Well I've had their premium service foe a few years
Then they changed to a paid service 60.00 life time
a year and a half after that, they changed software
again want another payment so much for life time

Without the premium version, nothing works at all. When you purchase the premium version, there is no indication of how long it lasts, and from one day to the next, the software automatically updates itself and asks you to purchase it again.
If you try to keep using the old version with your license key, you are redirected to the website to download it. You download it, enter the key, and it still does not work.
Even with the “premium” version, issues are constant: continuous pop-ups advertising their other software, and songs that still cannot be downloaded from YouTube due to unexplained “errors”.
Overall, a very frustrating and misleading experience.

No nonsense, your team just get on with it. I have been lucky to have Anna & Alexis replying to the occasional query - which to them is day-to-day stuff, but for Mr Normal Person it can be a CRISIS! Well done to you all, very professional. Rgds, AB, Norfolk, UK.

I bought a license for the downloader app in December and now, a few weeks later wish I hadn't the app says I need to pay again. Customer support is a maze of irrelevant web pages, dead ends, apparently trying to divert me from any solution. Feels like a rip-off and I would advise anyone considering DVDSoft to look elsewhere.

Had trouble with the older versions. After Software updating, new License-Keys were recommended. But after contacting Support, the "old" License-Keys were unlocked and working fine. New Software Version are working fine too. Customer happy :-)

one Hint: That bought License Keys have to be unlocked for using with actual Version, a small note would be very helpful. And nobody must go mad or get an heart attack ;-)

purchased this software Nov 12, 2025 with life time subscription and I've had it just a little over 2 months and now there telling me this software is outdated!! and you need to purchase new software it would have been nice if customer service would have let me know this before I purchased this soon to be outdated software! all I can say buyer's beware!! maybe the next sucker will have better luck than this sucker did!!!

Bought a LIFETIME licence for YT downloader 2024 in December 2024, it had it's fair share of ups and downs, it would sometimes not work for days but they would always update it to fix youtubes changes. This week, around 29th Jan 2026 I wanted to use it and an update pushed through and thereafter asked me to reactivate...nope it would not reactivate basically they are done with V2024 and no longer pushing updates for it and now I must purchase V2026, or they say i can download old version but they are not updating it anymore. Pretty useless as it cannot be used anymore. Will not buy another product from them, there are alternatives.

I suspect this is a complicated program that is subject to glitches upon updates. HOWEVER the techs at DVDVideoSoft were responsive and resolved the problem quickly. AND they provided email communication.

Sold me a LIFE TIME premium version, only to not allow me to use my License 6 months later on their new automatically installed software. HACKS

I've been using the utility suite for years. It's a great set of tools for downloading and converting audio and video files. Recently I had an issue as I was setting up a new computer. I have the Premium license. I deactivated/uninstalled the program from my old computer and installed it on my new one. The activation key did not work. I contacted Support and they were very responsive and quickly solved my problem. Outstanding customer support compared to a lot of other companies out there.

Premium life member. Had no issues with downloading songs from YT and no issues with the application for FIVE years since 2020. Until 2025 when they CONSTANTLY updated, for worse. Constant crashes, won't open, won't download and NOW they made it that there's no picture with your downloaded songs and it's a separate file! Talk about stupid. Had to email them OVER A DOZEN TIMES. Fed up with this You Tube to MP3 converter. VERY DISAPPOINTED and FRUSTRATED. Staff won't answer specific questions and never explain anything- just repeat the same instructions.

All they do is give the exact same advice each time and don't care that the "Unactivated version" gets downloaded each time- WHEN IM A "LIFETIME PAID PREMIUM MEMBER." I've constantly had to email them back and forth. STILL CANT DOWNLOAD SONGS AFTER MORE THAN 6 MONTHS! It's now May 2026!

I had just renewed my Premium membership.
Admittedly I hadn't used the software for a few months, so clearly the latest Version had changed the download process, albeit slightly but enough for me to think there was an issue.
So having scoured the FAQ's and not found a solution, I sent a request for help.
The response (from Alexis) was received in just over 12 hrs which I thought was very impressive.
Alexis provided the info I needed to get downloading again. Problem solved.

Hello guys at DVDVideoSoft, could you please get in touch with me about some problems I am having with the YouTube downloader. I guess this is more an issue with YouTube's ever changing API and cat-mouse game against downloaders but here's my issue:

Almost every playlist over 20 songs I try to download, stalls around halfway. No progress is made after that point. Switching off my VPN, logging into my Google account through your app, or even rotating my IP to a different one doesn't work. In addition to that, I end up with a lot of m4a files even though I always choose mp3 in the app.

Previously I was using a piece of software from your competitors, which almost never had any problems downloading large playlists (4k's software packages).

I am quite underwhelmed and regret purchasing a license to DVDVideoSoft YouTube to mp3 converter, as it hardly ever does the job it promises to do. I get dozens of half finished downloads and duplicate files, so the overall experience is aweful. After trying 4k, ByClick etc. all competitors seem to perform much better than your software, but now I bought yours....

Several days ago, I encountered a problem with my software "Free Youtube Download". It wasn't possible to load my files above a 360P quality.
So, I contacted the support team which helped me very quickly with effectiveness.
Following their instruction, I installed the latest version, and now, I can load my files in 2160P format !
A support team we'd like to encounter more often on other sites !
