DO NOT BUY FROM THIS BUSINESS

DO NOT BUY FROM THIS BUSINESS. If I could rate "0 stars", I would do so. It has been more than a month and I have not received my order. I have contacted Earthwise numerous times only to be assured that my order was sitting at UPS waiting to be scanned. About a week ago I contacted UPS directly and was told they had not received anything to be shipped to me from this company. I then telephoned Earthwise. Even though they had informed my that my order had already been shipped out, the person I spoke with offered to ship my order out that day. I told him that, instead, I wanted to cancel my order and receive a refund. I was told that the refund would be issued within 48 hours. It is a week later and I am still waiting for my refund.

Ordered two packages of seed

Ordered two packages of seed, very little came up, and what did would never make a yard like the one shown in their propaganda advertisement. They give you a deal on the seed, but shipping almost doubles the bill. Save your money and buy real grass seed.

Zero stars would be more applicable

If I could give this place zero stars I would. I normally order through American Meadows who have always been great. But Earthwise had some items AM didn’t do I was going to give them a chance.

I was forced to pay for 2 day shipping. My label was created immediately. And then never advanced. After 7 days I reached out to I received a message saying they were sorry and they were resending it right away. I found out after no changes and days of emailing them this was an automated email. They wouldn’t answer my specific message and every response was exactly the same.

The phone number is useless as no one picks up. I am missing my planting window so I canceled my order. However due to other reviews where people weren’t getting refunds I plan on just calling my credit card company and having them take care of it. BEWARE!!

What is really going on with shipping with this company

I ordered two types of seed March 15, 2026. I have been patient as it was approaching spring. It is now May 9, 2026 and my order still has not arrived. I messaged them on April 16th and got a quick response "great new your order has been processed and sent for shipment". On Shop the order says package was expected 4/18. I had plumbing done in February and was hoping to start a no mow lawn since my mower was stollen last year. I thankfully have a manual mower and have used it. I let my some of my grass go to seed and decided to just collect it and use it and see what happens. I'll mix in the seeds I ordered if they ever arrive. I am thankful for the wonky weather here in NC this year in hopes the seed will germinate and grow. I just hope summer doesn't kill the seed with the super hot temps we usually get. We will see what happens. Unfortunately due to the shipping I can not say anything on the quality of the products at this time; however, through email, customer service was quick and responsive.

Negative 100- liars

If I could give them a negative number, it would be -100. I placed the ONE TIME order and it was confirmed. Next thing I know I have a subscription! I notified them IMMEDIATELY that this was a ONE TIME order. I mean, why the heck would I need a subscription for seed? Anyway, the order was to have been delivered April 29th. I never received a tracking number so, when I hadn't heard anything by May 2 I emailed them again. They made a bunch of excuses that made no sense and said they would facilitate rushing my order. I told them that, if I didn't have my order or, at least a UPS tracking number by noon today I would do a chargeback. So, today, when I contacted them one last time I got the identical email I had previously received about my order sitting with "label created" much too long and they would expedite my order and to just keep checking my tracking number.....the tracking number I never received.

Anyway, I looked at my credit card statement and they had divided the order into three charges! I called the bank and filed chargebacks on all three.

Avoid this company at all costs. Order from American Meadows or someone with a good reputation. I messed up on this one as I never came here to check on them....my bad.

Still waiting on order but at least my headache arrived.

I am writing this review to highlight a significant failure in service and ethics regarding my order which was placed on April 12, 2026. A few days after placing the order, I checked the status and saw a delivery date of April 17th. As of today, May 7th, none of the items from my order have been delivered. UPS tracking confirms that while a label was created on April 16th, the carrier has never received the package.

When I emailed Earthwiseseed.co with this information, the company provided a written statement to me via email, attributing the delay to a "new system" where they stage orders in "bulk" and continued on by claiming a "massive surge" in orders recently and being a "family-run company" as if these "key words" provide a company Carte Blanche to continue holding consumer capital indefinitely without providing the goods. When I requested an immediate refund, I was denied. Instead, I was provided with an option of shipping back the items once my order is received and only then would I receive a refund which is confusing when it seems others to include myself, never received our orders.

To all consumers and individuals trying to better their lawns before the summertime hits and avoid an uneeded headache in this world, I advise looking else where for your seed and gardening needs.

If I could give this company zero…

If I could give this company zero stars, I would. I placed a large order a month ago. The shipping label was created 5 days later, but then it never shipped. I reached out, and got an initial response saying that there are lots of shipments and they take awhile to process. Now, a month after my initial order, there has been no movement on shipping, and no one will respond to my emails. Avoid Earthwise like the plague!

Avoid! They take your money.

I made an order, and they charged my credit card. Four days later they created a UPS shipping label, but UPS has not received the product more than 2 weeks past the estimated DELIVERY date.

