ALBA bag, I actually wrote. PU leather, polyurethane leather. I sent photos of my constructed bag, it was well constructed I am a professional sewer. Your comments are exceptionally disrespectful
Alda bag. The kit looked lovely, in reality it is inferior pu leather and doesn't actually look like dunelaces promo photos. I nearly lost the bag containing my phone, purse and medication because of the inferior ball stud hardware on the bag. The shoulder strap was too thin to stay in the studs. Yes I have disputed this, the reply was how long I had had it and also I had constructed it. I hardly leave my house because of my health and I was basically told I had constructed it and I had too long for a refund. That is why they "sell" the warranty. They offered to find a solution to "my" problem. The only problem was the over priced craft item that is sold at an inflated price. Do not waste your money

Just to clarify first: we do not have an Alda bag in our collection — you are maybe referring to the Alba bag ?
We’re truly sorry to read about your disappointment and the situation you describe. The Alba bag is made in PU (not leather), which is clearly stated on our product pages. That said, we understand that the result may not have matched your expectations compared to the photos, and we’re sorry this led to frustration.
Regarding the hardware and strap, this is not feedback we commonly receive, but we do take it seriously. When a bag is assembled, its use and durability depend on how it is put together, which is why we ask questions about usage time and assembly when a claim is made. This applies equally to all customers.
The optional warranty exists precisely to cover this type of situation over time, but even without it, we never dismiss concerns lightly. That’s why we offered to look for a solution together rather than ignoring the issue.
We regret that this experience left you with a negative impression, and we’re sorry it did not meet your needs. Thank you for sharing your feedback.

Cheap overpriced from China
Delivery took a long time as item came from China. I was told there would be an item as a gesture of good faith in the package as an apology. There wasn't.
The bag material was cheap. Not real leather and too expensive for what it should have been. I returned the package and was told I would get my delivery refunded as a gesture of good faith. I didn't. I also had to chase my money on multiple occasions. Really wouldn't recommend.

Best client treatment
My first order got lost (the delivery guy never came), so I contacted Dunelace and they were so willing to help. I felt so understood, they cared a lot for me and gave me lot of flexibility. The way they treat their clients is amazing. Finally, I got my order in time (as it was a Christmas present). And just need to say the quality of the product, and the treatment I got, were so great.

Avoid Bridget Bag
I purchased a Bridget DIY bag for my wife at Christmas. She made it a few weeks ago and has used it about 5 times. The material at both buckles has now snapped where they are stitched to the top. I spoke to Dunelace and they asked if I took a warranty out when I purchased!! I appreciate that my purchase was 8 months ago but the bag was only made by my wife in July and used 5 times.
They won't replace the parts so there is little I can do but AVOID the Bridget DIY bag as I can't see any of the buckles lasting more than a few weeks.

I would give no stars if possible
I would give no stars if possible. My daughters bag handle broke after 8 months and considering the Consumer Credit Act 2015 covers me for 6 years this company refuses to help me out by either repairing, replacing or part refunding. I have emailed and am told that after 6 months they won’t help me.

I made two Cecile bags
I made two Cecile bags, one in pale green and one in taupe. I followed the video instructions, which were step by step, so I could pause the video when I needed it. I had great fun! I loved seeing the bag s come together, and I felt great satisfaction in my results! I didn't think I could do it, but I did and loved it :) Im now looking to choose another model, probably the Alba. It took me a couple of afternoons, and it was time well spent,listening to music and happily sewing ( mind you, I have no sewing experience). Highly recommended!

Cambridge bag- good quality
Cambridge bag- good quality. Instructions only on YouTube so a bit harder to follow to start but please with the result. Been using bag for a few months and still going strong. Love the colour( pale blue) too.

No refund and additional custom taxes
I ordered a DIY Bridget Sewing Kit in October 2024. The website stated that the shipment would be sent from within the EU. However, when the package arrived in Portugal, I was informed that I needed to pay an additional €17 in customs taxes. I decided to return the package and requested a refund. I was told that the refund would be processed once the package arrived back in China. It has now been several months, and I have still not received the refund.

Never ordering again
Horrible company! I ordered a bag in October 2024, it was supposed to be delivered on October 30th at my neighbor's place but they hadn't received anything. Which is strange because it was signed for. After getting in contact with the delivery company, it was determined that the delivery guy gave false information and forged a signature. Therefore, I had proof that the package wasn't delivered. When I went back to Dunelace (two weeks ago) to tell them this (after MONTHS of going back and forth through email) they flat out told me to still check at my neighbors or around the house. Even though I had PROOF that it wasn't delivered. They still REFUSE to return my money. Absolutely insane way to handle customer complaints, never ordering again.
I guess one star because they do reply quickly to your emails.
