These robbers have tried to take a payment from my account today but got the pin incorrect. I will be changing all my banking details as a result of this. Conning scamming low lives.
I had placed a gambling block on my bank account several years ago to prevent any gambling-related transactions.
Unfortunately, I deposited funds to an online unlicensed casino.
Despite the gambling block in place, the casino employed Depasify.com as a third party merchant to disguise the true nature of the transaction, thereby bypassing the block by using an incorrect Merchant Category Code (MCC).
The practice of using incorrect MCC codes violates both Visa and Mastercards Regulations. The reason for this is that it opens up the banks and 3rd Party payment processors to the risks of chargebacks.
There is an Infosys report online detailing this practice, where the process is referred to as “Transaction Laundering”.
I have complained to Depasify.com who do not seem concerned that they are involved in this practice given their lack of response.
I feel companies that are involved in this practice wether directly or indirectly need to take responsibility for their involvement and the impact this has on people particularly where like myself suffer from mental health issues.
They have also gone against their own anti money laundering policy and customer maximum deposit policies as well as not implementing KYC procedures.
