Parcel Delivery ELTA Tompazi Thessaloniki, the worst!

The office seems to be OK. But the delivery person who should deliver parcels at Tompazi in Thessaloniki (546 44) is the worst. He always leaves a "Notification of attempted delivery" while I am at home. All the Time. I work remote 100%.

There are a few flats outside the main building and he simply is too lazy to or call or go there. While this information is mentioned at the address.

I filed an official complaint with the Hellenic Telecommunications & Post Commission. This person should do his job or get fired.

I lost many packages due to him and also will file, from now on, a Police conduct every time I lose a package due to his incompetence.

I ordered something from AliExpress and for the last 4 days my package is out for delivery ...literally in the same town where I live...Over the time I used dozens of other courier companies...but this one is by far the worst one. I don't understand why companies are still using ELTA as their courier.

Stay away from theStay away from ELTA at all costs. They constantly mark deliveries as “failed attempts” even when no one actually came to the address. Then you’re forced to waste hours trying to reach them by phone just to find out where you’re supposed to go and pick up your package yourself — assuming they haven’t lost it already.m

Three days in a row my parcel was…

Three days in a row my parcel was marked “Out for delivery” and nobody showed up. I was at home every time.
The system even says “Addressee requested later delivery”, which is simply not true — I never requested that.

Tracking number: PW2529025**GR

No one answers the phone or their E-mail (gmail address btw..), and customer support is unreachable. This delivery was urgent for my work, and the repeated failed attempts caused real problems for me.

Completely unreliable service and zero communication. I would not trust this courier with anything time-sensitive.

Terrible

I’ve had enough. Customer support was blunt and rude, and they never call when “attempting” delivery — I honestly doubt they even tried.
This package is medicine — urgent and critical — and the stress they caused is unacceptable. This isn’t the first time I’ve had serious issues with Elta Courier, and it will absolutely be the last.
I don’t understand why they’re still running despite repeated failures and complaints. Awful service.

My package from Ali-express has never…

My package from Ali-express has never been delivered and more over have been returned to the sender. No notification from Elta , nothing, nada , que dalle, Tipota.
I gave my workplace address on purpose, open 24/24 , 7/7 and 365/365. Elta can't argue the delivery was impossible even if technically i was not present.
i've been hopefully refunded.
The item was 180 euros and is now 330 , i guess Elta is going to pay the difference if i order it again ;)

ELTA COURIER

ELTA COURIER. THE worst courier!!! They never deliver and ALWAYS use the same lame excuse that they didn't find anyone to deliver the package and that I have to go and pick it up from their store. It's supposed to be a paid service of delivering goods in the given address but ELTA COURIER doesn't seem to grasp this concept!!!!!

Worst postal service globally

Maybe the worst postal service globally. A domestic item takes 40+ days to be delivered and a letter or parcel from abroad 2-3 months (if it’s not lost or stolen in transit). Most of their offices closed down recently and no one in Greece trusts or uses ELTA anymore. Gave 1 star because minus 5 is not available. Avoid at any cost!

The worst service ever

The worst service ever! The parcel arrived from Spain within 6 calendar days and is stuck in Athens for 10 calendar days already.

The worst of all is the customer service. I have been trying to get in touch for the last 1 hour and 45 minutes. Have contacted 4 different numbers, been on waiting list for at least 1 hour to finally reach the customer service for my parcel, only to tell me 'we cannot help other than tell you where the parcel is' - something that we can already see in the system.
When I asked them if they open tickets for each contact, of course the answer was 'No' and therefore there are no ways to complain or have transparency and metrics about the performance of the company and specifically the customer service and, there is no way of improvement without the knowledge of such metrics and the real issues of the company.

How do the supervisors know there is enough work even for the justification of these paid positions if tickets are not opened for each contact?

Being a public company, the metrics have to be improved or the company has no reason for existence, being paid by the tax payers.

they simply abolished a service

"Today, after waiting for forty-five minutes, I tried to mail a gift for my grandchildren in the United States (N.Y.). The employee told me that since July ’25 the shipment of parcels to the United States has been discontinued due to customs duties and clearance procedures!!!!!!! I left furious. I called two courier companies and they told me that for parcels valued under $100, shipment is carried out normally (although the cost was 140 euros...). I was also informed by my son in the Netherlands that the Dutch postal service sends low-value parcels under $100 to the U.S. without any issue. So here they simply abolished a service… just like that. They couldn’t find a solution…."

An overseas parcel returned to sender after 4 days

An overseas parcel was delivered to my door on Saturday. I was absent and the parcel was sent back to the post office. I tried calling the suggested number, no answered, then I sent a email explaining when I will be able to collect. The following week on Thursday i went to pick it up only to be told that it was sent back to sender, barely 4 working days later.

The letter (document) from my Bank was delivered to ELTA on 9/10/2025 and the delivery was made on 27/11/2025. If there was a zero star, I would put that. (The letter is within Greece).

Beyond terrible

I would rate no stars but not an option. A parcel arrived from the UK and i was left a note to pick it up. Off i went to Elta Elliniko and after 45 minutes of waiting because they are so slow, I was told that my 1st name was spelt differently on the parcel and they could not give it to me. It was 1 letter... but everything else was correct , Address, surname and I had the slip to pick up. Elta you are a disgrace to Greece. This causes the parcel to go back and more work for everyone ......
