horrible experience. they send you a "guide" to absolve themselves of liability. do not vet nor even bother getting a CV from the candidates. they provide them zero training, integration or prep. the au pair they sent behaved like a 4th child. had zero actual experience and expected to be paid when she was being taken to run errands for her benefit. we lasted 1 week and wasted even more money. and when the candidate does not work out - they send you a few more unqualified people then say they've met their obligation. worst $2,200 I have ever spent.

We worked with Dream Nannies, UK, who have Australian branch. They helped us source an Au pair, the experience dealing with them was great and they were quite knowledgeable, informative and proactive throughout the process.

We had a real issue with the Au pair, who turned out to be good on paper and far from it in real life; some of the key issues about experience and competence could have been picked up through proper referencing process - ultimately we decided to move on and source UK based alternative following the difficult experience; however the agency ultimately were not willing to own up to the weak referencing process which could have addressed this matter, they also refused to own up financially (even in part) to the situation, considering the circumstances. It may have been an unlucky find for us however in experiencing other agencies, the referencing process was the weakest link.

I am sharing this for parents to be aware and ensure they learn from our lessons considering this could lead to stressful times whilst having to manage, ensure the children are catered for and keep busy work and life going.
