I'm currently going through the process for the second time this year. First experience was very positive. This time my experience is the opposite, I have tried to contact the solicitors and can't get a response via the portal or ringing them direct. Not impressed this time round at all.

I'm sorry to say that I have been extremely disappointed by the portal. When I first registered I was quite excited at the possibility that it would make the purchase much easier and user friendly. It actually did the opposite as no updates were added, no sections were ticked and no messages were replied to by my solicitors. I ended up having to continuously ring and email for updates and to push things which caused more stress. In my circumstances with my solicitor not engaging with the portal without being chased and even then still failing to do it, I found the portal pointless and a bit of a gimmick.

Very poor service, I have been emailing and calling the lawyer for more than a week and I haven't heard back ever, I don't even know if they started the search or what. Do not use them to buy one of the most important thing in your life.

Do NOT digital move to buy a property…
Using digital move to buy a property and everything to do with them has been shocking and put a downer on the whole experience. They have not once called us for information, but instead leave it to us to chase everything. I've been waiting on answers to enquiries for a month now, asking them to chase. I called the estate agent and it turns out they were never chased. Seems like I'm doing their job for them and being footed with the bill. Also using a forces help to buy and again footed with an extra £150, despite the paperwork being sat on their desk for a week. 3 months since getting an offer accepted and seems no where near complete yet. A useless service and unhelpful staff. Calls constantly go through to voicemails, with the instruction not to leave a message. It last took me for attempts to call and speak to a person, which to me seems very unprofessional. Would not recommend!

Sometime you cant get access to the message as it's emailed to your partner. I have done a mortgage before with a lawyer i could talk to and it was much faster and smoother. If you get offered a digital move i would suggest politely refusing that way of doing it

Great service
Used DigitalMove recently and found it very easy to use their website and communication with the company was excelent. I have had used a lawyer company before but this one was one of the best and prices for their services are reasonable. I will use them in the future and I highly recommend them.

Spent a long time uploading documents
Spent a long time uploading documents, only to be asked to email them as well. Solicitor was doing the conveyance for 2 properties and required me to upload the file twice, extremely time wasting and I cant believe the system cant deal with copying the files (such as proof) to a new case - crazy and frustrating.

Used DigitalMove recently and found it very easy and intuitive to use. The platform definitely made the conveyancing process a lot quicker compared to my prior transactions with conveyancing firms over emails and basic document upload platforms.

Terrible
Terrible! This is no step forwards, more like 50 steps backwards! The whole experience is so clunky and poor. It was 100x easier just calling your solicitor or dropping them an email. I realise that the platform is only as good or bad as the solicitor using it, but it provides them with the perfect shield to hide poor service behind. Every single step of my purchase process so far has been awful. Examples, the progress checklist is not being updated unless I ask, issues just being left unresolved until I chase. Nagged on a daily basis about my 'tasks' outstanding even when they aren't required for weeks. I am actually tempted to just give up and go old school to my local Solicitor despite the wasted money!

If I could give zero stars I would. This is the most stressful and frustrating thing to use for conveyancing. Every single stage has been difficult to use. It almost made us give up on buying completely. Not happy at all!
