Excellent Centre
I have worked for EducateFirst at the Huddersfield centre for nearly 3 years and am unfortunately leaving the company at the end of this month as I am moving back home to London.
I can honestly say the past three years have been an incredible experience, I have worked with children from KS1 all the way to KS4; witnessing the children grow and flourish in each of the classes.
Each tutor brings a unique experience to their classes and I have thoroughly enjoyed watching my students exceed beyond what they imagined in subjects they once struggled in.
All my students have said time and time again that they enjoy coming to class, even though it's on a Saturday! At EducateFirst the company ensures the children are taught to the highest of standards however, as a tutor I didn't want to make it the same as school so I encouraged more interactive lessons working through a lesson plan followed by each student then completing a worksheet on the subject covered and there was always extension work for the children who needed it.
Many children have different abilities and are within the same class, this has never been an issue - each student is treated with the individual help they need and a student is never left to fall behind.
I would recommend EducateFirst to all students who are struggling in one of the core subjects or those who need an extra boost; it improves not only the child's learning abilities but also social skills as they are mixing with children they do not know.
I would like to thank the whole team at EducateFirst for the past three years and I wish the company all the luck in the future.
Miss Meehan.
One of the best
This is my first review. This has to one of the better places I have sent my children to be taught. They seem to know what they are doing and children love it. Very clean and safe place for the children to be in and it feels just like school but with much smaller groups of children in each class. Children come back smiling and keep talking about what they learnt all afternoon. They have a good school report than before so things cannot be bad at all. A good start for their early school years.
Hope someone will find this review useful.
Thank you.
Kiran.
Every little helps
OK, I tried out Educate First as my neighbours used to rave about how great it was and much help they got when they were about to sit their exams. When I did my GCSE exams I also joined. At first I thought it was a waste of time but I kept on going and it turned out that I did end up learning a lot more than I thought. The teachers are really honest and did their best to help me. My predicted grades are now between A's and C's which is much better than the D's and E's at the start of the year.
I will be continuing in year 11 as well to make sure I keep up my grades and it will be a tough year. I need good grades so that I get to do the A-levels I need to go to university.
Educate First Is Cool
Education First has helped me a lot. My grades got better at school. I can do my school home work on my own now.
I like the teachers in my class. They are very good and help me a lot. All my friends have starting coming as well and they also like it too.
Some of my friends go to another centre in Huddersfield but they are not happy and they pay a lot more money than I do.
Educate First is cool.
Remarkable
A truly great place for kids to learn. Safe and clean. The methods the teachers use actually work but as with everything you have to give it time and stick with it.
Good to see other parents agreeing with me. Obviously I cannot vouch for all their centres but the one in Huddersfield at the Hudawi Centre is exceptionally great.
Magnificent lessons for kids
Kids really enjoyed it. Even though the company only charged about £7 per lesson we seem to get more than what we paid for.
We plan to continue with the lessons as it's doing the kids some good and they are learning stuff.
The teachers are very good and seem to take pride in their work. I really liked the fact that I can approach them and ask how my kids are getting on.
Worked like a charm for my kids
This is one of the best tutoring services I have used for my kids. Very helpful tips and guidance from the staff. My kids are doing much better at school and much more confident. My kids used to work very slow at school and never got to complete any tests so lost a lot of mark. Now they work much quicker and finish their tests at school with marks better than I had expected.
I have friends with kids who attend some of their other educate first centres and they have told me similar stories of satisfaction.
I can happily recommend this tutoring company.
EducateFirst helped me pass my GCSEs!
The help and support i got from EducateFirst was exeptional! The tutors were fantastic and helped students with thier work individually, they explained eveything to me again if didn't understand :)
I would highly reccomend EducateFirst to all friends and family.
It really helped us alot
Me and my sister went to the maths and science classes as we needed help. I have just done my GCSE exams and I think I have done well because of all the help the teachers here gave me in class.
Yas is still is year 9 but says the same that it has really helped her. She will need to keep on going as she starts her GCSE in September.
We made new friends as well and we keep in touch with them. Our parents are really pleased.
Got a FREE lesson and loved it.
Never heard of EducateFirst before, but I found them appear on O2 priority moments and they offered free lessons for students. I took them up on their offer and booked by son in. He loved it and found it a great experience. There was no fuss and no one harassed me or forced me to make any payment for more lessons. They just leave it up to you to decide if you want to continue. As another reviewer pointed out it is just over £5 for a lesson which is a bargain.
Great tuition at an unbelievable price.
It has to be said that after having several tutors come to my home to help my son and failing I decided to give EducateFirst in Leeds a go. I finally think I have found the right people. I found that tutors at Educate First are honest, trusting, friendly and very professional as they have done a great job helping my son improve his school work. He is more confident at school and his school teacher has noticed a difference in just a couple of months.
This tutoring centre really helps. It only costs £6.25 per lesson and is a complete bargain when I think I spend more money at Starbucks with friends. By far the best value for tuition I have come across. I plan to keep on sending my son to the classes in Maths and English as he really enjoys them and it is helping him a lot.
If you or your child needs help with their school work then EducateFirst should be on the top of your list.
Great Atmosphere, Excellent Tutors!
I enroled my child at EducateFirst for English classes after I noticed she was struggling with her schoolwork. I was hesitant at first, not wanted to push her too hard academically. However, after attending the Huddersfield centre on Saturday mornings for 6 months, I have noticed a huge improvement both in her confidence and understanding of topics covered.
From the day I was invited in for a consultation, I noticed the place has a real community-based atmosphere. My child really enjoys the individual attention she is given in the classes and she is encouraged by her tutor to participate in group discussions, something I think she was lacking at school. It's amazing how the tutors are able to provide so much focused attention to each child for only £25 a month. The management team seems always on hand and I'm always kept posted on my child's progress.
I really can't fault the tutoring company. My child really enjoys going and learns lots - so much so that I have just registered her for the maths and science classes as well! I would recommend EducateFirst to all with kids.
