Very poor service

The poor service that I received from Directed IRA might be due to the fact that my invested amount was less than 150,000 (even though this is no excuse). After transferring my money to them, I could never get calls back for any help with initial placement options, even though they knew from the beginning that I was new to this type of investing and would need this help. Even though I did not make many calls throughout my 2+ year span with them (maybe 5), on those occasions, each time I left messages with actual assistants, only to not receive any call back, even from the person who initially set up my account (and I am sure was commissioned to do so).

Their variable fees will eat your…

Their variable fees will eat your retirement funds. I have been with this company since April 2024. At first this company seems like a good solution to manage your retirement but it is a trap with Ever-Increasing fees every year. I wish I knew about their crazy fees for your money to sit on a trust. Also, any processing fee went from $25.00 to $50 even if the bill to pay is $4.00. Their yearly fee went from $295 to $350 so far. Worst than a bank or ANY brokerage account. This is not a real solution for real Americans with a 401K or IRA. Honestly you are better off keeping your funds outside these SDIRA companies. DIRECTEDIRA.com need to lower their fees in order to be competitive with your current 401k or IRA accounts. Protect your retirement...stay away!

Gonna Go Broke With This Company

Awful experience. My parent had previously opened a CryptoIRA account for me while I was underage at this company and once I was over 18 I had it transferred to me. I soon found out about the fees associated with this company and they are outrageous. The annual fee was around $300 (by the time I reach retirement I'll have no money left) on top of fees anytime I try to make a trade, deposit, or remove money from the account. Then, I decided I wanted to transfer the account to ITrustCapital, which only has fees when you make trades and no annual fees. However, DirectedIRA refused to transfer my coins in a timely manner. I called them multiple times, and they continued to assure me that everything would be transferred within 3 business days. After a month of calling them, I received an email saying that I would be charged $200 PER COIN to transfer to ITrust. I have 12 different types of crypto coins in my account so this would total $2400, which was more than all of my coins are even worth. My only other option was to liquidate all the coins and transfer the money in USD, which I would prefer not to do. I wish I could just remove my credit card from the account and be done with it.
