£3.00 rip off con

This 3rd party platform charge you £3.00 to register to bid on an auction, and if you are not approved they still keep your money, This is for every auction not just once with the same auction house every auction they have!! RIP OFF

This platform allows too many chancer auction houses on their site.
They have house clearance companies and chsncers trading out of their garages etc. There is on auction house that has a 3 day auction every week. It is impossible to source enough stock for sale weekly 3 day auction, unless you are importing stuff

Crazy shipping $$$

Thanks for the nice auctions but these outrageously expensive quotes received at 400/500 pounds for tiny small items, plus the extra stress of dealing with outside vendors + ups/dhl/fed ex adding additional hassle and $$$ and then customs delays and further extra charges especially when using FedEx/Ups/Dhl makes bidding with you very prohibitive. Many of the auction houses refuse in house packaging and shipping. Used to use easylive alot back in the day, but with these crazy shipping scenarios will have to cut back or curtail all togehter.

Easylive auctions dont care

Not a good company if you have a problem with one of their auctions they advertise auctions and i trusted them.
I put 4 items into Acanthus auctions ltd Tisbury wilts.
All items sold and Tisbury auctions refused to pay me my £54.
I contacted them direct and no joy.
i contacted easy live auctions ltsd to be told they are not responsible for the auction houses even though they would taken a listing fee and commission fee for the sale of my items.
Avoid easylive auctions and Acanthus Auctions ltd tisbury wilts.
this will now be a police matter.

Major Website flaw

I use Easy Live Auction regularly to acquire items for my business and have experienced this issue before, but this is the first time it has happened when my lots were about to come up on a live auction.

The way the site works is that you log into the main website first. When you click to enter a live auction, it opens in a separate pop-up window where the bidding takes place.

During a recent auction, while I was logged into the main website and actively bidding through the live pop-up window, the pop-up crashed. I had to close it and return to the main website in order to reopen the live auction link.

However, when I got back to the main website, I discovered I had been automatically logged out. This meant that when I tried to re-enter the live auction, I was no longer authenticated and had to log back into the main website first, then click into the auction again to generate a new pop-up window before I could resume bidding.

This happened while a live auction was still ongoing and had only been running for around two hours. Being logged out during an active sale creates unnecessary stress and a real risk of missing lots, especially when timing is critical.

There appears to be no option to remain logged in for a longer period, For a platform hosting live auctions, session stability should be a priority. Logging users out of the main website while a live auction are still in progress is a serious usability flaw that needs addressing

Horrible auctioneer protected by easylive

Horrible auctioneers protected by spineless customer service. First the auction houses take ages to reply after payment. One auction house (Sheffield gallery) was also lax in sorting our shipping. Mixed up it's payment. Upon offering to wait to sort out the transaction with the bank or cancellation altogether, they place a unilateral block and demand me to use credit card instead. I state my dissatisfaction at their behaviour and pause everything till an apology is offered as at no step did I state non-payment. First they throw me the non-sense that I am legally bound to buy but then they cancel the sale when they see I am not budging without apology (it was just one small cheap lot, I am sure they were making a statement). They had dug their heels as did I. They spam my inbox when I clearly asked them that I will not entertain any communication without express apology first. I take the matter to easylive out of contempt to ask them to cease and desist and help me recover my goods and remove the block for the auction house's misdemeanor. I had sent the screenshots of the mail trail. But then they stall saying that they would prefer I forward the mail string to them instead (strange? As the screenshots clearly showed the time stamps and sequence). Then they have the gall to tell me that I apologise and offer to pay something more as a goodwill gesture. I lost my mind and clarified the situation again. They then abruptly close the case without either removing the block or any other solution despite my multiple offers to help resolve the situation. They give no explanation and only promise me to send a cease and desist email which they clearly didn't as the auction house had again mailed to me just to irritate and surmonize. I have run out of patience. This was a waste of time, money and mental peace. EDIT: " ***** ** ********* ******* ***** ******** culture lacking accountability." They take a cut from every purchase but get soft feet when it comes to upholding the truth, let alone defending the customer who actually pays their bills. They will never get another pound from me and I would suggest you to be wary with parting with yours for this lot

Why don't you have an app?

An app for the auctioneer system users would be very beneficial and forward-thinking. The web browser version is clunky on a smartphone or tablet and much slower to operate than a desktop or a laptop. Working from a fixed desk is becoming less of a thing as time goes on so Easylive should get ahead of the curve and roll out a beta simplified iPhone/android system whereby photos can be uploaded, descriptions amended etc for setting up auctions.

One auction house ruined my entire account

Used easylive platform for years and enjoyed it. Earlier in 2025 bought a lot from halfway auctions in Bradford and had a family emergency and couldn’t collect the (£10) lot by the end of the week (auction houses stipulation)

I phoned them and apologised and explained my circumstances and said I could come early next week to pay and collect. The staff on the phone were totally unsympathetic and informed me that I would be banned from any of their further auctions and they would flag my account as a non-payer. I felt like this was unreasonable and rude but it’s their business.

I am disappointed to learn that being flagged as a non-payer means new auction houses on easylive platform will no longer approve me for auctions. This is hurting my business as a critical time of year.

I have never had an issue before with ent auction house and can no longer recommend easy live platform as they offered no help in finding a resolution.

My actual review is one i have to leave…

My actual review is one i have to leave after reading customers reviews. Maybe if the bidders read the terms and conditions of the individual auction they want to bid with, a lot of these complaints would not be made. Each auction has their own shipping procedures, and also their own charges. We give quotes which the bidder may or may not agree with. It is up to them to make that decision, we have wages, electric, water, rent to pay out, we are not sat in our kitchens doing the packing....in fact we would prefer bidders to collect or send there own couriers ....but please do not say we are obbing you. Its a quote, if you do not agree, then send your own courier. Has for the auctioneer knowing there is a bid on a lot.....well thats why its called an auction....

There are quite a lot of reviews on here that do not make sense, you cannot blame Easylive for Auctions own rules. Read them before you bid, if you dont agree then dont use that auction. But please remember, its an auction and most things are 2nd hand and have faults, best thing to do is get of backside and actually come and view them in person.

Use the saleroom.com instead

A company who believes everything an auction says without asking for evidence of fact ,despite having years of no problem transactions, spending thousands ,I was forced to close my account after being unable to register for auctions ...complaints dept very rude and frankly useless...do yourself a favour ,use the saleroom. Com instead ,much better user interface ,less glitchy and excellent customer service than these cowboys
