Bubbles and triangulation

Went to a two-hour introduction to Elastik. Our school has a trial. In maths students, gaps are reported as bubbles. These are based on Naplan, PAT, OLNA and other public results. Also, Elastik tests (Multiple choice) if students have taken them. I had a look at my Year 8 class and found a fractions bubble (Year 6)
Solve problems involving division, choosing efficient strategies and using digital tools where appropriate; interpret any remainder according to the context and express results as a whole number, decimal or fraction (AC9M6N07). Various resources are offered to remediate (Khan, IXL, Splash, Tube). The bubble only lists one elaboration for AC9M6N07, and the teaching and learning resources provided by Elastik are in the form of a PowerPoint (10 pages) and need to be more relevant to the stated objective. Elastik is not worth the silicon it is written on.

Overpriced tool $$$$

Overpriced tool for assessment $$$$ Says it will save you time as a teacher but it creates more work through a very clicky website. Not worth the effort or hype that the company present to you. Not a time saver and doesn’t present data in a manner that is effective. It takes about 2 weeks for external sources to be loaded in for teachers to see.
