Lost a phone in Newlands, Cape Town, I tried Dotblock a few hours later and they said it was in the sea off Hermanus (a 1.5hr drive east of Cape Town). Appears as though I have been scammed!!

Absolute disgrace. I had to check the location of my phone 3 times at a price of £10 per go. The location was static and wouldn’t reveal movement so I spent 30 quid to keep track of it. The third loca... See more

DON’T USE

DON’T USE, this is a total scam. They took my £10 then told me that my phone was at an address 8 mile away from where it actually was, in the door pocket of my wife’s car. As I said TOTAL SCAM.

ATTENTION TO ALL PEOPLE WHO HAVE USED…

ATTENTION TO ALL PEOPLE WHO HAVE USED DOTBLOCK!!!
I have heard a saying " one mans weakness is other mans strength" this implies correctly to Dotblock. Imagine you child has walked away from home without informing you and you rely on these providers to look for your child. We will end up losing all our money and getting no result. This happened to me . My daughter walked away and we literally chose to find her using dotblock. Early morning i paid £10 to track her and the postcode showed SE28. So i went there looking for her but could not find it. Later during the day i checked and showed she was in Victoria and later again in the evening i check 3 times and showed she was in huntington and in the mid of fields. We got very anxious and made our journey there. One hour later when we were nearing the spot we check again and it showed the location in purley croydon. We were very suprised and then i felt there was something wrong. Luckily while i was browsing i saw trust pilot review and was shocked . By now i lost £100 on this. When we came back home our daughter was at home. I immediately want Dotblock to refund my money back.

BUYER BEWARE, UNTRUSTWORTHY! Like many other reviews I lost my phone…

Like many other reviews I lost my phone and used the site three times to try and locate it. Each time if gave a different specific address in my locality, and I went and made enquiries at each of them. Eventually I found the phone in my car that had been on my driveway all the time. BUYER BEWARE, THIS SITE IS NOT TO BE TRUSTED AND IS A TOTAL SHAM. WHY IT IS ALLOWED TO TRADE I DO NOT KNOW. DO NOT USE!!!

DO NOT USE

DO NOT USE - Totally waste of time and money, I was told my phone was about 25 miles away at a private house and so I drove there only to be told they didn’t have my phone. 2 days later my phone was returned to me by a neighbour and it had never left my village !

great idea

great idea, but a good way to fleece people when they have lost their phone. Their tracking must work to the opposite location to where your lost phone is actually located. I found my phone but it was about 8 miles away from where this app was supposed to indicate where is was.

For want of the price of a cup of tea

For want of the price of a cup of tea dotblock scrubbed my server days after paying 90% of the bill.

I had been a customer of dotblock for over a decade. In December they put the price of the server up by $2.55 but did not update the direct debt, so when the December payment was due I was $2.55 short. I had paid enough of the bill the keep the server active until the middle of January, but before the year was out, dot block had terminated and SCRUBBED my server. I lost almost everything.

When I complained I was told they the "system" did it automatically. I was offered no compensation for my loss. Avoid these people aka hostrocket
