Placed order 23 Dec 2024. Today is 16 Jan 2025. 3 weeks later and these guys did not both preparing my order nor dispatching it. AVOID!!! Order now cancelled, will wait for my refund or escape to my credit card company to file a chargeback if it comes to it.

I have a super strong prescription (-6.5 & -6.75) so my glasses are always a really expensive purchase, meaning for years I have had a pair that are too weak and been overusing contacts. I finally ordered the cheapest pair I could find from DS (£47.50 incl. ND Delivery), and I honestly couldn't be happier with them. They aren't super magnified giving me big bug eyes, only the sides are thick. I can see perfectly and they are secure on my face.
The next day delivery didn't actually come through and for a while I thought I was being scammed. However, I called around 3 business days after my delivery was supposed to arrive, and I got through quickly. They explained its due to my prescription and refunded £11 of the £19 delivery cost, and they were dispatched later that day, arriving the next day.
I never write reviews but for me this has been a life saver and I finally have a pair of glasses I don't mind wearing! It seems this is a small business making and shipping affordable glasses all over the UK. As long as you bear in mind the quality might not be high end, and the delivery times may vary, I would say it's well worth it for the price!!

I’ll just copy and paste my email because explains why I’m unhappy. It’s a shame because seems most people have great service.
I am writing to express my dissatisfaction with the service I have received regarding my recent order of prescription glasses. I placed the order on Thursday, 2nd January, making a conscious effort to do so early in the day to ensure next-day delivery, as I required the glasses urgently.
Later that day, I was glad to receive an email confirming my uploaded prescription and stating that my glasses had been manufactured and would be dispatched shortly for delivery on 3rd January. Relying on this confirmation, I anticipated receiving my glasses the following day, having placed the order before the specified cut-off time for next-day delivery.
However, both Friday and Saturday passed without the arrival of my glasses. I mention Saturday because, according to your website, deliveries are made from Monday to Saturday. It is now Friday, a full week and a day later, and I have yet to receive my glasses. This experience has been profoundly disappointing and has caused me considerable inconvenience.
Given the circumstances, I no longer wish to receive the glasses and request a full refund, including the amount paid for next-day delivery. I expect prompt attention to this matter and a swift resolution.
My daughter ordered two pairs of glasses at the beginning of 2024. The screws fell out of them, rendering them useless and she contacted Direct Sight asking for a replacement. This was provided and nothing was mentioned about returning the damaged items before a replacement would be provided.
Unfortunately the same thing eventually happened again and the screws fell out of the glasses. Direct Sight were contacted but this time they refused to provide a replacement as my daughter had not kept the damaged items to return.
I sent them emails showing what was provided previously when a replacement was readily given, no questions asked. They replied by saying that this was done as a matter of good will though this was not made clear at the time. As this was a second occurance they were not prepared to send replacement without the original damaged glasses.
The fact that this a second occurance is on them, not on my daughter, though it is her that is being penalised. The glasses, on either occasion, were not fit for purpose and not of satisfactory quality.
They claimed that this scenario was covered in their Ts and Cs but it was not made clear that in order for a replacement to be sent the other damaged items had to be returned.
Their lack of consistency in their decisions is concerning as is their clearly interpreting the Ts and Cs to their advantage. Not to mention that their products are not of merchantible quality.
My order has been in since 16th December and was meant to be sent on the 22nd its now the 8th January and I've still not been given a date my order will be sent.
With regards to communication, I have to email daily for an update and I'm given the same response.
Had a small issue with my glasses which customer service sorted out very quickly. I couldn’t recommend them more, brilliant!

On date of expected delivery which was calculated already with extra time for Christmas, company emailed saying the glasses had not yet even been produced.
Only compensation offered was the difference of the next day delivery that had been paid, and no forecast of when the glasses would finally be produced.
If you cannot offer the service you are advertising then don't advertise it in the first place. This is false advertising.
Still waiting on full refund.

I was very impressed with the next day delivery service. I forgot my glasses while working in England for a week and urgently needed a replacement pair, so I uploaded my prescription from my home country.
There was good communication along the process and I received my new glasses the following day, all for under 50 pounds inc. postage. The Quality (considering both frames and lenses were the least expensive option available) were pretty good and the package was delivered with the 8am post.
For this service, I would happy recommend this company!
Due to a mistake on my part, the wrong glasses were sent to me. Maria at customer services was very helpful and quickly sent me a new pair. Great service.
Really pleased with the service and the high quality of my new glasses. Ordering them was easy online and they were delivered promptly. The frames are really well made and far superior to my last ones that I purchased from Specsavers. All in all really happy with my purchase and will definitely be using this company again.
I ordered two pairs of identical glasses on the 20th November, and received a conformation of my order on the same day. Five days later I get an email to say my order is dispatched and would arrive 3 to 5 working days later. When the parcel arrived, there was only one pair of glasses. I contacted the company on the same day to tell them. The reply said the glasses were set for dispatch on Monday, this was an out and out lie. The glasses were not dispatched until Wednesday, and not due to arrive for another five days, I suspect they were not even being made at the time of my email. When you have made a mistake why don’t you send them express at your own cost to make up for your error it is clear that you only make one pair of my order for two of the same glasses. This poor level of communication and customer service means I will be placing my orders elsewhere in future
Received my order today 02/12/2024, a few days off their estimated delivery date (29/11/2024), but what a good company to do business with, this is my second pair of prescription glasses from DIRECTSIGHT and when required without doubt I'd use them again! Very polite and helpful staff, great choice and value for money!
Very quick response to my order and received within a week even though I have a prescription with prisms. I had to pay extra for those, but they were still cheaper than from my optician.

My wife and I have had a number of pairs of glasses from Direct Sight. Latest was a reglaze of some existing frames. Order complete and ready for collection in under two hours. Fantastic service.

Order my glasses nearly 4 weeks ago with a confirmed shipment from this company on the 14th. I've reached out and requested the tracking number with Royal Mail since they haven't arrived. Customer service have told me several times its been shipped but will not provide the tracking. I think this is a simple request since no delivery. Customer service said they'll raise an investigation after 5 working days from shipment which may I add has already passed!
How can they say they can't tell me where my glasses are. Absolutely shocking. Will not be using this company again. AVOID.
Raised a formal complaint and waiting the response. Never had such secrecy from a company when I've spent over £100.

I was apprehensive after reading reviews on here but I'm actually really glad I ordered from this company. My only negative is that the glasses took longer to arrive than advertised but I really like my frames and paid extra for thin lenses which arrived as requested.
Not a great experience sadly. I ordered a pair of varifocals as my first prescription glasses. They arrived but I couldn’t read at all with them. Asked for a refund which was refused. They did offer a replacement pair so I agreed to that. They came, still couldn’t read with this pair. Had to then do a 30 mile round trip to get a specific measurement from Specsavers who gave me the prescription. Sent that off and eventually a third pair arrived. Yet again I still couldn’t read with this pair either. On this occasion they offered a refund which I eagerly accepted. I asked if they would also refund the post and packaging I had to pay for the two returns, they refused. I’ve no glasses and am out of pocket too.
This whole scenario took months. I wouldn’t recommend.
