Abysmal STAY AWAY

it was, but apperently it's our fault for not checking the driver knows because apperenty they don't know the location.

We was calm on the phone till she cut us off, then I rang back explaining the situation to another operator who again cut us off, by this time we was angry and if it was girls on their own it would have been unprofessional to leave woman 10 miles from were they where staying. A big safety issue.

So we rang back again and the person didn't like that I swore, they left us stranded because of the DRIVERS mistake. I apologied for swearing and told them I was upset about the situation and asked to speak to the lady who rudely cut us off before and was told there was no one else to speak too which was a lie and to raise a complaint we'd have to email but was stranded. Another guy from the company came and picked up and we had to pay him for the journey it wasn't his fault but the pervious driver.

This company is shady and we will definitely not use them again!

1 Star is too much

1 Star is too much! We told them we had children coming home from an engagement party 48 hours in advance in the fleeting hope that would hold some form of clout,
They couldn’t care less!!! Left in cardiff, 45 mins later needing to get back to Newport and nobody is surprised!! Joke of a company without even including feedback on the phone conversations. Deleting the app, never going back,

Ruined my whole weekend. Worst taxi service I have ever used.

Over 40 mins late despite pre-paying, so I missed the last coach to London. Missed a really important party. Had to stay an extra night in Newport. Awful phone operating service to get through too - if they had just called me beforehand to tell me it would be late, then I could have re-arranged.

After 17 days their customer service team got back to me and said any time critical rides should be booked with 2 hours to spare. And that they had no legal obligation to be on time for pickups. They also claim no responsibility for informing customers that their rides will be late. Nice company.

Last Saturday we booked dragon taxis 2…

Last Saturday we booked dragon taxis 2 hours in advance for 11.15pm. We were still waiting until nearly midnight, and they did not show up. In the end we managed to get a lift with a friend. We will never use dragon again. They’ve got too big and it’s tricky to actually speak to a real person, press #1 etc. If you are female and on your own - NEVER use this taxi service! I won’t be using them again.

Not the best experience...

Yesterday we used Dragon taxis Cardiff. From the start when taxi arrived nobody jumped out from the car to help us with the bags just after 30 seconds driver jumped out and talked to us - what's up! Dragon taxis teach your drivers customer service too! Taxi job is not just driving its drivers attitude and customer service too!

One star because I can’t leave zero.
At 11 AM we booked Taxi and even ask them what time would be suitable for collection for a 750 train from Bridgend. They responded 7:15 PM and the taxi was booked for that time.
At 7:20 when we rang we were kept on hold for five minutes to be told they were very sorry lake but the trade for like 40 minutes like I couldn’t get a driver to cover the run. This was to catch a train home back to England But despite having stressed the importance of timings earlier in the day and their acceptance of the booking they still proved totally unable to complete a contract.
I wouldn’t trust this lot to sit the right way round on a toilet ! AVOID LIKE THE PLAGUE !,,,,,,,,

Birthday Celebrations in Cardiff. We used this company when we went to…

We used this company when we went to Hensol Castle from central Cardiff. I pre-booked the taxi a week before we left with Lee via email. Taxi was on time and lovely driver. We asked when we arrived if we should pre-book our return later as we were going for a meal at the Vineyard opposite the castle
He advised just to call and gave us a card. We called after our meal at to be told it would be 20-25 mins, but had to call back after 35 minutes and was told we hadn't booked. I had the call log on my phone, then was told we had to pay up front as out of area. I explained I wanted to pay cash as we had on the outbound, told pay by card to secure it then we can cancel the payment and I can pay cash. So after waiting an hour we finally got the taxi. Driver was so unfriendly and when we told him we would be paying cash, he insisted it had gone through on the payment. When we arrived back in Cardiff he called the office on my request, and the operator tole me the driver processed the payment in his car and the refund would take up to 10 days if I paid cash. I wasn't going to risk not getting the refund. I emailed Lee to follow up on this and he asked me to fill in the feedback form and it would be followed up and compensation given for the dreadful service. I did this, but 26 days on and still not heard from Dragon Taxis or Lee. This is not good enough when you trust a firm that prides itself on their customer service and the best in Cardiff.

