I would not recommend this company. We were messed about on a major house renovation resulting in a 5 week delay to the project. The gentleman promised drawings 'by Friday'. They didn't arrive. On Monday I chased and was told he had gone on three weeks holiday and had not handed over to a colleague.

We did manage to get a colleague to take a look at the project. The colleague recommended a completely different inappropriate solution which would have totally ruined the aesthetics of the project.

When the first guy returned from holiday he eventually picked the project back up, after being chased, and just brushed everything off like nothing had happened. He did the drawings and the project moved forward, 5 weeks late.

His one concession was not to worry about paying immediately, they would work it out their side and requote due to the inconvenience. We waited a few weeks then a surprise email landed saying if we don't pay in 7 days further action would be taken.

Unacceptable behaviours at every level of this company. Avoid.

From the minute I rang the company to to when I concluded my business the service I thought was great. I didn't have any knowledge regarding my extension and other works but they guided me through the process and it was simple and hassle free.

I am giving (DSA) David Smith Associates one start. My reason they failed to contact me within reasonable request(s) concerning the quote they supplied me via email. I have personally contacted them via phone, and Facebook. I have been given the run around. For example- Not in this morning, Is in a meeting, Is not available, No answer, Will call you back in 30min at your number you supplied. Frankly if this is customer service, I would suspect the same for my structural drawings, which I will need ASAP for my project.

Update: 30/6/22 DSA has sent an apologetic email. However, it reads and feels as; How dare you (from my perspective). Next, I would like to clarify that I received DSA quote from my partner, via email on the 23/6/22, but the quote was dated 29/6/22; meaning the quote was sent out day or days earlier to my partner. After reviewing the apology letter in further detail; after working all day! I will not be removing this post. I will admit that I and my partner over lunch, might re-consider to use the services of DSA as we are on a time frame. But this is now unlikely.

Don't use this company for any services, the level of incompetence is beyond belief. They operate with a discriminatory policy and are corrupt. After working on my home for 20 months was left us with a damaged home. I would give zero stars if it was possible. They did everything in their powers to contribute to further damages to my home, then when questioned they would lie and ignore any requests for help. All solutions provided and put in place never worked. Please avoid this company or you will regret it.

We unfortunately have never been to DSA Group before which is such a shame because the service we have received has been outstanding. We went to the Tinsley, Sheffield branch and Jason was fantastic. He was really helpful and kept me informed throughout. Also the engineer came to speak to me when I dropped the van off, that has never happened before. Fantastic service, I will be using this company for all my vehicles from now on.

Employed DSA to undertake some Civil and Structural work at my property. I was happy with the service provided. I would definitely recommend.

Fantastic Company would 100% recommend them.

Proceed with caution - field associates are equipped with every trick in the book to increase fees including charging £120 for responding to customer clarifications of their bill.

My job quadrupled in cost and the business maintains an aggressive commercial stance which many homeowners investigating options for internal structural change may find very distressing.

Update: having then used an alternative surveyor they concluded the job quickly and exactly to agreed budget with a simple and effective design- compare to the drawn out, massively overpriced and incorrect conclusions we received from DSA.
