My initial review was that the sizing of the jacket was bigger than usual as it was baggy on me despite being the same L size all my jackets/tops are. Dubarry contacted me and offered either a refund or replacement. Great service and a great jacket.

Bought my Wexford Boots just over 2 years ago. Absolutely love them and walk my dog on Dartmoor in them nearly every weekend. However one started leaking a couple of weeks ago. Took them back to the shop in York Square London and I have to say the Customer service was excellent from Floarea. Even though the boots were out of warranty they were still replaced. Couldn't recommend enough.

I bought a pair of Sligo’s in 2018 as i was going through wellies frequently. Absolutely loved the boots, comfortable & perfect for winter dg walking in wet, muddy conditions. However, i had to have both zips replaced in short succession 2 years later & one of the zips has gone again today. Very disappointing & although the boots are sturdy, i’ve nearly paid for another pair in zip replacements within 5 years!!

I bought a pair of Dubarry mens sailing boots, which lasted for 3 years before the soles fell off. I sent them away to be repaired which cost another £100 and they came back looking like they had 1inch bumper welded around the bottom of the boot, yep really ugly. Because me and these boots had become old friends I was going to put up with it. My next big adventure was a world famous sailing race, which was a pretty rough start! Within 24 hours my boots were leaking and gaps starting to appear around the repaired sole.
The lady at the repair dept was super helpful and gave me a refund, but the point is they just don't make em like they used to and the 10 year claim is to be treated as a long lost legend.
I wrote to Dubarry twice to see what their view was and those emails fell into a black hole.
So if you want a set of sailing boots that will last and if they don't, an organisation that is going to get back to you then, Dubarry is sadly not for you.
Update 24/12/23
Dubarry got in touch! They apologised for the radio silence saying that they would look into why the emails had not been seen. Better still they replaced my old best friends with some new ones, which was amazing especially as I have a few big offshore events in the very near future. Thank you Dubarry :)

Just wow! What incredible and impeccable customer service from a truly dedicated and passionate team who are fully invested in their brand and the quality and longevity of their products.
I had reason to contact Dubarry about my beloved Galway boots. My enquiry was handled by Donna and she was so personable, thorough, and helpful. Her communication was detailed and continuous and she kept me up-to-date at every step.
I can honestly say that it is rare to receive such superior and outstanding customer service. Dubarry have gone above and beyond and truly exceeded all my expectations. In this day and age when other companies have reverted to faceless automation, it was a joy to deal directly with a human being who is so efficient and knowledgeable and dealt with everything in record time. There are no irritating bots, or automation at Dubarry customer service. It is a very human and compassionate department which operates at a slick pace and is fully invested in its customers' satisfaction.
Absolutely first class customer service. Don't hesitate to approach Dubarry directly.

On the 13th November I contacted Dubarry Customer Services by email regarding a fault that had developed on a pair of Dubarry boots. I was very promptly contacted by Amber in Customer Services who sent me a very kind and understanding response. I was asked to return the boots and was taken through the process of the returns procedure which I carried out straight away. Amber was very sympathetic and apologetic and explained everything very clearly.
I was told that on arrival they would be examine the boots and confirm a replacement.
On their arrival at Dubarry warehouse I was kept in touch by Amber and was informed that they would send out a replacement. Again, Amber was so very kind and understanding.
The boots that I had returned had been discontinued in the colour of my boots but I was offered the same style of boot in a similar colour to be sent out to see if I liked them. They arrived very quickly and I am delighted with them.
I was very impressed by the customer care I received from Amber.
I was kept in touch by Amber at every stage and received the best customer service that anyone could have.
I couldn't have asked for any more. Amber was so kind and understanding.
Based on my experience I believe that Dubarry as a company clearly have customer service at the heart of their business.

I had the pleasure of encountering Dubarry customer service after I invested in a pair of boots, which unfortunately did not work for me and I suffered blisters. I purchased foot beds from Dubarry to help fix the boot fit, but they didn't work for me.
I reached out to customer service and experienced the best customer service of my life. My boots were sent over to Ireland for inspection by quality teams and a replacement boot has been offered and accepted.
I was assisted by the most wonderful professional named Amber, who was a patient angel with my issue and ensured I had picked the correct size and style as my replacement.
I cannot emphasise how professional, thorough and efficient the teams at Dubarry are, and how committed Dubarry is to customer satisfaction. I will be a life-long returning customer as their company values and products are set at the highest of standards.
Thank you!

I had a problem with my Dubarry leather colour restorer and the local supplier, where I purchased the item refused to replace it for me. I contacted Dubarry, explained the problem and they sent a replacement pot which arrived the following day. Such good customer service, thank you.

I contacted Noel, at Dubarry, to see if he could help me as my boot zip had broken.
I didn't expect too much as I'd had my boots for 20 months.
I couldn't have been more wrong. I was offered a replacement pair of boots of my choice, told the calf measurements, and chose the Wexford to suit my calf size.
I was messages by Donna and Amber regularly with updates. As soon as my boots arrived at their depot (free post), I was sent a replacement pair of boots which arrived 2 days later.
I have never had such amazing customer service and it was a very pleasant change
Thank you again

Recently bought the Bray ankle boot - wore them out last night, a little snug on my little toes, but stylish and mostly comfortable (half hour walk to town and half hour walk back, so started breaking them in at least!). They look really smart and feel great quality! Have another pair of Dubarry boots which I’ve worn for about 5 years and although they’ve obviously been worn, with a clean and condition when needed, they should last many many years and they’re really comfortable.
Only downside - Dubarry use DPD for delivery, and they’re only going downhill as a delivery company.