Probably the worst taxi company in…

Probably the worst taxi company in Bridgend, maybe even South Wales. If you’re booking a taxi, make sure you book it a hour early because these cowboys are in a different time zone.. always an hour late at a minimum!
If you let them they will take you to ever street except your own to clock the meter up, finally crawling to your actual destination. It doesn’t end there though, the drivers very rarely go to spec savers because the meter can say one thing but they try and charge you something else.. yes you guessed, more than the actual fair!
If you are desperate enough to use these, give your head a wobble and start walking!
Avoid at all costs!

Very uncomfortable journey

Very uncomfortable journey - women alone please be cautious. Error with our journey when we booked through misunderstanding driver was vexatious and made us uncomfortable, he insisted we ring the office to update the price, we suggested his manner was overbearing and we felt uncomfortable, office couldn’t have cared less and simply hung up on us.
Please ladies take care book elsewhere if an option.

DO NOT USE!

DO NOT USE!

despite pre booking for a pick up for our wedding and pre paying. No taxi ever arrived.
Said they were running late, then 20 mins away, then 20 kins later told all the drivers finished 20 mins ago!!
Furious! They knew it was bride and groom as well. They are awful.
I will discourage anyone I speak to from using them.

I booked a taxi with Dragon Taxis and was let down

I booked a taxi on the Dragon Taxi app at 12.22pm on 30/7/22 for a local pick up 22.30 the same day. I received a confirmation text to confirm the booking. The taxi did not turn up at 22.30pm, I subsequently called 5 times between that time and was repeatedly told it will be 10/15 minutes. I then received a call at 12 midnight and was asked ‘where I was going to’??
My wife and I were therefore stranded for 1 hour 30minutes.
At this point I called another taxi company who came within 15 minutes.
What a shambles, totally unprofessional and I will never book with them again

Just had a taxi from ffynnon Wen Pub to…

Just had a taxi from ffynnon Wen Pub to Phoenix Way, birchgrove. I have used this company for over 15yrs...however its the most I've ever paid for this journey. Its a sunday at 6pm so obvs its a bit more, but it was £10.11. Normally around £7 or £8. When i questioned the driver i was told that the fares had changed a bit...apparently if the company is busy at the time, or they are short of drivers, then the fares go up ? Absolutely ridiculous. Surely it should just mean that the taxi will take longer to arrive..not put the extra charge on the customer. I wont use the company again.

Booked a taxi for 10.30 p.m

Booked a taxi for 10.30 p.m. Wednesday 20th July 2022 at the motorpoint arena 36 hours in advance.We left the concert early to ensure there were no mix ups but by 10.40 the taxi had still not arrived. I phoned Dragon only to be told they were running late but should be there shortly. By 10.50 there was still no sign of the taxi. What made it even more frustrating was by this time crowds were exiting the arena and catching taxis including - yes you've guessed it at least 3 Dragon taxis. I phoned again to be told that the driver was 2/3 minutes away dropping off a fare. After 5 minutes of trying to find out where the driver was I was eventually told he was 10 minutes away but would ring me when he was nearby. At this point we gave up and walked to an area where we caught another taxi. On arriving back at the hotel I received a text that our driver had arrived sometime after 11p.m. but we were not there. It is clear that when Dragon taxis take bookings there is no planning they simply hope they have a driver available at that time and I also suspect they overbook. Avoid at all costs if you want to get somewhere on time.

Don't bother

Booked a taxi 2 days in advance to pick up at 7pm only to be told at 7.05pm that no taxis were available and we would be waiting an un-determined amount of time until one would be sent on its way to us. Called to get an update 15 minutes later on the phone the taxi was booked on and ignored, rang on another phone and was answered straight away- clearly screening calls of customers they wish to avoid speaking to. Phone operator was helpful enough but I do not understand the point of offering a booking system when these bookings cannot be fulfilled. The possibility of this happening was not mentioned when booked. We ended up cancelling and driving ourselves. We also decided to cancel the the return trip and booked with Premier instead who were on time, professional and super friendly.

Don’t waste your time!

