Ordered Christmas hamper on line as a…

Ordered Christmas hamper on line as a family present. Website did not give clear instructions on order acceptance process resulting in non delivery. Complained and Eataly apologised by email and delivery re-scheduled for New Year. Received email from Eataly confirming item despatched. Just before delivery received another email from Eataly that nearly 30% of Hamper contents unavailable (these items were not specified) and a refund for missing items issued. Complained that at the time of ordering I was not contacted with an offer to replace items with substitutions or be allowed to cancel the order. Eataly apologised by email and confirmed by email they would deliver the outstanding items on 7th January. As of 16th January 2026 no delivery and Eataly Customer Services not responding to my emails. Very disappointing

A disappointing experience

A disappointing experience. Not enough waiting staff - good but overworked. The food is prepared in full sight but was luke warm and mediocre. A somewhat expensive experience- just not value for the money.

Shabby

Today was my first visit to Eataly in Bishops Gate. A wonderful place with great coffee and food. The one star I have given today is for the appalling state of shirts worn by the staff which looked very much as if they have been taken off a laundry bag of unwashed clothes.
This is for the management. You have a wonderful place and please bear in mind you are in the centre of London serving tourists. Wonder what an image they will take back home.

Bishopsgate Eataly- A huge thank you to Anxhela for organising our La Scuola party

A huge thank you to Anxhela who made my surprise party for my partner's birthday in Eataly's private and beautifully appointed glazed 'School Room' an amazing day to remember. Nothing I asked for was too much trouble and the team who looked after us on the day were just brilliant. Jordan the chef gave a great pasta making demonstration and he made the most delicious pasta sauces, they were the best! Ursula was a great waitress and looked after us so well. Anxhela even popped in on her day off to say hi! The day was everything I could have asked for and more and I can't thank these three lovely people enough for making the most memorable experience for us all. They even ok'd me booking a magician for the event. I love Eataly's ease with fitting around their customers requests and an Italian family feel feeds through with the whole Eataly experience.
....Oh and their tiramisu is to die for!!
Thank you Anxhela, Jordan and Ursula

This evening

This evening, my friend and I had the worst experience we have ever encountered at Eataly Liverpool Street, 11 Dec 2024. The treatment we received was not only rude but downright appalling. I have never been treated with such a lack of respect and basic human decency in my life.

After enjoying a meal and settling our bill, we decided to order another glass of Prosecco. However, just five minutes after our drinks arrived, we were abruptly asked to vacate our table, without being offered an alternative space to finish our beverages. Had we been informed before ordering that the table was needed and there wasn’t enough time or another area available, we would have gladly left then. Instead, we were left standing in the middle of the restaurant with full glasses in hand, feeling completely disregarded.

We noticed a table just outside the main restaurant area where others were seated and enjoying their drinks. We politely asked a waiter if we could move there, and upon receiving his approval, we relocated. While sitting there and browsing the store’s products, the floor manager suddenly approached us in an aggressive and accusatory manner, loudly claiming we hadn’t paid our bill. This shocking accusation was made in front of other customers, leaving us humiliated.

We calmly explained the situation, expecting an apology for the misunderstanding. Instead, the floor manager doubled down with further rude and insulting remarks. This behavior was both upsetting and unacceptable.

The experience left us feeling insulted and completely disrespected, especially as paying customers. The restaurant felt chaotic and poorly managed, with the floor manager in particular displaying an alarming lack of professionalism. To add insult to injury, this individual seemed to believe such behavior was entirely acceptable.

We have taken the floor manager’s name and will be filing a formal complaint with Eataly’s head office. This kind of treatment should never be tolerated, and I hope immediate action will be taken to address this issue.

