Suspension and Payment Issues

I had a really disappointing experience with Depop. My account was permanently suspended after I reported another user for sending inappropriate messages. Instead of being supported, I was penalized, which felt like a lack of proper review and context.

I also had an issue where one of my listings was flagged, but I was never given a clear opportunity to correct it before the suspension.

On top of that, I still had a balance in my account at the time, which made the situation even more stressful due to the uncertainty around my funds.

I understand platforms need rules, but I wish there was a more fair and transparent process before taking such permanent action.

The coach bag I was sent was an awful counterfeit coach bag. I thought I was buying a second hand bag. I received a full refund of 168.00 plus postage from Depop when I returned the bag so the service is great but now the bag is back for sale…. I think you should return fakes to Depop, not the seller.

Listed for £260, paid 260 TRY – no response from support

I listed my original Louis Vuitton scarf for £260 on this platform, but it was displayed as 260 TRY without my knowledge. I live in the UK and have no connection to Turkey.

I shipped the item believing I would receive £260. Instead, I was paid only 260 Turkish Lira, which caused me a significant financial loss.

After the transaction, the buyer blocked me, and I have been unable to contact them. At the same time, I have contacted the platform multiple times and received no response at all.

This situation is extremely suspicious and concerning. I have taken screenshots as evidence. I also discovered that other items I listed were displayed in TRY instead of GBP, but I only realized this after suffering a major loss.

I strongly warn others to be very careful when using this platform.

I expect a full refund and a proper investigation into this issue.

Depop Protected Me From Scam Buyer

I’m a seller on Depop and had someone try to scam me after they bought an item and tried to return it for a refund without actually sending the item back. I recorded myself opening the package and submitted documentation of the reports I made to various regulatory bodies for mail fraud and after they looked into the matter they ended up giving my money back and banned the scammer’s account. Their customer service took about a day to get back to me but they ended up being super helpful! Shoutout to Tom L. from Depop Help!

Scam

Scam - no protection for mis advertising.

I received a product that was not the advertised size. I opened several cases with evidence such as measurements that showed the size was inaccurate. Depop closed my cases without comment and refused to respond or assist in any way.

They said no fee’s and there is.

Just seen depop commercial and had to read its rules and regulations in the App Store, stopped reading when I got to the part of fee’s, I believed hearing no fee’s in the commercial, that was contradicting and not good, we barely trust our governed world, here’s another business with there contradictions.

Customer service is shit

Customer service is absolutely horrible!! They left me high and dry after an email from them and a account change "accidentally " from them made my account look like it was hacked it took me 4 days and multiple emails and alot of stress to finally get an explanation that wasnt a generic email this experience has made me rethink selling on this platform why would you want to do business with a company whose customer service is absolute shit

Worst place to buy anything

Worst place to buy anything . I bought an item . It turned out to be counterfeit . Opened the case with depop . App wasn’t updating or giving any updates on the case for 2 weeks . After two weeks says that it’s been escalated to depop . Still no updates after until I contact depop and they said they’ve sent me an email long time ago to return the item and that dispute was escalated long time ago even tho app says something different . I’ve even paid another company to get certificate that item is counterfeit but depop doesn’t care . On top they asked me to return counterfeit item which on its own is illigal . Clowns . Stay as far as possible from them .

Depop is now my main selling platform, customer service is very quick to respond and solve issues, listing is easy and straight forward and fees are much lower than other platforms, Depop is taking positive steps to address bad seller and buyer behavior, Overall great platform in my opinion

Don't bother

Can't find what you need because of all the irrelevant tags sellers are allowed to spam their junk with. Utterly unusable.

The Instasham interface means you can't see the details unless clicking on each item.

Need to make it easier to find the…

Need to make it easier to find the customer support contact info. It was frustrating trying to find a way to contact support about this issue. It should never be difficult to contact customer support when buying from a site like this. Great otherwise, waiting to complete my return & receive a full refund + shipping as promised.