Despite having an app you can book through which takes a pre payment upfront when a booking is confirmed, having a car actually arrive is hit or miss! Tonight I pre booked a taxi 1 week in advance of dinner plans. When the time arrive for the taxi to collect us, I was informed the taxi was 30 mins away! Completely unacceptable!

And I also pre booked a taxi to collect us from dinner at 11pm. No car on the system or any that arrived so again, left stranded!

Nonsense! The only reason they get away with still existing as a business is living in the back ar&e of nowhere in Wales, there isn’t much competition so they can continue being absolutely rubbish!

I won’t be ordering again!

Give Dragon Taxis a miss

Not the driver's fault. They are local taxi hired by the Morons who take the bookings.
We hired these people 6 weeks before a wedding to take and pick up 14 people. Fine going, however the return trip was booked for 11:30 p.m.
When midnight came and no taxi's we started phoning and were fobbed off with excuse after excuse.
The wedding venue was Lakeside weddings, a beautiful setting, run by wonderful people but in a very remote place. Dragon taxis knew exactly how remote the place is and that we had no choice but to wait for them. we had three young children with us. It had been a very hot day but by 1 o'clock in the morning we were all especially the children shivering. The people who run Lakeside -once they had cleared the venue-very kindly took us back to the hotel. At half past one and remember these taxis were booked for 11:30, we had a text to say one of the three taxis was in the way and would be with us in 20 minutes 2 1/2 hours late.
If it wasn't for the kindness of the owners of Lakeside, I don't know what would have happened. So thank you to them and a warning to you all to never book Dragon Taxis of Bridgend!!!!!!

Absolutely shocking company

Absolutely shocking company. I’ve used a dragon for many years and normally book via the app. Two trips that stand out. Yesterday I rang and booked a taxi from my home to Sainsburys no issues there apart from the app doesn’t recognise Sainsburys any more hence having to ring! Shopping done I rang again st 14.46 to get a taxi home. I had paid for my shopping so was literally walking out of the shop making the call. I was told approx ten minutes so when I saw two Dragon taxis with people getting in them I didn’t think anything of it. By 15.05 I was aching for standing so long (I’m disabled) so rang back. The girl in the phone said “Oh yes the taxi picked up another passenger instead of you”. I was speechless so asked why I wasn’t called and told there was no taxi coming - her delightful reply was “do you want me to book you another taxi or not”!!!! I ended the call and have deleted the app. Bye Dragon never again.
Two weeks ago same trip home to Sainsburys booked by phone told approx 10 minutes. I had the usual two rings on my phone to notify me the taxi had arrived so went outside no taxi. Waited and waited rang Dragon explained the situation to be told the driver was actually not even close to my house was at least another ten minutes away. The person on the phone said the driver had pressed the key too early. When he did arrive 20 minutes after he’d notified me he was outside the driver pulled up literally in the middle of the road not by the curb. It took me ages to get in and I told him he should have pulled up outside my house not in the middle of the road he could see I was struggling because it was a really high step up get in. He spoke hardly any English, didn’t have a clue where Sainsburys was so had to talk him thro it, there was no meter on display he only had his phone on the dash but that didn’t show me the fare. I had told the person when I booked to put it onto my card as normal. When we eventually got to the shop after he had driven at a snail pace and given way to every car I got out and said I was going to make a complaint and in broken English his reply was next time you book tell them you need a lower car!!!!!!!! I replied if you hadn’t stopped in the middle of the road there wouldn’t have been an issue. I rang Dragon immediately and the lady who took my call said she couldn’t do anything about it but logged I would need a saloon in future. Lost for words. After I’d finished and only because I don’t know any other taxi numbers I called for a taxi home. Whilst I was waiting I checked my bank and Dragon had taken £9 from my bank for a trip I hadn’t even started…… I told the driver when he came and he said it wasn’t right they shouldn’t have done that. My trip is always just over £4 most definitely not £9. Once again rang to complain. The people on the other end of the phone clearly don’t give a damn no apologies. I shouldn’t have given them another chance as my first story above says it all, however I’m a loyal customer but that’s it for me now. DON’T USE DRAGON TAXIS.
