Our counselor Shahrukh is very knowledgable, supportive, patient and responsive.

We had a really great experience working with Empowerly. Especially our Counsellor Shahrukh has been extremely valuable resource for us. My son has been very comfortable working with Shahrukh. Shahrukh has been very professional and disciplined. There hasn’t been one occasion even where Shahrukh hasn’t supported us through these last two years. The Empowerly teams (Adcom, Resource query, and Essay review) has been great as well.

My son has done his November application submissions and now working on UC and Ivy League applications. I hope our experience continues to be great.

Shahrukh from Empowerly has been an invaluable resource for us over the past year. At first he was able to help us understand the college application landscape and develop a roadmap for our daughter's academics and and extracurriculars. He has taken a very realistic and personable approach that allows us to not get overwhelmed. As he has learned of our daughter's strengths he has encouraged looking at options that allows her to anchor on those strengths. He is always available over email to respond to our questions and open to having sessions as we see the need. Thus far we are satisfied with the guidance provided.

Katharine Chu at Empowerly has been an excellent college counselor for me over the past 3 years. She has provided me with a lot of help with reviewing college essays, planning activities, and simply guiding me through the college application process in general. Outside of Katharine's help, Empowerly's services like Essay Editing, Resource Questions, and even formal revisions by former admissions officers have been super useful. Overall, I would give my experience at Empowerly 5 stars and sincerely recommend Ms. Chu and Empowerly in general for any high schooler.

We've had a really great experience with Empowerly overall. My son's coach, Lara, has been absolutely amazing—she’s incredibly detail-oriented and has guided him through so many important parts of the college process. From choosing schools and writing essays to understanding merit vs. need-based aid, she’s helped him feel confident and organized every step of the way.

The only reasons I didn’t give a full five stars are a couple of small things. In the beginning, we were told my son would have unlimited email access to his coach, but later found out that communication time is actually capped at 45 minutes. Also, we felt the final AdCom review could’ve offered more in-depth feedback or suggestions—it seemed a bit light considering how valuable that input could be.

Even with those minor issues, I’d definitely recommend Lara and Empowerly to any student navigating the college admissions process.

Empowerly has been a great help so far for my college journey. The thing that has most stood out is the amount of resources that their website provides. They have an extensive list of internships, good accepted essays to learn from, accepted profiles of individuals, and 1 on 1 meetings with counselors that are there to help you at every step. Their support team is also great, responding back within minutes to try to help your needs. So far, my experience with Empowerly has been really impactful.
