passiamo al cliente successivo, poichè i messaggi che arrivano su WA sono circa 400 al giorno, rispondiamo in ordine cronologico e sopratutto evitiamo di rispondere a tutti se le domande che ci vengono fatte sono insensate e inutili, vi ricordiamo che per questo servizio voi non pagate nulla e il poco ricarico sui ricambi non ci permette di perdere tempo...
