My experience with this dental clinic has been extremely disappointing. I have been waiting over seven months for my aligners, and throughout this time, no one from the clinic contacted me with any updates. I had to constantly chase them for information, only to be met with vague answers or no response at all. I’ve paid a significant amount of money for a service that was promised but never delivered on time. The lack of communication and follow-up is incredibly unprofessional. I expected a basic level of customer care, especially when it comes to something as important (and costly) as dental treatment, but unfortunately, that was not the case.
I would not recommend this clinic to anyone looking for reliable, professional service. My experience has been nothing but frustrating and stressful.

First thing to say is DON'T DO THIS, PAY A REAL DOCTOR, NOT SOMETHINGS ONLINE so if you have problem you can just go and talk to them, whit doctor smile is a hell for communication, the second thing to say is that it didn't go well whit the first tratment, it did a lot less than I expected, basically the 3D video thay they send you are fake, it didn't go as planned, I had 12 invisible braces, at most up to the sixth they did somethubg, but from 6 to 12 they did almost nothing, I tought it was a scam and a waste of time so I contacted them and they gave me a second treatment, now iam following up whit a second tratment wich is free only if you have posted all the photos in your app. The problem is that the cost of the new 3D scansion and attachment and the following visit to the clinic it all comes from you pockets wich translates to at least 300€ more for a second tratment(scansion, attachment, maybe APR, and the removal of the attachment wich are paid separetly). And I had waited almost 3 months for the new kit of braces. Dr. Smile don't have a good customer service, AT LEAST they are answering the mails, for example iam waiting for a refund since February and they are still "processing" and the people at the custumer service are not italians so thei italian are pretty bad, at most 6/10, you need to repeat slowly to let them understand and theyr sistem are slow. In the end whit my plan+ all the visit from the first and second treatment O will pay over 4k, whit less than 3k you han have a normal braces and have a better result, I trusted them and iam not satisfied, in 1 week I will take the kit for the second treatment, wish me luck cause I FEAR A 3TH TREATMENT, wich means I will have braces for almost 2 years in total, well over the initial 6 months, and I don't even know if the 3th tratment is covered.. now they are whit Impress and they are a little better, iam hoping that this second treatment will go well, I repeat, if they want me to do a 3th tratment whit a new 3D scam I will talk to a lawyer, cause they are not doing their job well. I will update.

Having read some of these other poor 1 star reviews, and having had a similar experience myself I would warn anyone looking into Dr Smile to RUN away as fast as you can and not part with a single penny of your hard earned cash.

I was drawn in by clever (albeit pushy) marketing tactics and the hope of a quick, simple fix for crooked teeth. However, as I now know, simple and quick is an impossible and downright irresponsible promise when it comes to dental work.

I ended up stopping my treatment early due to new and painful bite issues and I am now out of pocket nearly €3500 with my teeth completely returned to how they started and new bite issues. The dentist that I was 'followed by' frankly couldn't give two shits and simply saw me as dollar signs.

This company needs to be stopped!

Don’t trust them
I went for the visit and the incompetent doctor was not able to complete the scan correctly
Dr Smile contacted me to say they would have reimbursed me the cost of the visit and I am waiting for more than a month, they stopped replying to emails and messages

Very very very negative experience, I paid 50€ as they said, if you are not eligible for invisilign treatment they refund you.
When the doctor check me, they said that my case needs other treatment and they asked for my bank details to refund me. ( that happened on August 2024) and now it is 21st of October, and no one replies to me.

Guys, if you wanna pay for them they are not trustworthy! Find a real clinic near your place is better than this scam !!!

It is easy and everything is on time without any delays and issues.

It has been overall an ok experience, but honestly, I would recommend people to choose a clinic and a proper orthodontist for this kind of treatment. Dr. Smile is a good concept and can work best for people who need really minor changes in their teething. However, if you feel like you need more assistance I would not opt for this service. Dr. Smile in overall from customer service side, works well, I would specially like to bring out Ilaria, who has been very good in assisting me in my questions. But at the same time it might happen that you end up in a loop, where noone is answering and you will be waiting for solutions for a long time. Moreover, while doing the dentist visits, it seemed like the dentists themselves did not put a lot of attention to what was happening or not happening with my teeth. They were just following what was written in the Dr. Smile app. But in a orthodontic case, I think it is very important that the dentist also looks and analyzes more carefully and in details - has everything changed as it should have, do we maybe need to change something more, to discuss moreover how would the patient like to continue after the treatment. Because for example at the very beginning you need to choose if later you would like to have the fixed metallic retainer or the removable retainers for night. Sine I had literally no idea, i chose the metallic ones. It actually came out after the treatment that in my personal case, it would be better to have one type of retainer up and other type lower jaw. But all that came out only in the end and only because I myself started to question and analyze. But I am not a dentist, so I dont think I should do these analyzes alone. So now I am stuck in a situation, where I have finished my treatment more than a month ago, and I am waiting for the final retainers still.

Overall, it is rather an expensive treatment, which is ok and I get it, but for this money I would like to have a more personal and detailed service. So now I have finished my treatment, the teeth are kind of ok, but at the same time I am not completely convinced.

I had my first appointment this morning and I must say that it was a lot easier than I had expected. The studio was clean, the staff professional and the appointment was quick but informative. I’m looking forward to the Dr Smole experience.

I rated 5 stars because so far I have been very happy with Dr. Smile; from the very first moment I was very well followed and all the operators I happened to talk to were always very helpful and answered my questions. The possibility of paying in installments is a big plus, and the value for money is also very high. Before Dr. Smile I had gone to a dentist and for the same treatment and he had proposed me twice the price; the cheapness of Dr. Smile lies in the fact that there is no dedicated dental office and the whole course of tooth refinement is autonomous (although they follow you remotely through the app and use back-up dental offices), the lower price does not affect instead the quality of the aligners, which are really low profile and very transparent. So far (I started treatment 3 months ago) I have always been fine, I only had to file one aligner, all the others were always adequate.
I have only encountered two inconsistencies/understandings:
1. At first I was told I would have to upload one photo per week for the satisfaction guarantee, after a while instead I was told one every two weeks. I am still not quite sure of the timeline so to be safe I am uploading one photo per week to the app
2. Included in my treatment is the retention wire. This arrives a few weeks/months after the start of treatment; the negative note was that from this point of view no one gave me more or less precise timelines, and I was afraid that the wire would never arrive, or that it had been lost. In the end, it arrived after 2 months from the start of treatment. Also, the referring dentist told me that usually you can only see if the wire is applicable on both dental arches at the end of the treatment, while I was guaranteed from the beginning by Dr. Smile that it will be able to be applied. I hope there are no unpleasant surprises at the end, as I have already paid for it.
Otherwise, overall, I think it's a really good company, I really started to see the results after about 2 months (out of 7 months of treatment) and it was a great excitement, I can't wait to see the final result; I feel I can recommend it
