Disc Makers’ customer support team is excellent. Craig, Patricia, Matt and Dan are all thoroughly knowledgeable and helpful, and to me they’re the heart and soul of the company.
I would have given Disc Makers 5 stars for this project, except for the problems I encountered with the Sound Lab. As usual, I opted for their $200 “mastering tuneup.” On most of my projects, the first attempt they make at “tuning up” the mastering on my recordings is pretty disappointing. I’ll then tell them what’s specifically wrong with it and they fix it. This time, their first and second attempts were both bad, and when I still complained, they basically washed their hands of the project, saying “we weren’t on the same page” on the mastering. So I had to find someone else to finish mastering it, causing me a huge delay. I don’t want to get into a discussion/argument about this, but maybe somewhere in the Disc Makers’ website the company might elaborate on what specifically one can expect from the “mastering tuneup,” and from the Sound Lab in general. They seemed pretty dismissive to me. Bottom Line: I look forward to working with Disc Makers in the future, but I won’t work with the Sound Lab again.

There was an issue with my order that required a complete redo. I reached out to the team and asked that it be redone and rushed to me in a very short turnaround timeframe. The team got it all done and sent to me a day ahead of schedule! Aside from that greatness, the CD and artwork turned out EXACTLY how I designed it. My only complaint is the performance of your online designer tool. While I really like all of the features and options with the tool, it is extremely slow performing at times.
