I found DickSmith to be prompt with their delivery of packages. Everything has been packed really good. Excellent service. Easy online access and easy to use purchasing procedures. All items are well displayed on the DickSmith website. Will definitely shop there again and again

I was scammed by D-i-ck Smith and by a retailer on their website known as "Super Deals" and registered as a business called Zed Traders Pty Ltd.

I bought an electronics item valued at over $1000, and was promised shipping between 1-5 days. The business provided a fake Auspost tracking ID. The item is nowhere to be seen more than two weeks later and my demands for a refund have been ignored.

I see reading these reviews that many people are in a similar situation and this cannot be allowed to continue. We have good consumer protections laws in this country. Let's use them.

My advice to you if you are in this situation is to follow these steps:

1. Find out which business trading on the D Smith platform actually sold your product. Note down their business name and ABN (you'll need it later).
2. Immediately contact your bank to dispute the transaction and request a charge back on your credit card.
3. Contact the fair trading agency in your state and make a formal complaint.
4. Go to the "Scamwatch" website run by the ACCC and report the transaction as a scam.

D-i-ck Smith is a cover brand for scammers, frauds and rip off merchants. Let's get it shut down.

Charged $129 for a useless membership I never evdn signed up for! Near impossible to contact customer support to get a refund and cancel the membership.

This has been a genuinely frustrating experience. I emailed D Smith three times about an issue with my order and didn’t receive a single response. Not even an acknowledgement. When something goes wrong, silence is not acceptable customer service.

There’s also no phone number to call, which means you can’t speak to a real person or get anything resolved quickly. If email is the only option and no one replies, you’re effectively left stranded.

The product itself was the final disappointment. It was poor quality and not what I expected at all, and it didn’t match how it was presented online. It felt misleading and nowhere near the standard implied at the point of purchase.

My advice to others is simple: be careful ordering from this site. If the product isn’t right, getting help appears to be very difficult, if not impossible.

This experience has completely undermined my trust in the brand.

Bought a pedometer watch for Christmas. Did not arrive on time so had to purchase another one on Christmas Eve for my daughter. Tried to return it. Couldn’t. Went back and forth for weeks. Admit defeat and have to my son to work. Faulty. Doesn’t work. They will

Will never buy D (won’t let me type the name as ‘rude’) smith online ever again! How convenient when people are trying to warn others of how bad this company is.

I ordered a stretched canvas print 30/12/25, which was to be sent via The Affordable Art Company. D!ck Smith took full payment and sent an order confirmation. Then.... silence. I received no shipping or tracking info from the Affordable Art Company, just a line on the order confirmation email saying the supplier was running a bit behind. Given that it was just after Christmas, I gave it 2 weeks before sending an email to D!ck Smith. The email form on the D!ck Smith website apparently forwards to the supplier direct. I recieved no response from either D!ck Smith or the supplier. I sent another email through the same link. Nothing. I looked up the Affordable Art Company and sent an email direct to them on their Support@.. email. I get a Postmaster advice email that the email was rejected and I couldn't email them direct. (Why is their email on their website then???) I don't mind particularly that they have taken a while to ship - Christmas holidays may have meant skeleton staff etc.. but the silence is deafening. Surely someone can answer emails? I will wait another week or so before trying something else to get my nearly $300 back but I'm not quite sure what to do next....
If anybody asks me, I will be telling them to avoid ordering ANYTHING from D!ck Smith Online!
I will also point out that having to spell it as D!ck Smith is ridiculous but Trust Pilot won't let me spell it as it should be because it deems it inappropriate language. Seriously.

I purchased a 'new' Fitbit Versa 2 in Nov 2024, approx 12 months later the button has not worked so I contacted Fitbit directly. It turns out this Versa 2 was a replaced watch and Fitbit will not honour the warranty saying it was purchased in 2022. DickSmith use online sellers, in this case "Digi Legion", which appear to have done something dodgy and onsold a replaced watch or something along those lines. Won't be using DickSmith or Kogan again.

I went to buy the item on another website and the shipping was $174.00.
I then searched the table got it cheaper from Australian DickSmith and delivery was free.
You should go to DickSmith first before searching anywhere else.

U were patient while waiting for my purchase, the only thing is that I will have to wait until after the thirtieth before it is dispatched really need it urgently as my old aircon is about had it. Shipped super fast. Work well. Minor complaint they are just in a cardboard box nothing sealable .

Wrongly assumed the D*ck Smith name meant it was a trustworthy platform. Ordered an item, received a shipping notification, and a shipping ID for Couriers Please. Except, the Couriers Please website stated it wasn't a valid shipping ID. No progress for a week, repeated queries through the D*ck Smith website, only to find out the item was from a third party seller (VEVOR), and D*ck Smith is actually Kogan! Finally received a reply stating "logistics delays" and offering a refund, although that hasn't appeared yet. And directing me to order the item through different channels. So basically admitting they never shipped the item and the shipping ID was bogus.

They are scammers. You are not able to return and you are not able to contact them in ANY capacity to return a product if you have any issues with it. I purchased a product that was faulty and haven't heard back for weeks and weeks.
