Very Disappointed with Drive4Move Car Rental
I was very disappointed with my experience with Drive4Move. The rental voucher didn’t arrive until just two days before my trip, even though I had booked the car eight months in advance. We had our own excess insurance, but at the rental desk we were told that €2,400 would be frozen on our credit card unless we took their insurance, in which case only €400 would be frozen.
This information was on the voucher, but since it arrived so late, it was too late to request a higher credit limit on my card. My credit card limit was below the required €2,400, so we were basically forced to take their insurance.
While we were there, we saw another customer facing the exact same issue, which makes it feel like this is done on purpose – a way to trick customers into paying extra for their insurance.
Very poor experience, and I wouldn’t recommend this company.
