We will always be grateful for the…

We will always be grateful for the fantastic and supportive help we received from Nigel and his team in helping our daughter into the right college for her. Without this, she would not be there right now. We contacted Education Advocacy on recommendation and would most definitely recommend them to anybody who need their services. They were very professional and totally understood the issues we were having.

Thank you again so much.

Education Advocacy helped get our child into Special School

Following delays with our son's EHCP application, which were solely the fault of the local authority, and which meant that our son may miss out on a placement at a Special School that could support his complex needs, we consulted Education Advocacy.

The team were fantastic and supportive right from the start. Their direct engagement with the local authority meant that instead of waiting 8 months to see an Educational Psychologist, our son was seen within 7 days of their contact.

When further delays were then encountered in getting the draft EHCP written, EA were quick to contact the local authority, with immediate results; again reducing a 14 day wait for the draft, down to just 24 hours.

This has meant that our son now has a place at a fantastic Special School that can support his needs, and is due to start in September. None of this would have been possible without Education Advocacy. We would highly recommend their services to any other parents experiencing difficulties with their local authority or with the EHCP process.

Thank you

We will forever be grateful to Samantha and Nigel for their support and guidance in helping to secure the correct secondary school placement for our child.

The whole process was handled in the upmost professional manner. Communication was clear and concise and we greatly valued their prompt responses to our (many) queries.

Most importantly, they listened and understood our child's needs.

Please keep doing what you do. We would not hesitate to recommend Education Advocacy to any family who may need their services.

Made a complex secondary school transition easy

This was the second time I used Education Advocacy (the first time they helped me to secure an out of county independent boarding placement for my son). The secondary transition process can be daunting. I started the process with Education Advocacy a year early (well before the need to appeal to SENDIST). By doing this Education Advocacy helped me to control the system/process so that it did not control me. I achieved the result I wanted (independent specialist school that met needs) and through early engagement the process became straightforward (no anxious SENDIST wait/battle - we reached agreement with the LA 8 months prior to tribunal date). Education Advocacy was flexible in its approach so I only paid for the time that I used. Inexpensive compared to a fixed monthly fee for a solicitor in the run up to a tribunal.

Exceptional Team

I have used Education Advocacy twice to run successful cases for my Autistic kids. The first for an ISP placement and the second for an EOTAS package.

In both cases, Emily and Nigel's work was exceptional and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend them to others.

Education Advocacy: Your child's education in the best hands

Huge thanks and gratitude to the excellent stewardship of Poppy’s case by Education Advocacy. Nigel & Samantha formed a most important part of Team Poppy. Always upbeat, honest, and a positive force, these two remarkable individuals had a complete understanding of Poppy, her needs and her potential. Their experience of the tribunal process is surely second to none, and they guided us faultlessly through to ensure that Poppy got what she deserved for her last 3 years in education.

Professional, understanding, knowledgeable & Committed to get the best outcome! Forever grateful!

I am so thankful that this team was recommended to us by another parent. Their professionalism and knowledge is what is needed!

This was the first EHCP for our son age 4 who has very complex needs. It was so important that we got him the support he needs at the right school from the very start. Every day matters and it has been a constant worry for months ‘what if?’ The placement being named by LA just didn’t make sense.

We needed evidence to get the EHCP to better reflect his needs and provision required. Really good guidance was given for getting appropriate experts (which proved challenging in the time frame).

Nigel and Emily have been amazing, their advice, experience and wealth of knowledge means after a long process we can now get excited for him starting school. It’s such a relief to know he is being given the best opportunity to fulfil his potential.

Best Wishes

Kimberley

Professional help, we couldn’t have succeeded without!

Education Advocacy has helped us through a long and exhausting battle with the local authority to secure an EHCP for our 5 year old son. With their caring help, bundles of competent, highly professional advice, our son got exactly what he needs. We simply could not have done it without Emily and Nigel, and for that we are immensely grateful!

I DO NOT RECOMMEND!

My 5-year-old daughter with non-verbal Autism was violently attacked by a person of 'height' (she sustained a punctured red mark into her left cheek and 3 to 4 progressively swelling scratch marks on her lower left jaw) at her 'Special School' setting.

She was left traumatised for 3 days following her horrific ordeal - she no longer laughed; smiled, or made her happy vocalisations, nor did she show any interest in her favourite foods or TV shows.

The 'school' avoided putting anything in writing regarding the incident, and we decided to keep our daughter at home until the matter was formally addressed. However, when contacted the "Education Advocacy UK" for advice on what to do next, we were encouraged to keep our daughter at home, but not Homeschool. But this "Education Advocacy" service failed to warn us about the '10th day' school absent rule - which would trigger the "children missing in education" safeguarding alert with the Local Authorities.

Due to this significant LACK of information, my family and I were subjected to a HUMILIATING unannounced home visit in the early hours of the morning by two Social Workers and two Police Officers in the view of neighbours and passerbys and our daughter was UNDULY placed onto a 'Child Protection Plan' in the [ironic] category of "neglect".

I STRONGLY ADVISE ANY PARENTS NEEDING HELP AND ADVICE FOR THEIR VULNERABLE CHILDREN IN EDUCATION TO STAY AWAY FROM THIS FRAUDULENT "SERVICE" WHO ALSO GAINED FEES OF HUNDREDS OF POUNDS FROM US!!

Like many of you reading this review I…

Like many of you reading this review I was in a position where I felt that the local authority had erm….. well quite frankly let me and my family down. My 4 year old autistic son had an EHCP in place, and having never been in this position before I trusted them to do the right thing. When I was informed that my son could not go to our preferred choice of school as it was full I was left worrying about what would happen.

I can honestly say what happened next has not only helped me put my son into the school I wanted, but also has ensured that he receives the help he needs while there and changed our lives for the better.
Nigel, Emily, Heather and the team at Education Advocacy are outstanding. From the initial case review right through to the tribunal every step was explained and followed up on. This review really can’t do justice to the exceptional commitment and work Nigel and the team have done for my family.
Don’t even think about looking elsewhere, these guys are the real deal and not only has my son now got the best possible start at the right school for him, but we have a robust EHCP that is now fit for purpose.

Review of Education Advocacy

If you're in doubt of whether you may need a company such as this to lead and guide you through the EHCP process - please do not think twice. Without the superior knowledge, experience and professionalism from Emily and the whole Education Advocacy team, I would have not secured the change in placement for my daughters school and the amendments for her EHCP. Emily is an absolute pleasure to work with - quick to respond, always at the end of the phone if needed and offers expert advice and guidance through the whole EHCP process. It will be money well spent.