I ordered the boots online easily and they arrived very quickly. Thank you

I bought a pair of Dubarry sailing boots 7years ago, wore them 4 times (soles like new), had them stored in my bedroom, then the soles fell off the first time I used them again. Dubarry referred me to their boot repair company. Cost £130 plus postage to fix. I’d not expect such expensive boots to fall apart like this and then be expected to fit the bill no matter if they were 7 years old

I am now on my second pair of boots within 6 months, both pairs have broken so I am awaiting my third pair
If I could have a refund I would
The seller has told me my third pair will be fine because Dubarry have improved the design
The fault that keeps occuring is the brass eyelets for the laces keep falling off
Both pairs were worn no more than 3-4 times so I am shocked at how poor quality these boots have been
Lets hope I am being told the truth about the boots being upgraded
For the price of these boots its really terrible that they keep breaking
My last pair was sent back to the seller last week, I asked yesterday where my replacements were and they said they hadn't received my boots. So checking the tracking apparently they were returned last Friday! Funnily enough apparently my boots arrived yesterday after checking. I was offered a different colour and said no, so my replacements will be next week - apparently Dubarry will sheep to the seller and they will then ship to me its so annoying

I have now owned 2 pairs of Dubarry boots, different designs. Although they are really comfortable and I like the way they look, the maximum life I've managed to get out of these boots is 2 years, after which they leak water. I spoke to Dubarry and the response was that they are outside of warranty and when the waterproof lining fails (as it did on both pairs of boots) they cannot be repaired. If Dubarry are so sure their boots can last up to 10 years then how about a 5 year guarantee? The facts are that they know the boots don't last. It's a shame really, just be aware of this if you decide to buy

Wonderful advice from Dubarry Team. I was surprised to learn the age of my boots!
The leather is still in such good condition, even after 12 years but the soles are worn. I have the option to get a new sole for my old boots or buy new boots .....Perhaps both! Thanks Dubarry

This is an update: Customer service reached out to me and the issue has been resolved to my complete satisfaction.
Terrible, Terrible customer service and product!
With bad weather around the corner in the Northeast USA I would love to use my Dubarry boots, but sadly cannot because the sole completely fell off! See my review below.
Dubarry should stand behind their product and replace these boots. I bought them in 2009 (cannot find my receipt as I never thought I'd have to prove when I bought them!) but Dubarry insists my boots are pre-2006! This means that they had a serious distribution issue in the USA when they first marketed these boots here and hence sold me 3+ year old boots . The boots most likely sat in a non climate controlled warehouse which weakened the boots before I even purchased them.
They offered me a discount on a new pair of boots which is completely unsatisfactory. On top of that they mentioned I shouldn't expect more than 5-6 years of life from them. Ridiculous, considering the price of the boots.
Again, my boots were kept in pristine condition. If these boots cannot withstand New Jersey then how could they ever hold up to the weather extremes in Ireland?!
I want Dubarry to make this right and either replace these boots or fix them.
Original review: I bought a pair of tall Galway boots around 2009/2010. Probably was one of their first US customers. I wore them a few times a year taking care to properly treat them and store them when not worn. Early winter 2023 the soles completely crumbled and fell apart. I brought them to my cobbler who agreed that something like that never should have happened especially given the fantastic condition I kept the boots in. I contacted Dubarry in the hopes that they would stand behind their product and replace the boots (apparently the way the sole is molded it cannot be repaired). They refused to replace the boots. They offered a discount on a new pair of boots and told me I should not expect them to last beyond 5-6 years. I am completely unsatisfied with that response. I paid $500 for a pair of boots that are marketed to withstand the test of time. I am so disappointed in this brand.

I was one of the early customers who purchased a pair of Fastnet Dubarry sailing boots. Unfortunately, I have experienced repeated issues with the boots since then. I have already had them exchanged twice, and each time, I was asked to keep their emails for future leakage problems. I appreciate their service, but unfortunately, it has not resolved the issue. On the third exchange, I received a message stating that they could no longer provide a warranty as the boots were no longer covered by it. The third pair of boots is only a year old and has been used 15 times.
Regrettably, it should be noted that it's not just my own pair that has been exchanged, but also my wife's and one of my good sailing friend's pairs. So now we'll have to see when they also experience problems again with their exchanged pairs.
I am disappointed with Dubarry's handling of the situation. In Denmark, a new warranty is usually offered when you receive an item in exchange, but unfortunately, this is not the case with Dubarry. Furthermore, I have noticed that the Fastnet Dubarry sailing boots have also been discontinued from Dubarry's range. This raises questions - why is this the case?
I was offered a 20% discount on a new pair of boots by Dubarry, but even with this discount, the price is equivalent to the regular discounted price for the same boots in Denmark. For these reasons, I will unfortunately no longer purchase boots from Dubarry. I hope this review provides insight into my perception of their customer service. I also note that I am not the only one on Trustpilot who has experienced challenges with their service.
It is with these experiences in mind that I share this review. I wish to provide a realistic insight into our experiences with the product and the subsequent customer service. My review of Trustpilot reviews suggests that our challenges are not unique. I hope that future buyers will consider this review when contemplating a purchase from Dubarry.
