I was a little disappointed in this ham, as I was looking for a Smithfield Artisan ham substitute. It is obviously aged, but doesn't have the stronger flavors I expected from 8 months of aging, nor the saltiness of being salt cured. It's fine for what it is, albeit, a little expensive.

I had never had one before but I have gifted several so l decided to try one. VERY DISAPPOINTING. It wasn't a bad ham, just a pretty ordinary one and for the price, it should have been extraordinary. I feel taken advantage of and this will be my last purchase from this purveyor.

Thank you for the review Annette. We are sorry you were disappointed in the Wigwam ham. Due to it being aged over 200 days, it is one of our saltier hams.
You may want to order the regular country ham next time as that is aged over 90 days. It is the least salty of the country hams.
We love the hams from Edwards. The Wigwam is even better.

First time trying the Wigwam. If you haven’t already and are a fan of the country jams, try it! I really enjoyed the nutty flavor and consistency of the meat. Absolutely outstanding! Will definitely be purchasing this is the future.

Having enjoyed Wigwam hams in years past I find this one to be not of the same taste or quality, and generally inferior to the prior hams.

Thank you for your review Thomas. The Wigwam hams are saltier because they are aged over 200 days, resulting in a more intense flavor. Besides the Wigwam, we do have another country ham that is only aged over 90 days which is not as salty.
