The main reason for my high score is the outstanding quality of care I received. The entire process was smooth, efficient, and very well organized. The therapist was extremely professional, knowledgeable, and genuinely caring, which made me feel safe and confident throughout the treatment. Everything exceeded my expectations, and I would absolutely recommend Dansk Sundhedssikring without hesitation.

Poor transparency and outdated communication leads to debt collection

UPDATE: Following this review, Dansk Sundhedssikring reached out and agreed to refund the collection fees and interest as an "exceptional gesture." While I appreciate the refund, the underlying issue remains: their customer portal still does not show payment balances, and they do not use official channels like e-boks for debt warnings. I am glad they settled this, but I shouldn't have had to post a public complaint to get a fair response. I've updated my rating to reflect their willingness to fix the mistake, but my warning about their billing transparency stands.

I am deeply disappointed with Dansk Sundhedssikring's billing practices. After adding my spouse to my policy, I was never notified of outstanding payments via e-boks, their own customer portal, or by phone.

Instead, they sent only two private emails before escalating the case to Collectia. This is poor practice in a country where official digital communication is the standard.
To make matters worse, their customer portal - which I used regularly - is intentionally not transparent and does not show outstanding balances.
In a modern Danish digital ecosystem, relying on easily-missed private emails while hiding debt from the user portal feels less like an oversight and more like a deliberate strategy to collect late fees. They have the data to send an SMS or an e-boks notification, but they choose the path that leads to debt collection
By the time I realized these emails had been missed, the case was already with debt collectors, incurring heavy fees and interest. Furthermore, the coverage for the spouse add-on was extremely limited, only covering a very small network of practitioners. It is a very poor value for the money.

I expected a modern insurance company to provide better transparency and use official digital channels before resorting to debt collection.

Not the best Insurance. Far from.

Low coverage. Limited service providers. Arrogant phone support. Doing everything they can not to cover anything they can avoid, by any means and with any possible excuses.

Thief's Thief's Thief's.The insurance…

Thief's Thief's Thief's.The insurance per month is 224 kr.They sent to me for a month to pay 700.I had talk with them and they says coz is wrong.The second payment was 1500 kr for 2 months.They said coz is wrong and they will send another right payment.Now I recieve again to pay 700 for 2 months.This guys are Thief's and want money by force.I had talk with my lawyer and he said because they broke the agreement,the insurance payment have to stop in this moment not after 1 month. THE PAYMENT PER MONTH IS 224KR NOT 400,500KR MISTER THIEF'S!!!!! Be careful guy's with this shit company and Thief's from there!!!!The agreement stop on Monday 23:02:2026 when i had call you to cancel everything,not when you want!!!!! THIEF'S!!!!!

It's not a bad service they provide

It's not a bad service they provide, but I would suggest that Danske Sundhedssikring sign a small follow-up contract after the treatment with a therapist or clinic to contact the patient to follow up on improvements and development of the treatment process/result of the training program, etc. Thank you.

Bad and long process to make a claim

It's really annoying to submit a claim, it takes too long until you're able to actually book an appointment with a doctor.

With other providers making it easier, why would anyone go with this one?

Doctor reference for psychological help not accepted

So sad that my workplace had changed from Tryg to this health insurance provider. I had a reference from my GP for psychological help during some vulnerable time and they told me when I called to know what was the status of my case after some days claimed and no one had the respect to contact me and let me know about my claim and the person in charge to help me, just told me that they couldn’t help me because as for the questions they did to me they believed that I was ok enough and that they would not cover my claim. I am very sad for the lack of accountability from this insurance company and I hope for everyone there that your employer choose more wisely. I never had an issue of this magnitude with Tryg.

Quick answer, everything went smoothly

They answered quickly and agreed to go with the specialist that I had already booked close to my place. They have a payment agreement with them so I don't need to pay and send the invoice, they pay directly. Very satisfied, would recommend.

Doesn’t cover psychological help

Their insurance doesn’t cover psychologist sessions to treat mental health issues, they only refer you to an online video program (I can already get that from YouTube for 0kr?). Despite diagnosed with anxiety, depression, and stress, they don’t want to treat it because the root cause stems from before the insurance was started - NEWS FLASH!!! Most mental health issues don’t arrive in one day. Only reached out cause my work pays for this insurance. Can’t believe some people actually pay for this with their own money!!

No therapist close to my place.

No therapist close to my place.
The contact with the nurse was very nice, but the insurance doesn’t seem to have contracts with many therapists. Although I live closer to a bigger city I could only get therapy at the other side of it and well spend too much time driving forth and back.

Worst ever service

Their website is the worst I have ever seen, almost like they stopped developing it half way through. You are invited to add your children via the website, which I did, but it does not work. You cannot download your insurance policy either - it says it is not available. Unfortunately my pension provider uses them. You would not want to choose them by free will.
