No customer service as no response over 2 weeks
Used it for the free trail ... trying to get hold of someone for 2 weeks now to stop the subscription as the passcode now doesn't work conveniently..... still after 2 weeks awaiting a call or email back to be able to gain access to stop the subscription. Much easier to just cancel on my banking app which i have now done.
The free trail not worth it in my opinion if you check your banking app it shows you reoccurring payments for free with no subscription needed. Crap app with no customer service or help whatsoever ever..... stay clear
Forced to setup autosave to access my money
The app works very well and the budgeting tool is very useful. The pots feature in the Save tab was a fantastic functionality until they decided to hide or block it until you setup an autosave, which requires granting them direct debit access to my account. It took me a long time to find my pots through other menu options. It made me realise that Emma could easily lock me out of ny savings. I contacted the support and was advised to setup the autosave (i.e., direct debit to my account) and pause it. I found this move very shady and no longer trust the service. I have now moved the little money I had in my pots elsewhere.

Can't imagine life without it now.
I started using this app around the time Yolt was shut down and it is now a vital part of my financial life. While I don't use all the features it offers, I do use it extensively to keep me aware of what is going on with my money. From moving money from one account to another, to keeping an eye on my credit card balances, to being able to have a good idea of my net worth, I would be quite lost without it.
Emma has some great folks working behind the scenes, which is a testament to how they are after you become a customer. I had a problem with billing and referral credit not being applied. Edoardo on the Emma support team was fantastic and got it resolved within a day. From giving me steps to take myself, to running recon behind the scenes, to working with an engineer to get the problem sorted, Edoardo ensured an incredible customer experience for me. It has given me new faith in the app and my remaining a customer.

Excellent customer service
I haven't actually used the app but I can say without a doubt their customer service team are amazing. I purchased the app under the influence of some strong painkillers, after several calls and messages to my bank and no results, I emailed the Emma app customer services explaining my issue, on my second email I was told that id receive a full refund, I will definitely be recommending the app to anyone that needs their help

Game changer
The app is a total game changer for those trying to take control of their finances. I started and failed at using spreadsheets for years and would end up in my overdraft every single month. Emma provides amazing visibility and incentive to save. All the hard work is done for you, all you have to do is keep a watchful eye and make choices based on what is reflected in the app. In less than 2 months of using the app I have gone from -£1500 to having £1500 in savings.

Great App. Already helped spot a fraudulent payment. Keeps tabs on balances so I can transfer money when needed.
Avoid
Avoid. During sign-up you will be asked to provide personal details and, if you wish, to link your bank accounts. Only then are you told that you will have to pay £8.99 per month to use the app (with a 7-day trial period).
I tried to opt for the free plan but kept being taken back to the paid plan sign-up. I then uninstalled the app.
That's 15 minutes of my life I'll never get back. I just hope no money has been taken from my account.
