Do not use this agency under any circumstances. Do not book through this broker. They are thieves.

They cancelled my booking because I arrived one hour late. The problem is that the name of the rental agency on my booking voucher was wrong, so we spent a long time trying to find the correct office.

Because of that delay, they cancelled my reservation with no possibility of a refund. I was left with no car and no solution.

This is completely unacceptable. They are thieves—there's no other word for it.

Avoid this broker at all costs. These are apparently common business practices for them, and they are well known for it. This was confirmed to me by other car rental agencies when I eventually rented a car elsewhere.

Stay away from them. I lost €700 because of them.

I made a reservation and it required credit card to collect the car but there wasn’t any information about that before the payment

Easy and quick

My flight Milan MPX-Palermo was canceled because of a strike in the airport. I bought another flight with another company and I immediately emailed and then called Doyouitaly to modify the time for a later pickup of my rented car. A customer support from Doyouitaly said that the rental agreement is not cancelable or modifiable, even if it's not the client's fault that a flight is canceled. They said I had to call the car rental company (I did, but they said I had to call Doyouitaly...) or deal with my flight company for a refund (no airline refunds other companies’ services if they cancel your flight), and Doyouitaly must know it but they just want to derail you to get away with your money. This company just doesn't offer any support and if you have a delay or a cancelation, even if it's not your fault, you waste your money, your time, and still have to book another car with another company. My advice is to avoid this company and reward companies that strive to offer a real customer service.

Fairly quick booking process that could cope with drop off being at a different location. Would have got five stars but for having to process my payment twice.

It was easy to book. We have used DoYouItaly many times in the past. Good price as well. Only thing is if I could use my family credit card for the deposit as I need to use mine for holiday.

We pre-booked and prepaid a rental car through DoYouItaly for Bologna Airport. On arrival, the supplier (ECH) refused to hand over the car. The only card instruction we were given was generic – "a credit card in the name of the main driver," including in their own "Don't forget" checklist. The fact that only Visa/Mastercard was accepted was not made clear before purchase. We had a credit card in the main driver's name but still got no car, and had to rent a more expensive replacement on the spot.

DoYouItaly refuses to refund, hiding behind "non-refundable" – a clause that applies to customer cancellations, not to the supplier failing to provide the service. No phone support, just a chatbot and slow email handling. We are now pursuing a chargeback through our bank. Would not recommend.

Update: As the reply states, yes the voucher which i received on the day of travel to italy (not day of booking) did include that they did not accept amex, however, the emails, the booking journey online did not do so clearly. 25 years of booking cars and this has not happen. Furthermore, as I did not in fact use the asset, I believe it makes sense to re-imburse for car not hired, and insurance not utilized.

Most importantly, check the tripadvisor reviews, if this many people is complaining (all 1 star) about the same thing, it is not a misstake, it is systematic.

This company is a con! Booked a car through DoyouItaly online with Addcar to collect at Naples airport. Unfortunately our flight was delayed over 2 hours due to thunderstorms & it took nearly 3 hours to clear immigration in the airport due to queues. We tried phoning Addcar on the number we were given but just kept getting a recorded message to say it was unavailable. We even asked an airport member of staff on the information desk to try for us & she got the same response. We were supposed to get a shuttle to their office from the airport but as we had no way of contacting them had to pay 40 euros for a taxi. On arrival at their office, we also spoke to another customer who was collecting a car & could not get through on the phone so had had to walk to their office. The Addcar guy told us as we were more than 2 hours late our contract had expired & if we wanted the car would have to pay nearly another 750 euros an absolute con! He was extremely rude to us & ignorant. We told him we had already fully paid for the car with upgraded insurance so any time lost for the car parked up due to us being late for circumstances out of our control had already been paid for by us so they were not out of pocket! He refused to let us have the car so we had to pay yet another 40 euros back to the station to get a car. This company are a disgrace book with someone reputable & read the reviews on Tripadvisor!

ABSOLUTE SCAM ARTISTS. Do not book through this company. I wish I would of read the reviews before ive made my booking arrived at calabria Airport and the company had all flight details supplied. The airport checks took over an hour before we managed to leave the security checks landed with a 10 month old son in +34c heat expecting to pay and collect the car and begin the journey to only being told that we have missed the pick up time and no money will be refunded absolute disgrace company took no ownership of anything and reqouted a car for additional €600 to the existing price. Whilst we were there other 3 travelers faced exactly the same issue avoid at all cost!! Scam artists