They answered one email saying either they were ready to ship immediately or UPS already had it. Now not responding. They don't answer their phones.

Avoid!

Earthwise is a scam

It's been 2 months and 3 emails asking for a refund. I still have no seeds or a refund. Earthwise seed sent a email saying package on the way, when I log onto ups
tracking it says label has been created no package received. It sure seems like Earthwise is a scam.

Never received

Never received.
Ordered on 4/13. 4/24 i ask about when i would recieve order. I get an email back saying its already been picked up and awaiting scan. 4/27 still no movement so emailed again. Still saying UPS hasnt scanned it. i work with UPS every day, it doesnt take that long for packages to be scanned in. I finally disputed with my bank on 5/5 since the trackin number still showed no movement.

dont purchase from them unless you want your money stolen.

Do not bother

I placed an order on March 27th and paid for 2-day shipping. I didn’t receive any shipping update until April 16th, and even then the tracking only showed “label created” with no actual movement.

I waited nearly a week before reaching out, and when I did, I received a vague response about bulk shipping and system upgrades, but no real confirmation that my package had actually been handed to a carrier.

After more time passed with no tracking updates, I followed up again and was told my order would be “pushed through again,” which suggested it hadn’t actually shipped in the first place.

Save yourself the headache and money and just go to a local farm store.

7 week delivery time. Lack of professional communication

I ordered and paid for this product on March 12 2026. I had not received it as of today (4/29/2026)

I received no notification that the order was delayed. When I spoke with a male at this company on 4/20/2026, he said there were product and shipment delays but it was sent out that day.
When I tried to track it, the original tracking links “expired” and there were no shipping updates or new links.

I called on 4/27/2026 and left a voicemail. No one returned that call or sent a message by 4/29/2026

I called on 4/29/2026 to finally request a refund. The man I spoke with said his name was Tom. Almost immediately, he began talking over me, interrupting me, and raising his voice. He said the item was arriving today (4/29) and he didn’t know why I was calling. I tried to tell him about the expired links, lack of a call back or a message, etc.
After the call, someone named Jim sent me a tracking link. It was noted that the item was not shipped on 4/20/2026 —it was shipped 4/28.

I don’t know how their actual product is, but I’d not purchase from this company again, just based on their customer nonservice and inability to communicate in a professional and respectful manner. I’m sorry I didn’t read the reviews first.

No communication, and hard to distinguish from scams

I placed the order at the end of March, and allowed for a little over 2 weeks for the shipment to go out given that they say they usually ship in 2-3 days but to allow for 10 days during the busy season. By mid April, there was no indication on their site that my items were shipping, so I attempted to call them (no answer), and wrote an email to the address provided on their website inquiring about shipping, and asking them to cancel the order if it would not ship out by a certain date, since I saw all the complaints online about them. I never received a reply from them, so I eventually disputed the charge with my credit card company. Then all of a sudden, like many others report, I received an auto-generated shipping update email, with another email from UPS claiming my shipment would be received the following day (overnight shipping). I did not receive the shipment the following day (the UPS tracker showed only that a label was created and said they did not receive the package yet). I wrote to them to cancel the shipment/order again but never heard back from them. Then for some reason the company shipped the item about 2 weeks after they created the shipping label (and after the chargeback processed).

I honestly would not have minded waiting a while for the shipment, if I had been informed at any point of how long it would actually have taken and have been given options on how to proceed. I agree with others who say that it seems like something is wrong if they take your money immediately upon ordering (including payment for shipping!) and then leave you hanging, wondering if you will ever get your items. At this point, the company has lost trust with me and I wouldn't want to use their products at all, as I feel I have been lied to (from their website, their delay tactic of creating a shipping label well before they were ready to ship anything and only when a credit card dispute started, and from their replies to some complaints variously reporting that they're only behind because they exploded in popularity vs. they're all caught up vs. they want to resolve things if you'll just reach out to them by email or phone).

Order never arrived, UPS didnt receive.

Ordered. Never received product. UPS says label created, but they never received the product. SHOP says the product was delivered. There aren't delivery thefts from my house. Called customer service twice, no answer, no return call. Finally, I googled the company name and delivery issues. My exact situation was reported by many customers. I am now disputing chatges. Waste of time and dissapointing.

Stay away from this company

Stay away from this company. As others have said, shipping and customer service are a joke. I received a shipping confirmation within a week of ordering, but it never moved off label created. When I contacted support, they claimed it had been picked up, but UPS was behind.

After waiting another week, I replied to email, knowing that UPS would never take two weeks to process a package. I got a response saying, "Good news: my order was about to ship, and I would get a tracking number soon." Huh? Either they lied the first time or the second, neither is acceptable.

As others have said, unlike most companies, they charge your credit card at the time of order, not when they ship. This company is a borderline scam, I'm not interested in loaning them money for two months.