Insulted in public by the floor manager

A friend and I dined at the London Bishopsgate branch. It was my first outing following major surgery and during Christmas time (11 Dec 2024). We had something to eat and drink, and settled our bill in full. We then spontaneously decided to have another Prosecco before we left. 5 minutes after the drinks arrived they told us to vacate the table as they had booked it for other customers. We had to begrudgingly leave the table with fresh glasses of Prosecco in our hands. Nobody showed us an alternative place to finish our drinks. We stood there in the middle of the restaurant, than moved into the market area of the venue. Then a guy appeared, loudly accusing us of “trying to leave without paying”. We were still IN THE PREMISES with our glasses FULL for god’s sake. When shown displeasure at this appalling slander, he proceeded with yelling at us not to come back! Talk about customer retention skills! I am 56 and have never seen such horrific customer service in the entirety of my life. The guy is apparently a floor manager too, so you’d think he’d know better! It is shocking Eataly Human Resources decided to make a rude, mannerless and thoroughly inefficient person with zero customer skills a floor manager. When I pressed for his name so I would make a formal complaint to the head office, he gave a false name to avoid accountability and called the security. We managed to get his real name from a waitress and we are in the process of lodging a complaint with the head office. I would not recommend this purely commercial enterprise to anyone. Go somewhere else, spend your money somewhere else - Eataly don’t deserve a single penny of yours! I am so upset I am visibly shaking - and this is not how I should be feeling after spending £100 in a lower-tier restaurant

The absolute WORST experience ever...

The absolute WORST experience of Italian food and customer service l EVER had in my LIFE. The staff were ignorant and RUDE, in particular a MALE waiter with a MAN BUN hairstyle who was really ARROGANT and the Chefs serve up a SMALL portion if they are BIASED AGAINST YOU as they DID to ME
with the TASTELESS extra small pasta l was served and l almost REPORTED the WHOLE place for discrimination of me as a single lady from another country, my experience of this restaurant was THAT BAD!!!! There WAS NO manager on site to talk to just one nice young female staff member and they DON'T even HAVE the seasonal menu on offer as clearly stated on the Eataly website so it seems like a BIG CON so l HAVE now emailed the CEO to lodge a serious COMPLAINT!

Eataly Bishopsgate - lift your game!

I live close to Eataly in Bishopsgate, London and go there quite often. I have noticed that over the last year, the quality of the food, the service and cleanliness has gone downhill. It takes ages for the tables to be cleared. During a recent visit, when I asked for a table to be cleared so that I could use it, I was told to clear it myself! The female toilets were filthy. I found a supervisor and complained to him but he was totally disinterested. One of the staff members told me that the staff toilets were the same. Eataly is not a cheap place to eat or drink and given the above, I will think twice before I decide to go there again.

Went for lunch in Milan Eataly

Went for lunch in Milan Eataly. We ordered 3 meals from gastronomia section. To start with, the cashier made a mistake overcharging us for more than 15 euro which were refunded when we pointed out the error.
Of the 3 meals, 2 Vitelli tonne’ and 1 chicken curry, only the first two arrived after a minimum wait of 3/5 min. The chicken arrived after 10 minutes and arrived cold!
Also quality of the chicken was terrible, full of filaments and connective tissue.
Not the quality of meat one expects from Eataly. A BIG DISAPPOINTMENT BOTH IN SERVICE AND IN QUALITY OF MEAT.

(EATALY) Pasta E Pizza restaurant dissapointing...

I was very dissapointed when I took some visiting relatives from New Zealand out for a long awaited meal at the Pasta E Pizza restaurant inside Eataly London.
I don't usually make restaurant reviews as its all usually a matter of taste but I had a feeling of being let down from what I was expecting and definitely from the promised quality for the price I was paying.
The pasta dishes were average but the pizza's were doughy, lacking filling and the additional n'duja I ordered was provided was less than a tea spoon full... hardly visible let alone enough to provide additional taste.
We are regular shoppers at Eataly as the products are good quality and hard to get elsewhere in the UK but I'm sorry to say this first visit to one of their many restaurants inside the large store didn't live up to those same standards.
In a few words, bland, undercooked and a pricey dissapointment!

Not quite 5 stars this time

I'm a huge fan of Eataly and usually manage to visit three or four times a year.

The food is excellent and reasonably priced and the shop, although expensive is amazing and I usually leave with a full bag and try not to think of how carried away I got and how much I spent!

So why 4 stars instead of 5? It was a birthday lunch. It was busy, but not as busy as previously when we have eaten there. The quality of the food as always was excellent but it was the small things that were missing this time. The drinks my guests had (aperol spritzers) were missing the usual garnishes and also when the food was served we were not offered any condiments and had to ask, likewise with the coffee after the meal, no sugar was given or offered.

These are perhaps little things and rather than annoyed we were surprised as this is so unlike the service you normally get.

I also realised when I got home that two of the items I bought which were on offer had been charged at full price. I was more annoyed at myself for not checking the receipt until I got home.

But despite this, as always we did enjoy the food and the shop and I am already looking forward to my next visit.
