A Heartfelt Thank You to Effectable

Lavender Hope CIC would like to express our deepest gratitude to John Range, Reece Dix, Svetlye and the entire team at Effectable.

What you have done for our community centre means more than words can fully capture. For years, we have been waiting for these facilities to be upgraded. We spoke to different companies over time, and the common response was always the same, “we can do one wet room at a time.” It felt slow, uncertain, and sometimes quite disheartening.

But then Effectable came in… and everything changed.

You didn’t just take on the job, you took ownership, showed leadership, and delivered beyond expectations. The professionalism, efficiency, and care shown throughout the process has been on another level. And what stood out even more was your kindness; your team were genuinely friendly, approachable, and a pleasure to have in our space.

Because of your work, our community can now access safe, clean, and dignified washing facilities, something so basic, yet so vital. This will make a real difference to people’s daily lives, health, and wellbeing.

We are truly, truly grateful.

From all of us at Lavender Hope and the wider community, thank you for not just doing a job, but for making a lasting impact. ❤️

This company is just so unorganised it…

This company is just so unorganised it hurts.
Islington Council referred this company to complete a walk in shower refurbishment. Which was reported to Council in November 2025. After the asbestos check that was arranged by council and Full circle compliance in December 2025. All clear, I had Elliott come to measure the bathroom January 2026 I had time booked off work in early February 2026 which he said he would have all that is needed to complete the job I asked if it could be booked in for early February he said he will let the office know.

Come end of January 2026 I call Effectable to confirm if they can start the work to be told no and for it to be done the following week which did not work for me due to my job I work from home or I'm away for work.
We arranged for this week 2/3/26 only for me to call them on on the day twice only to be told it has been cancelled due to another emergency. Why did I have to contact them twice my first call at 0930 to speak to Jess she wasn't available I was told a message will be given to her and that she will contact the contractor and call me in a hour, 2.5hours later I called back I was told by Jess that they will attend Wednesday 4th March only to be called on Tuesday 3rd March by Jess cancelling the Wednesday that was offered just the day before with promise that the job would be completed Thursday and Friday 5th and 6th March.
Only to have a tiler come to do the cancelled job...today 4th March it seems the message did not reach him, so now he has gone to get tiles to complete his part, I called to find out if the floor layer would come the next day as its a two part job only to be told I will have to wait til Friday for this to take place considering they have messed my whole week up I wanted to talk to Jess who is not available I may add when I have called to talk to her she is busy or not available.
I will be feeding this back to Islington Council and I will make a complaint. As this is not good customer service.

I'm not a customer and won't be

I'm not a customer and won't be after being cut up by one of their vans who then couldn't be bothered to use his indicators at the next junction. You're driving a liveried company van mate - not a good advert.

A picture paints a thousand words..

A picture paints a thousand words... And that's of an unfinished bathroom floor, that's not flat or been laid properly and a flat that's not been made right from the damage the floor layers caused to it.

I'm seriously impressed with this…

I'm seriously impressed with this company. They have done lots of work on my house to adapt it for me. Everything has lasted for years. Nothing was done in a shoddy manner. Today I had to call in for a shower repair and their repairman turned up within hours. All grab rails were fitted securely, door handle changes etc, all as good as they day there were installed years ago. Their call centre and staff are really nice. I'd recommend them to anyone needing adaptations

IF YOU NEED YOUR PROPERTY ADAPTED FOR SOMEONE WHO IS ELDERLY OR DISABLED, THEN FIND ANOTHER COMPANY!

The workmanship which this company carries out is far below standard, it is simply not acceptable. Some of their operatives/manager will even argue with you the customer if you ask questions regarding the quality of work which is carried out.
Work which is carried out by them usually needs to be redone 2 or 3 times before it is done properly.
They carry out work for a few Local Authorities. How can they be allowed to do such shoddy work in elderly and disabled people homes and get away with it, is beyond me. Sometimes the Local Authority usually calls another company to fix the mess which Effectable.co.uk has caused.
IT'S A PITTY I CAN'T GIVE THEM NO STARS.
