Empowerly provides everything needed for a smooth and confident college preparation experience.

Suhani has been an incredible resource throughout our senior's college application journey. After each weekly meeting, there is a clear plan on what to work on to stay on track. Suhani is consistent with her feedback and very responsive outside of the scheduled sessions.

Along with Suhani, the essay editing team has been incredibly helpful. They provide detailed, in-line feedback not just on grammar or wording, but also on bigger-picture elements like structure, specificity, and what each college is truly looking for in a prompt.

Through providing excellent college counseling in addition to a diversity of useful resources, such as essay reviews, college list organization tools, and more, Empowerly services have made me feel confident in approaching college admissions. Through their resources Empowerly has turned this stressful process into something I feel comfortable navigating.

We have been using Empowerly for a couple of months and it truly has made a difference for my son. His counselor has been amazing and all the summer program recommendations have been excellent.

Our son got into MIT, of course he is brilliant but these days that is not enough :) He worked with Kate, she is very experienced and knows so much about the process, from all the right high school programs to how to plan and write essays. She told my son about one program that we had no idea about, and that ended up being an extremely important part of his application. We are encouraging everyone who has doubts or isn’t too familiar with the admissions process to try Empowerly, because the college admissions process now is much more selective than it was in the past, especially for top schools. And now Kate is working with our youngest son too!

Working with Empowerly has been an amazing experience. My personal counselor was incredibly helpful, both just during our sessions, and even outside of them. She gave thoughtful, practical advice, helped me craft a strong narrative, and framed my activities in a unique and compelling way for both the UC and Common App.

The essay editors were also fantastic. They were efficient, thorough, and quick with their edits, which made the whole process so much smoother. Overall, Empowerly truly elevated my applications, and I’m really grateful for their support.

Our experience with Empowerly has been positive so far. As newcomers to the college admissions process, we’ve relied heavily on our counselor’s guidance, and everything he has recommended has been followed and executed. Now we’re waiting for results, which will ultimately show the value of the program.

We have had an absolutely outstanding experience working with Conrad from Empowerly as our son Noah, a senior at Washington High School, navigates the college application process. Conrad has been instrumental in helping Noah put together all his essays and applications for various universities, including the UCs. From start to finish, he has been incredibly supportive, kind, and detail-oriented.

We have never been through the American college application process. Conrad not only guided us through what initially felt like a black-box process but also invested a tremendous amount of time, working with Noah on a weekly basis for the last 2 months and half. He helped Noah find the right topics for his essay, refine his essays, set realistic deadlines, and understand exactly what colleges are looking for.

On top of that, he offered invaluable advice on applying for scholarships, which was a huge bonus for us.

As a fun little anecdote, we discovered that Conrad is also from Congo, just like our family, which made the whole experience feel even more personal and connected.

In short, we couldn’t have asked for a better counselor. If you’re looking for someone who is not just knowledgeable but also genuinely cares about your child’s success, Conrad is the person to go to. We’re immensely grateful for his help, and we wholeheartedly recommend him.

Having Ms. Smith as a mentor throughout the college admissions process has been invaluable. From our first meeting in late April 2025 I realized how determined she was and that motivated me to work harder. Ms. Smith always took the time and care needed to go over my essays and extracurriculars. Not only that, but she constantly sends reminders and emails about upcoming opportunities and information that has become very useful in my essay writing process. It has been a joy to work with Ms. Smith, and rather than dreading working on my essays and submitting applications, I now look forward to them because of her guidance and support.
