Caution

Caution. 😬 in my opinion, what was once a great shoe, is no more. The last 2 pairs of Ecco Soft 7 shoes I purchased started falling apart within 2 months. They split at the front seam. First the left seam, then the right. The split gets larger and air gets in and makes a weird sound. As the spit grows they stick to the carpet. Warranty is time consuming, it could be a couple of months before you are reimbursed. They said, send the shoes back and we will examine them in 5 to 8 weeks we will make a decision about whether we will reimburse you for the shoes that lasted 2 months! Yeah, kinda sick for $115.00 shoes. Purchased 2/20 fell apart the end of March.

The shoes will rot

As a fan of ECCO shoes, I have bought many pairs of ECCO shoes, and basically only buy this brand for myself, family and friends. Many pairs of shoes,at leas80% have problems with the soles, even without wear and tear, and some pairs of shoes have never been worn. The soles fall off piece by piece like dry mud. I contacted customer service and they admitted that there were problems with the formula of the outsole of "a small number" of soles, and they could be replaced after inspection. However, the policy was revised in January 2024, and it will only be handled within one year of purchase. I still have at least 5 pairs of broken shoes. Buyers must be cautious.

Very poor customer service.

Very poor customer service.

I am honestly shocked because I am a longtime customer of their shoes. I really loved them for many years, but as many have noted in other reviews especially Facebook, the quality is gone. The once very helpful Ecco now doesn’t care at all for the customer.

I bought 4 pairs of shoes. All the same size but they werent the same size. I have always worn the same size 10US for their shoes. This time only 1 of the 4 size 10US fit my foot. The other 3 were extremely large as if they are actually a size 11-12.

When inquiring about exchange, they rejected it. Saying I must return them and pay a fee. Then purchase the same shoe a smaller size at more than double the price I paid.

Don't waste your money buy Sketchers instead

My son bought me a pair of Ecco Goretex shoes 17 months ago. The shoes leaked after 12 month of use. A friend recommended a special shoe cream which I used that worked as long as I used it after every use.
The seams on both shoes have given way which I have never had happen in 55 years of wearing golf shoes. I contacted Ecco even though I supplied photos with the serial numbers etc they refused to refund or replace the shoes unless I had the original receipt. My son looked for the receipt but was unable to find it. I wont buy Ecco ever again, there shoes are terrible basically junk for £190. Don't waste your money buy Sketchers instead

Very bad customer service on the phone

Very bad customer service on the phone. One rep called Scott hangup on me for expressing my displeasure over their excessively long delay in processing my return. They most certainly appears to me they do not need anyones business. They will handle you very badly if you make the mistake of doing business with them. I mailed out my return on 10/14, they received it on on 10/18. I called 11/01 and they still telling it will take 2-3 weeks before processing because they are short staff. Very scary doing business with them.
