Bad experience with scam listing and when reported there was no response from anyone at Direct Wonen. Also, a lot of the listings seem to be from a “rental estate agent” called Immovita, and when you react to a listing on this site, you get an automatic reply stating you need to sign up to their website for a fee of 28 euro, strangely enough I had paid this fee because I wanted to apply for an apartment directly, I did receive some communication with them but in the end they stating it was for students but did not state this anywhere on the advertisement (I assume another money grab for people looking for accommodation). When I responded to the message stating I had already paid this fee, I never received a response (money grab).
This website is a waste of time, and I am unsure how anyone finds accommodation through it. I would avoid it!

Sadly they are not worth paying your money to. Why have a site that does not respond or try to help the customers get a home that is shown on the website. It is quite bad and really needs improvement. At some point I really think it is a scam!

Don't spend your money for this website. Zero response and most of the appartments they offer are on different websites where you have to pay again. Worst thing is you don't get any reaction.

I paid for nothing. After one month, I still see rooms for rent, rooms that are rented already. I had much expactations but it was a mistake.
They will show you a room but they have nothing available.
Do not pay for this website, kamernet for example is much better you at least get a response.
There are offering you a service that they can´t give it to you.
Outdated ads, ZERO customer support, and automatic emails demanding money that has already been paid. The button to update my profile was broken, and they had nothing to advise but an obvious "change the browser" before going completely silent. The unsubscribe button for smart account was always either broken or otherwise not effective. I'm surprised their overall rating is not 1-2 stars, a total scam.

This website is a scam and don't subscribe to their smart account. I asked their support desk to cancel my subscription to which they replied they will but they still took out money from my account. I had to block them from the direct debit. Now they are threatening me with legal action and asking for 40 euros.
By far the worst customer experience I've ever had. going through the difficult apartment hunt in the Netherlands, a friend recommended this website since he used it years ago. I subscribed to a premium account, but found many issues with the basic services suuch as writing your bio, showing your monthly income etc. struggled for a month and a half to get a reply from anyone, but when I did they completely avoided my issue and simply replied to inform me of my subscription's duration. finally, after asking for a refund, they blocked my account, with no heads up. I did finally received my money back (without receiving any form of reply but you can't ask for to much can you). I filed a complaint to the Thuiswinkel which is probably why they ended up reacting.

Scam. Beware. They will let you sign up for a month trial. It feels clear and to the point. Meanwhile they'll just keep repeating the transaction. It's a small enough amount that you don't notice it at first but if you track it over time you can see that they can take hundreds of you over the space of months. Be very careful when signing up!

I've bought a Smart Account I was looking for a studio. I was getting 2-3 bedrooms offers. I canceled my account but the amount was still deducted from my account. I asked for refund but no one has replied to my email and no refund.

Unfortunately all the answers are delayed and either explain that the property is no longer available or redirect to other sites (also with subscription). Disturbing and looks like a scam that the respective anouncements remain posted on the site as available and not withupdated status “rented”, as it would be fair.
So even if I paid a 30 eur subscription for the services 10 days ago, there is absolutely no benefit for me as a user. So far, my personal experience with the quality of “direct wonen” is very disapointing… a waste of time&money.

I haven't even been picky: my budget was like 800€/month/person and 1000 for a studio, but NOTHING. 20€ completely wasted, they couldn't care less about tenants as long as they get rich on a useless website.
